  1. Agreed, he’s not the same guy he was before going on the bereavement list. There’s been no word on what happened and it’s none of my business but he probably should have taken a few more days off.
  2. Overall, this is great news. I was very worried it was going to be a tear. However, it might be best to put him on the IL to save Sal from himself. He doesn’t know how to play any way but at full-speed. Great news though!
  3. The Cubs are champing at the bit to knock Misiorowski off the pedestal he’s been placed on since Thursday’s start. We can expect a much different approach at the plate than the Cards gave him. Although unlikely, I really hope our offense can give him some early run support so he doesn’t think the world is resting on his shoulders.
  4. The Brewers have to pay Yelich through 2042…same production today that they’ll get 17 years from now.
  5. Alexander blows every game while exuding so much confidence. He’s a 6.0 ERA pitcher who walks around the mound like a 1.02 ERA pitcher.
  6. Last year, the Brewers never lost 4 in a row. This year, the Brewers never win 4 in a row.
  7. Orlando Arcia is now available. Maybe it’s time to make a move. Arcia hasn’t been hitting the ball well in Atlanta but it can’t be worse than what Ortiz is giving us.
  8. In 2022, while in the White Sox minor league system, Meyers went 1–15 with a 7.82 ERA in 76 innings. He was second in the minors in losses that year. Unfortunately, I’m starting to think 2024 was a fluke.
  9. As soon as I heard Jeff Levering say it’s up to Yelich to try to keep this game alive, I knew the game was over.
  10. This team lacks spark in 2025 and hasn’t been able to win a game in which they’ve been scored on first. I’m not going to sit through another brutal 8 to 1 loss.
  11. I know he doesn’t play for the Cubs but can someone punch Jesse Winker’s very punchable face? It worked last year.
  12. The only thing that gives me hope…the Brewers were 16-16 on May 2, 2024.
  13. I love that Durban is staying in his lane during these early days of his career. If he adds power to his approach, let it be a natural progression and not forced, something Ortiz has fallen victim to.
  14. I suspect the Reds will leapfrog the Brewers tonight and set their sights on the Cubs.
  15. That five run 9th inning comeback by AZ had all the makings of a morale-killer…exactly what started those multi-game skids back in the day.
