Perkins was 3/5 with a HR yesterday. His defense is always outstanding. I don’t think it’s obvious he’s the fifth best. Chourio might have more potential but he has poor plate discipline and is raw in the outfield.

Who would have predicted that the Brewers would be in first place, 13 games above .500, on June 18? And the Cubs are in last place, 8.5 games out? Thank you Craig.

It seems like the crew is reverting to the Craig Counsell offense. I liked when the Brewers were were putting balls in play instead of swinging for the fences.

I love this years Brewers. Putting the ball in play is much more exciting than having popouts, ground outs, strikeouts and an occasional home run.

Impressive analysis. I enjoy baseball but don’t get into the nuts and bolts like you do. Interesting to read though.

I liked Andruw Monasterio at third. I don’t like called third strikes.
