  1. I like call an ace with leasters, but I'll play pretty much any variation.
  2. Got messages from 2 different people indicating that Melvin's got something in the works. I'll work the "wire" today and see what I can come up with. Not sure on names yet....
  3. I'd go with Barksdale. And, if I were to have another cat, I'd go with Chairman Meow.
  4. Check out this forum when the draft is going on. We have official draft threads in which you'll see links to just about every piece of data we can find.
  5. Oh wait, by tomorrow, do you mean "monday"?
  6. I *should* be down with that. Wife's got an appt, so I should be have some leisure time for a while.
  7. There is "virtual cd" software you can use, where can emulate a CD from a folder on your computer (or a share from another computer). You could probably also copy from the CD to a cheap USB thumb drive and do it, depending on what you're trying to install.
  8. I used to play it online, but I couldn't STAND the elitists who didn't understand that sometimes you need to take a chance when it's obvious that the picker has a better hand. I'd _love_ to get together (live) with some BFnetters and play on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, whatever). We play at work every day over lunch, so I'm definitely not an embarrassment. Or, if we can't get enough people together for a live game, I'm fine with playing on Yahoo as well (I'm "phearinc"). (and I'm stickying this thread because Sheepshead is the 2nd best thing to oxygen).
  9. Bah, whatever. As Mr. Burns said "I'd trade it all... for a little bit more".
  10. By the way, Digg this story up here: http://digg.com/baseball/Interview_with_Widow_and_Cousin_of_Mike_Coolbaugh
  11. Jones will be a FA after the season if the Brewers don't add him. They'll have his rights until the time comes (during S/T) when they'll have to decide to keep him or send him to the minors. I believe he's out of options, so he'd have to be outrighted... and I think this might be his 2nd outright (like Brad Nelson), so he could elect FA.
  12. Link Got this in the inbox, and thought I would pass it on. Kid looks like a beast.
  13. Provus is still young, and will get better over time. But, yeah... can't say enough about JP. What he did for our site, and the professionalism he brought to the booth will always be special to me.
  14. While an .864 OPS is nothing to be ashamed of as an OFer, the brass probably thinks that a 26-year old in AAA hitting that well isn't all that uncommon. I think his age and his right-handedness are working against him a little bit. I think that if this were a team that wasn't contending, he'd get a shot over a guy like Cat. He's probably the type of guy that would be a throw-in (albeit not a bad one) for a mid-season deal.
  15. As much as having Russell back on the team is one of my heart's deepest desires, I don't see the team carrying Gamel and Branyan simultaneously. If Gamel goes down, then fine, but if he's up and chewing through service time, he needs to be chewing through at-bats.
  16. Ed Wade? Negative Presence? no way.
  17. Get lots of cats and dogs and a rabbit. Then, you'll never run out of cleaning to do.
  18. Bud Selig telling the owners to give certain dollar amounts to players is like me telling my beagle to order a pizza.
  19. I used to listen to the Battlestar Galactica podcast from producer Ron Moore. And yes, i AM a big dork.
  20. Chill out. Levitation is just a tribute to Albert's dad, who was a magician and used to levitate after a long day of work.
  21. http://images.yuku.com/image/png/5ae25204569c5d9c4c012ab51c86bcb7d7b8590.png OMG... HE'S DANCING LIKE HE JUST INVENTED DISCOVERED PENICILLIN... DISRESPECTFUL!
