  1. First year $3mm-$5mm; yr 2 mostly incentives with the same base that can run upwards of $12mm. Just guessing; I know nothing.
  2. Nice to dream, but this is more likely a down-the-road thing. It could impact this year by growing in usage if more than one of the other outfielders (Chourio, Mitchell, or Wiemer...or even Black) force their way into the line-up. It seems odd to say it, but second seems much better than third. There are power-hitting third basemen on the rise in the minor league system, even by next year. I'd be stunned if the team added another expensive FA this year.
  3. Mod edit: this was pulled from a duplicate thread. I generally don't look to Fansided for new info, but Reviewing the Brew says that Sal has been working with Dustin Pedroia for playing second base. I've heard this discussed among fans as a logical move, but this is the first I've heard of it actually happening. His quickness, arm, and "grit" seem to make him a prime candidate, and the plethora of outfielders also make it seemingly a no-brainer. I'd be surprised if he would be ready for prime time this year, but you never know.
  4. The Brewers should probably put Clarke at first and leave him there, letting him concentrate more on his bat without the pressures of catching. Hoskins is a one-year stopgap, and a big year at the plate could really position him for a shot at the show in '25. There seem to be enough options behind the plate to go that route.
  5. It shouldn't bother me that Keston Hiura signed with Detroit. There really was no place for him on this roster. But I had such high hopes for him, and it almost feels like the Brewers let him down instead of the other way around. Hope you break out big-time for the Tiggers, Kestdaddy!
  6. Ashby needs to do a lot more than that. He needs to show that he has recovered enough to pitch effectively. That may take quite a bit of time in the minors.
  7. For a "small fee" there are still some starters out there. Maybe Snell would like to have Sanchez as his personal catcher again...
  8. It seems likely to me that Ashby is in AAA until he shows that he's right. Or is "he's left"?
  9. Might see some of Black there, too, but my preference is Ortiz at second and Black at third. If Willy is traded short is Ortiz's to lose, and we could get a platoon at second with Turang getting most of the at bats. Man, I hope Black can handle third.
  10. Like the plan. In a direct deal with Miami the Brewers would have to include a prospect (EBJ?), so the trade through the Dodgers would be better. Nicely done.
  11. I am hair splitting, and both of our statements are true. I'm not saying this exact trade was predicted, I'm saying a trade of a bullpen arm was predicted. It wouldn't have been revelatory to have said that Andrews might be traded, or prescient. But it happened. I found it humorous.
  12. Oh come on. It was a trade of a bullpen arm immediately after it was predicted, whatever the reason.
  13. Meh. Backed by some logic, and makes a fairly strong case. Weak criticism.
  14. I'd love to get Snelling, but I think it will take an overpay to get him. And I'd be fine with that.
  15. Wait and see on the health of all of them (and effectiveness), and/or the desperation of other teams due to ineffectiveness/injury. No rush.
  16. yeah, the tweet I read made it sound like he would be signing with the Cubs. That would make me not happy.
  17. Thanks. Good to know.
  18. Do what it takes to get Snelling.
