  1. If he is that rusty he may not even get called up at all. I sure wouldn't call a person up just to run and that is how he got hurt in the 1st place diving into 3rd.
  2. Garrett Mitchell to go to Nashville on rehab assignment.
  3. I am 100% fine with Burns liking Caratini better, it gives Contreras some rest plus a pitcher catcher have a relationship. Also Caratini (8 starts): 2.08 ERA, .476 OPS, 6.5 innings per start, 3.6 strikeouts per walk Contreras (5 starts): 5.96 ERA, .816 OPS, 5.1 innings per start, 1.6 strikeouts per walk
  4. Cubs lost 6-4 Brewers with a 5 1/2 game lead now. Yippee!
  5. From Sept. 1 through the end of the regular season, all clubs must carry 28 players, with a limit of 14 pitchers.
  6. The New MLB Power Rankings came out today. Maybe this can help people decide. Brewers # 6 Phillies # 8 Cubs # 11 Diamondbacks # 13
  7. The way the Brewers go threw pitchers Miley better be on the roster also the addition of Donelson seemed to give new life to the Brewers. Andrew Chafen's arm is shot, no way he is making it.
  8. Josh Donelson with Brewers Average 9-14-23 .308 Since he is a 3rd baseman maybe he can play 1st base also.
  9. Turang is a great 2nd baseman. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
  10. Chourio is only in AA now and 19 years old, So maybe next year but I doubt if he will be here this year. But he is good.
  11. Twins’ Jose Miranda Slated For Season-Ending Surgery By Steve Adams | September 13, 2023 at 12:01pm CDT
  12. Council loves utility men, you can have them fill in, in spots where there are injuries.
  13. Monasterio is batting .273 Why would we get rid of him?
  14. 2 strikeouts today for Weimer.
  15. Jose Ramierez punched Tim Anderson also. Tim Anderson is nothing but trouble.
  16. I don’t really like Donaldson as a person, but he’s draw a fair bit of walks, hit a home run and a double in a short period of time. Heck he is hitting over .300 as a Brewer plus about 3 walks. Now Rowdy is another story.
  17. Weimer 115 strikeouts and 364 at bats that 31.5% of the at bats.
  18. Brewers give up a run in the 1st inning 54% of the time.
  19. He would face easier pitching to get his confidence back. As Yogi Berra always used to say. Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical.
  20. I think the collapse has gotten into Wiemers head and you won't be fixing that in the playoffs.
  21. I think he is our weakest link in the lineup. Any Ideas?
  22. Brewers News out at 7 AM. OF Tyrone Taylor reinstated from the 10-day injured list.
  23. LATEST NEWS Sept. 13: OF Mark Canha undergoes MRI on wrist Canha left Tuesday's game against the Marlins with a sore left wrist and underwent an MRI on Wednesday morning that revealed no structural damage. He received a cortisone shot and will have to let that work for several days before picking up a bat again on Friday. Based on past flare-ups of the same wrist, Canha said he doesn't anticipate a lengthy absence. With Canha down, the Brewers were missing a pair of outfielders, since Christian Yelich remained sidelined by a stiff -- but rapidly improving -- lower back. Yelich went through a pregame routine of running and hitting on Wednesday and was nearing a comeback, manager Craig Counsell said. Sept. 12: OF Blake Perkins, 1B Darin Ruf, OF Jesse Winker begin rehab assignments at Triple-A Nashville There were 20 days remaining in the regular season as of Tuesday, which explains the timing of the start of 20-day rehab assignments for a trio of players on the injured list, each of whom could be an emergency option in a potential postseason situation, should they be needed. Sept. 11: OF Garrett Mitchell nearing game action, pending clearance The Brewers remain hopeful that the speedy center fielder could contribute before the end of the season as Mitchell continues his comeback from left shoulder surgery in May. Mitchell has a doctor's appointment scheduled for Thursday or Friday, manager Craig Counsell said, at which time the club expects him to receive clearance to begin playing games at Triple-A Nashville. The Sounds' regular season runs through Sept. 24, one week before the end of the Major League regular season. "We’re very likely to, we’re hopeful, of getting a ‘start playing’ that day," Counsell said. "If he gets a thumbs up, the final clearance, he's obviously already doing a lot, taking live at-bats, running around, so if he gets the game action clearance, he would start at Nashville [the next day]. ... "Garrett is coming back from a serious injury. What I’m encouraged by is he’s going to get 10 or so days of possible game action. There will be some days off in there, obviously. But the more he can play, the more he’s going to learn about, ‘Am I good? Is this still affecting me?’ The game will tell him that. We’ve certainly got to clear that first and see how that goes.’
  24. Blake Perkins is on the 10 day IL. with an oblique strain, maybe that is what Counsell is waiting for. Our only real other choices are Canha or Tyrone Taylor but at this point why not. I think Counsell is doing it only for defensive purposes. I know Tyrone Taylor had that elbow issue not sure if that is 100%.
  25. I agree, Wiemer needs to be playing for Nashville.
