  1. He also had to throw a ton pitches in the first inning after the Hamilton error and then had to immediately go out there for the second inning after the bottom of the lineup put up a quick dreadful performance.
  2. I think so, I compare it to drafting pass rushers in the first round of the NFL. Even though the bust rate is high for them, it is a premium position and like power in MLB, high risk but HIGH reward. And considering the Brewers have shown the ability to draft other types and pitching later in the draft, I think it is a good idea to keep hunting for power early in the draft. And you also get the boon of the international signings, which lessens the impact if you miss on these guys so you might as well as swing for the fences (sorry).
  3. Red Sox fans like to say that, but then why did they trade for two SPs before the Durbin trade in the offseason in Gray and Oviedo?
  4. Brewers were willing to start Bauers twice in LF in the playoffs so yeah agreed he should start in LF against RHP until performance from him or others dictates otherwise.
  5. They aren't playing backup though since Yelich is basically the full time DH now, so one of them has to be the starter. I do think Perkins makes and stays on the team no matter what, but he is like permanently the backup. Like if they start out with Mitchell and he fails, I think Lockridge comes up to be the starter and Perkins stays in the backup role for example. The good news in general is there's a ton of options so you hope one of them pans out, be it Mitchell, Lockridge, Jett, put Chourio in CF and Bauers in LF, hell maybe Baddoo tears up AAA and gets a shot in LF etc.
  6. And in a similar vein International players, even if they got a big bonus, are more apt to sign an extension because a good chunk of that signing bonus money ends up going to their handlers.
  7. Surgery is not common for nTOS, although maybe it is different for a professional athlete. Like 60-70% of cases don’t need surgery. Venous like Wheeler has and arterial TOS basically require surgery though.
  8. Turang also has 4 years of control left and wouldn't be a free agent until 2030, while Contreras only has this year and next.
  9. LF: Adamczewski CF: Pena RF: Chourio C: Quero 1B: Fischer 2B: Turang SS: Made 3B: Jett
  10. Yeah he has neurogenic TOS. Seems pretty common it doesn't require surgery, and worst case if he does it sounds like pitchers return to back the same ability level pre surgery so he would be good to go next year.
  11. Fangraphs compared him to Alfonso Soriano if he pans out
  12. Man after seeing Harrison’s change up yesterday, Brewers may want to start with a 6 man rotation. According to Hogg, Harrison who struggled throwing a kick change with the Red Sox last year figured out a grip that works for him in the offseason. It looked like a legit weapon yesterday and is a huge unlock when facing righties.
  13. Fun article with even a Jack/Spencer tweet at the end. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2026/03/03/these-10-brewers-prospects-could-be-breakout-players-in-2026/88738933007/
  14. Feels pretty settled that the bench will be Sanchez, Bauers, Hamilton and Perkins. I don't see how the first three could be supplanted, so maybe an upset would be someone like Lockridge taking Perkins spot.
  15. Fangraphs Top 100 is out with Made at 2, Pena 24, Sproat 37(!), Jett 75, Quero 76, Henderson 88. They are all 50-FV tier except Pena at 55 and Made 65. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/2026-top-100-prospects/ Edit: ah you beat me
