  1. Things that came to mind watching the game: Playing with your food, especially up 8 with about 5 to go. Boyd playing hero ball instead of running the 5 out with all 5 involved. They could have/should have dominated in the post. I know Winter coming back from injury is partly to blame, but still
  2. I went to the game last night for the same reason (cheap ticket, last chance to see Giannis), and I feel the same way. The first quarter was fun, and the rest was just sad. Poor switches on defense leading to mismatches, easy lay ups and open threes again and again. A lot of finger pointing on offense like no one knew what to do. The Cam Thomas, 4 bigs lineup made no sense to me. A far cry from the Bud days where there was a definite system in place and players knew their roles. There is talent and athleticism on this team, I think just as much as Atlanta, Charlotte, and Boston. A better coach could get more out of this group. Sadly, I don't think GIannis stays around for that. The stadium was less than half full, and with 6 minutes left only down 12, it pretty much emptied out. It wasn't just the late start time that people aren't showing up or staying.
  3. It would be interesting betting odds which of Wilken, Adams, Burke and Fischer has the best year this year. With all the bad luck he's had, my heart is pulling for Wilken.
  4. I only saw the highlights, but is Austin Rapp the "Giannis" of the Badgers? Whenever he's not injured and plays, they win!
  5. 1) Megill; 2) Uribe; 3) Koenig; 4) Ashby; 5) Patrick; 6) Hall; 7) Zerpa; 8) Anderson In this arrangement, I can see Ashby, Patrick, Hall, Zerpa piggybacking/opening 2-3 innings for starters Woody, Miz, Priester, Harrison, Gasser, If our starters get through five, we could be pretty hard to score against.
  6. Is it just me, or did the Badgers miss Winters in the post alot today? Seems like he had quite of few good seals, or over the top looks that they just never passed to him.
  7. I know they've had they're ups and downs, but I think I like this Badgers team just as much as last years.
  8. Maybe Brett Baty, who apparently could now be on the trading block? "There could be more moves in the works. Stearns could trade Baty or Vientos perhaps for an outfielder or pitching help." - ESPN, David Schoenfield
  9. Was at the game last night, and sat by 5 Cubs fans. Have to give them props. They cheered hard and respectfully the entire game, and after the final out, they left quietly, and each shook my hand and wished the Brewers good luck. It's fun to rail on Cub fans, It's harder when the stereotype doesn't always match
  10. Darn, you beat me to it. I'll take them next if they're still available.
  11. I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Wow, those were really bad!
  13. I apologize for not being more optimistic,,, LET'S GO!
  14. Finished the year 10-2 after tonight. Bring on the playoffs!

  16. Hard to argue too much with this (though I really want Woodie back); in fact, if Quero is our backup catcher, Siegler our backup infielder, Bauers/EMJ our backup 1st baseman, we literally might not need to sign a single free agent.
  17. Big Woo comes back and dominates...out of control Abner Uribe is the epitome of stability...destined for the bullpen Miz is an all star...Andrew Vaughn has his own T shirt night...Isaac Collins the leading candidate for rookie of the year...we own Paul Skenes...Sal and Brice are homerun threats...12-0 with no Chourio...I mean how many more "pinch me am I dreaming" moments could there possibly be?
  18. After the final out tonight, the stadiums speakers were playing "Glory Days." Not sure if they've done that before, but it sure seems fitting for this team...
  19. My 8 year old son and I were at the crushing Mets playoff game last year. We were at the game last night. After Marte's double, he immediately said, "Oh no, Dad. What if it happens again?" NOT THIS YEAR, BABY! And if you want to talk about optimism, the crowd from the 400's level was chanting "LET'S GO BREWERS!" the whole way down the ramp til we got out of the stadium. BREWER NATION IS PSYCHED!
  20. I have never had a man crush before. Andrew Vaughn is my first and last. UNVAUGHNTED!
