  1. [ It's called venting frustrations! ] That's what the venting thread is for. If people want to spout off to let off some steam, they can rant until their heart's content over there. There's no way in hell I'm letting this site become a haven for ranting, raving lunatics with 30 threads about how every player should be traded/fired/waived/shot. There are other Brewers message boards for people who need to communicate that way.
  2. It's a terrorist plot against hillbillies. You get them all together, then nuke it from orbit.
  3. Here you go: sports.yahoo.com/mlb/play...pe=Batting
  4. Always know it'll be a fun game when we play White House... my favorite two games of the year. RC huh?... Time for the Automator to flash the leather. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  5. Locking this thread. Please do not bump threads in the Trading Post forum. That's an abuse of the privilege.
  6. [ Anyone defending Yost for leading off Counsell and Crappy are dillunsional and need treatment. The Royals don't even stick crap like that one and two. ] I would ask that you respect other peoples' opinions on this site, even if you vehemently disagree with them.
  7. Every year at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival, one of the local meat markets serve strawberry brats. It sounds weird, but it tastes really, really good. I'd highly recommend them, and the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival in general. Good family fun.
  8. [ Do you get service days for being on the 40? I didn't think so. If not, it's strictly a vanity move for Dillon. ] I'm pretty sure that a player only accumulates service time if he's on the 25-man roster or the MLB DL.
  9. This would seem like a very bad idea for the Rangers. Maroth isn't a horrible pitcher, but he's a free agent after '08. Texas is in position to receive a lot more for a healthy Gagne than that.
  10. [ "Something in the farm system" doesn't seem like having any idea what to ask for. ] He didn't. He was hoping someone else would jump in and complete the idea.
  11. [ I was planning on using my staff status to try and pick up chicks. ] "No baby, I'm a _director_"
  12. [ The Brewers have taken one of their two available 40-man roster spots and assigned it to the super utility man Dillon; he was then optioned to Nashville. ] What's the purpose of adding someone to the 40-man if he's not being called up, and we're not risking losing him in the Rule 5?
  13. Just use the Brewerfan.net hand symbol: http://www.slsheriff.org/images/gang_project/hs-qvo.jpg I've actually gone up to ask people if they've heard of Brewerfan.net. I've got about a 10% success rate.
  14. [ Everone is saying why not to fire Yost ("everyone is unfairly blaming Yost&quothttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif , but I want to hear a suggestion of why he SHOULD be manager. ] His stuff's already in the manager's office. Sounds like a big hassle... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. [ If you're not absolutely EMBARASSED by seeing our boys go out there and come up 100% empty, accomplishing a very rare feet of complete sucktititude, seeing the Tigers celebrate on the field like it's the playoffs, allowing a spectacle that warrants family members out on the field, knowing tons of national coverage will be pointing out the Brewers crapulence, and (especially) dreading the barage of emails and phone calls you're going to have to deflect from friends and fellow baseball fans around the country .... then you and I simply watch baseball with our hearts in different places. ] I think you're overstating it a bit. Sure, the Brewers are the laughing stock of the majors for the next 24 hours, but after that, no one's going to remember who Verlander no-hit, other than Tigers fans. Yeah, it's embarassing, but if they win 2 out of 3 from Detroit, I'll take the no-hitter in stride. In fact, if the Brewers won each series from here on out with a no-hitter in each one, I'd be thrilled. It's a complete and utter emotional low... but after that subsides, it's 1 of 162.
  16. I feel like we got to watch you grow up before our very eyes. Congrats! And onward, to college!
  17. [ Tell me you put that there Brian and you werent hacked. ] http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. Our forum background will remain black until the brewers get a hit.
  19. [ Smart and funny is there anything you can't do? ] Play softball adequately.
  20. [ I'm done following the major league club for the rest of the week. ] That's cool, but you can still watch the Brewers. *rimshot*
  21. In fairness, Verlander was FREAKING AMAZING. Could we trade Mench for him?
