  1. Us too. We unplugged ours around the 20th.
  2. I didn't get much chance to digest this trade yet (found out about it late last night), but so far I like what I've read. I liked Segura, but I think after 2015 it was time for him to move on. It has been obvious for a while now that he wasn't going to be our long term SS, so better to deal him now while he still has some decent trade value. Losing Wagner is kind of "meh" to me, and I really like what I've heard about Diaz so far.
  3. Whoever that writer is can go eat a bag of balls...baseballs. If the Brewers existed in a complete vacuum, then yes, their current strategy would be terrible. They aren't in a vacuum, though. They're in a highly competitive division right now with no realistic outlook to overtake the Cardinals, Cubs, Pirates, etc.
  4. That is a very interesting idea, but I feel like that would take away too much from late game strategy...for instance, taking out a Khris Davis and putting in a Carlos Gomez type fielder in the 9th inning.
  5. http://www.tmj4.com/sports/baseball/milwaukee-brewers/miller-park-2016-from-free-ice-cream-to-top-executive-suites Some new fan-friendly things, including a free meal for kids.
  6. I agree with this reasoning. The game has become so specialized nowadays, that I don't think it makes sense to have pitchers pretending they can hit anymore. Most of them can't. I don't find it entertaining to watch, personally.
  7. Our recent history with the current logo has been less crappy (at least somewhat), so I'd kind of hate to see them ditch the current logo. I'm OK with the throwback alternate, but not sure I'd like to see the team go back to it permanently.
  8. Yeah, this doesn't bother me, though I didn't mind the gold jerseys. I actually do like the look of this one. It's similar to a mockup a poster has done on here in the past.
  9. That's the powder blue one, though. I actually have one of those. Most of us in this thread are talking about the gray jersey.
  10. I've never actually heard him do play by play. It would be nice to have someone with local ties in the booth again, along with Uke.
  11. Yes, that jersey is probably my all time favorite Brewers uni. I like it way better than the white pin stripe jersey that has become the ubiquitous Brewers "throwback" variation. If someone from the Brewers is reading this, they should note there are plenty on this forum that would love to spend their money on a uniform replica of this.
  12. If the Brewers left, I'd probably half-heartedly follow the Twins and White Sox. No way could I ever be a Cubs fan. I wouldn't go out of my way to really keep up with MLB anymore if the Brewers left.
  13. It seems plausible, but I'm not going to hold my breath for something to pan out right now.
  14. He had grown on me quite a bit. Hopefully the next person they get will stay for more than a handful of years before moving on.
  15. I really like the Bernie chalet one. It's pretty cool they have the fans vote on this.
  16. I think you mean "amphetamines." I've never heard of meth being widely used by MLB players, at least as a performance enhancer. Amphetamines were actually legal in the US, up until (I believe), the late 1970s. Basically like taking a mega-dose of caffeine.
  17. Glad for the two that got in. I also personally wish Jeff Kent and Lee Smith did better in the voting...I feel they both should be in, though I know they probably won't.
  18. Hey guys. I'm late to the party, but I agree with those who are OK with this signing. I'm glad we're not wasting tons of money on a more premier "name" 1B, like a Kendrys Morales type guy who won't be that great anyway. It's cheap, and maybe we can flip him at the deadline if he's hitting well for something with more long term value to the club.
  19. Hope it worked out for you. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=34813
  20. I think at least Mark Attanasio comes off as a true fan of the club who is passionate about where the club is heading and understands fans may get frustrated by a non-contending team. That's a lot better than a lot of the generic corporate cheerleading that you get from many sports owners. Citing Baseball America, etc. shows that he is at least fairly in tune with the makeup of the franchise.
  21. Good letter. I just hope most fans have the patience to go through a rebuild, which I think most of us would say we've been overdue for.
  22. It's an MiLB deal, so it's not like this is a big risk. Moves like this are what the Brewers should be doing right now, especially with 3B being such a huge question mark right now.

  24. Not sure if that would be the case if he goes back to 7. I think Windows 10 continues to be free through next summer or something. I very well might roll back to Windows 7 and see how that goes. The PC in question is solely being used for a arcade gaming cabinet I built from a kit, so it doesn't really make much difference in the grand scheme of things.
  25. It was Windows 7. Will I still be OK with that one for a while?
