  1. Happy to see Dillon back. Decent RB2 and a great guy. Just waiting to see the cost.
  2. Haase is making himself hard to ignore. That 1.207 OPS is insane. Spring training doesn't matter and all that, but to me he has earned an OD spot, especially with Sánchez not 100% yet.
  3. Agreed. Looked good last year. If he sucks they can always DFA him.
  4. Awful news and I hope Devin gets well soon. As for the bullpen, I'm guessing a combo of Megill, Payamps, Uribe, Milner to close games. This also frees a roster spot, and I am interested what they will do with it. Do you carry Wilson + another long relief guy to cover innings or do more normal middle relief guys like Viera or Clarke get a chance?
  5. If Rea can bring his 4.5% homerun percentage down to something in the 3.5-3.9% range, he is golden.
  6. I think maybe more of a closer by committee sort of thing? Megill and Payamps, maybe joined by Uribe later.
  7. Colin looks good today. Fastball looks lively.
  8. There is a small error with a player named Luis Ortiz being named as a lock for the opening day. I assume you meant Joey?
  9. Per today's news and notes: C Jeferson Quero and OF Chris Roller optioned to Triple-A Nashville. RHP Bradley Blalock was optioned to Double-A Biloxi. Reassigned to Minor League camp: C/1B Wes Clarke, RHP Sam Carlson, RHP Evan McKendry, RHP Tobias Myers and RHP Carlos Rodríguez.

  10. AM Sterio to start the year to gain a year of control on Black. After that, depends on performance.
  11. Does anyone know if it will be broadcasted?
  12. Lane back to his awful sends
  13. Quero will more than likely get at least 6 years service time if he is only a backup catcher. If his floor is basically being Caratini, that's around $8 million at least.
  14. Any news on what velo is Ashby reaching? Last year in the minors he wasn't throwing too hard
  15. This will be a fun trivia answer in a few years
  16. Only 46 innings but good average to above average numbers in BB/9, HR/9, SO/9 and H/9. Also see he has "stupendous" slider. Interesting lotto ticket.
  17. Jackson Chourio Undisputable. Franchise cornerstone for the next decade.Jeferson Quero Nothing new. Love the hit tool. Love the glove. Waiting to see how he recovers from injury and how he does in Nashville. Ranked above Misio because I think Quero is a safer bet to be a solid major leaguer.Jacob Misiorowski Misio has a higher ceiling than Quero, but the control is the question. We'll see what happens this season as they increase his innings. Hopefully the lab can help him get even below average control. Future TOR.Tyler Black Great tools all around. Should be on a platoon at 3B by opening day at the very least. Nothing left to prove at the minor league level. Robert Gasser Again, nothing left to prove. Consistent arm to solidify the middle of the rotation for years to come. Ranked higher than C-Rod because he is major league readyBrock Wilken Another great hit tool, with great power. Future first baseman. Could be in the majors as early as this year, depending on how he does in Biloxi and Nashville. Carlos F Rodriguez . I like C-Rod's ceiling better than Gasser's, but Robert is ready to go to the majors. C-Rod is still unproven in AAA. Shouldn't be too much of a challenge, and I expect him in Milwaukee by September.Luis Lara I'm not as high as others are on him. I don't like the complete lack of power. An elite defender with what could be an elite hit tool. I think the future is too uncertain with him for me to rank him any higher.DL Hall The stuff is amazing. He just can't get it under control. The reliever risk is too high. We'll see how he does with the pitching lab. Results late in the season are encouraging, so we shall see.Cooper Pratt Love the tools and the idea of him. Now I need to see him perform in Carolina.Joey Ortiz Nothing to prove in the minors and an elite glove. Can he perform in the big leagues?Mike Boeve Strong profile but struggled in Appleton. Need to see how he'll adjust.Eric Brown Jr I wasn't very high on him last year, but I think he is better than I gave him credit for. Great performance in the AFL, I do need to see more power develop.Yophery Rodriguez Has done great in the DR. Need to see how he does stateside before ranking him higher.Logan Henderson Ace in Carolina. Needs to face better competition closer to his age.Josh Knoth Fantastic pure stuff. Unproven in the minors so ranked low. Need to see how he'll do.Luke Adams Great all around. Needs better competitionEric Bitonti Love the promise he shows. Waiting to see how he does at the pro level before ranking him any higher.Wes Clarke Love the bat. I think he has a chance to make the OD roster. I honestly prefer him to Bauers.Shane Smith Electric reliever. 60 innings and an ERA under 2? Sign me up. I think he can break camp in 2025. Really solid and deep group. The Top 30 to 15 are really hard to rank. Guys like Ortiz or Boeve would have been #1 a few years ago. Exiting future. I rank based on tools but also performance. If your bat is allegedly plus-plus, you should show some results. Otherwise what good does that tool do? Here are some other guys I like in no particular order. Juan Baez, Demetrio Nadal, Patricio Aquino, Coleman Crow, Dylan O'Rae, Ryan Birchard, Bishop Letson, Daniel Guilarte, Edwin Jimenez, Bradley Blalock, Ryan Brady, Will Rudy, Satchell Norman, Melvin Hernandez, Eric Prado, Eniel Cortez,
  18. I feel Ross might be in the rotation rather than Junis. Otherwise I agree.
  19. Prefer him to Haase and Nola. Useful to have enough catchers until Quero is ready, especially with Hasse and Nola's recent batting record.
  20. Having thought about it more, I think I am fine with the return, Hall is a HUGE question mark. Can he control his stuff enough to be a starter? Ortiz is decent and can contribute. The draft pick is also pretty great because of the extra bonus pool money. The 34th pick is assigned 2.48 million. Lets us get another Cooper Pratt. I think I would have been perfect with the deal had we gotten a lotto ticket/lower-ranked prospect. Someone like Trace Bright or Alex Pham. Interesting arms, far from guarantees. Overall, I think its to early to form an opinion. Can't wait to see the new guys in Spring Training.
  21. Last year was plenty deep and we ended up signing Julio Teheran. Its always good to have pitching depth. Just in case.
  22. I've seen 2 years- 22M which could be decent. I understand the concerns about blocking prospects but I really want us to have a solid rotation and prospects can do what Burnes, Woody, Freddy did in 2018.
  23. So 1.Peralta 2.Miley 3.Rea 4.Gasser 5.Hall 6,Ashby if healthy/Ross. I'd like one more solid guy. Another Rea-type to solidify the rotation. Especially since Miley will get injured at some point and Ashby probably won't be ready at the start of the season.
