  1. Or Yelich could do it at a much more expensive price and clear an OF logjam. But we already are stuck with that deal. So he should be giving 1B a go.
  2. Yelich should be the first baseman. It would solve many problems on the roster. If he refuses to try the position, then I lose respect for the highest paid player in team history.
  3. -0.9 dWAR, he just takes up space in OF or at DH adding to the logjam. I realize they just want to nurse his back as much as possible to avoid making his terrible contract become a disaster, but 1B is the need of the team. So I guess he will just be a mediocre DH and the team will only win 81 games. So be it. It seems like they have no intention to actually try and compete this year but just protect assets and hope to rebuild.
  4. Yelich needs to be at 1B. He's 6'3" with a noodle arm. He is a colossal waste of money at DH. He creates a logjam at LF and frankly isn't any good out there anyway.
  5. But WHY was he "ruled out" at 1B? Because the player refuses to try? Because management is dumb? It has to be one of those. Yelich will not help the team in LF or DH.
  6. Yelich is 6'3" with a noodle arm. He's paid $26M. His contract is a team killer if he sits at DH. He needs to play 1B.
  7. Pretty much our equivalent of signing Yamamoto and Ohtani.
  8. Yelich should be 1B. He's 6'3" and has a noodle arm. This would free up the OF logjam. It won't happen of course because Yelich will refuse to play there and just kill the budget as a DH.
  9. Yelich needs to move to 1B. His massive contract means you need something more than DH and his arm is terrible. If they really plan Jake Bauer at 1B it means they have no hope of winning the Division and are eliminated on opening day.
  10. Yelich needs to move to 1B. He has a noodle arm so he is not qualified for OF and is too highly paid to be a DH. He needs to help the team by playing 1B.
  11. why would some junk reliever like Taylor Clarke mean anything? A 30-year-old reliever with a career 1.400 WHIP and 5.03 ERA?
  12. Or just trade him in January for Lux.
  13. "it seems as though the Brewers will once again have one of the more imposing starting rotations in the league" This seems optimistic. Woodruff made the Brewers rotation imposing. Without him its maybe just a little above average.
  14. Is there any talk about Yelich moving to first base? He doesn't have the arm anymore for OF and it seems like he has the frame and tools for 1B.
