  2. Here's an article from MLB.com about "scout school": www.mlb.com/news/article....&c_id=null
  3. [ f is for folding-money or frosting-cake. What could you possibly think I meant. ] Anyways, we kindly ask that you refrain from abbreviating either folding-money or frosting-cake again.
  4. [ Another reason is Estrada hitting 5th. It has bothered me for weeks and no one can give me rationale reason why Ned sticks him in the 5 hole every f---ing night. This would be in violation of our rules. Using alternate spellings to get around the cuss filter isn't allowed.
  5. Yeah, why don't you go ahead and bring beer (and any non-diet soda you need, if you're a non-diet soda drinker).
  6. Kenny, the wife's planning on making dinner/snack-type items for the game, so let me know if you already have plans to eat before you come.
  7. I haven't had much success with the JL421's.
  8. bball: go ahead and invite your brother. I think I can get us up to five.
  9. Did the ad have an image associated with it?... if so, I believe I can turn off image ads.
  10. I'd rather do 3 than 4, so let me know if you're brother's interested.
  11. I could probably round someone up for 3-handed. You still want in, or do you want to postpone?
  12. Is it one of the ads at the bottom of the forum?
  13. Which ads are playing music??... I will eliminate them.
  14. [ isn't that close to brian? Me? No, I'm in Waukesha, which is about 20 minutes away from there. However, my workplace is only a couple of blocks from there.
  15. Glad to have you aboard!
  16. I'd like to announce two new additions to our staff. I'm naming Hawing as our Chat Room Director and Brewers19 as our Fan Forum director. I feel that these two individuals have the temperament is takes to do these jobs effectively, and more effectively than myself. Let me also take this opportunity to say that as we ramp up some of our new endeavors (new Brewerfan.net site, LambeauLeap.net, new forum software), you're going to be seeing me less and less on the site until they are complete. Right now I have too many irons in the fire, and I really need to delegate out responsibility so that things don't go neglected. So please, welcome Laura and Ethan into their new positions, and direct questions regarding the chat room and fan forum to their new respective authorities. Thanks!
  17. Let's give this a try. If you're interested in playing at my place in Waukesha, let me know. If you're interested in hosting a table, let me know that as well. If we overflow one, we can move onto someone else's place... or if we don't have enough, we can consolidate. Waukesha (Brian the Mauer) Call an Ace, Leasters 1) Brian the Automator 2) bball123h 3) mkealz 4) 5)
  18. I'm pretty sure it was Robocop.
  19. It would be interesting to do a study on the size/OPS relationship.
  20. [ Homer is The Belling of sports radio, he always needs to be right and other people opinions do not matter. ] I've been falling in love with Homer recently, at least as far as his baseball opinions go. Listening call-in's get their asses handed to them regarding splits is worth it.
  21. [ We are soldiers in the army we have to fight, although we have to die. We have to put on the blood-stained banner, we have to hold it until we die. We are soldiers in the army we have to fight, although we have to cry. We have to hold up the blood-stained banner, we have to hold it until we die. ] This guy sounds like some of the martyred brewerfan posters.
  22. [ If you strikeout....you don't get on base. Hitting .243. I don't know about you, but I expect way more from a leadoff hitter. Maybe I'm expecting too much??? ] OBP is far more important to leading off than BA. Or are you do we need to beat this dead horse into the ground. Just because a guy K's instead of grounding out doesn't mean he was going to get on bas instead of K'ing. Give me the guy with the .360 OBP leading off with every K being a strikeout than the guy batting .280 with the .300 OBP. You'll win more.
