Orlando Arcia is now available. Maybe it’s time to make a move. Arcia hasn’t been hitting the ball well in Atlanta but it can’t be worse than what Ortiz is giving us.
In 2022, while in the White Sox minor league system, Meyers went 1–15 with a 7.82 ERA in 76 innings. He was second in the minors in losses that year. Unfortunately, I’m starting to think 2024 was a fluke.
This team lacks spark in 2025 and hasn’t been able to win a game in which they’ve been scored on first. I’m not going to sit through another brutal 8 to 1 loss.
I love that Durban is staying in his lane during these early days of his career. If he adds power to his approach, let it be a natural progression and not forced, something Ortiz has fallen victim to.
This year was supposed to be Hoskins’ big return from his knee injury. I was all in when he brought that Big D energy to the first series against the Mets making the crying face to Jeff McNeil. It was exactly what this team needed after CC left in the middle of the night. It all seemed perfect. And Hoskins expected to get a huge contract somewhere this upcoming off-season. But, as it turns out, he will now become a 1-year rental journeyman and will play for a dozen teams as his career slowly flames out.
Hoping we hear something soon on Sal Frelick’s hip injury. He’s not a big offensive threat but his hard-nosed play, young energy and quickness in the outfield are important to the Brewers leading into the playoffs.
