  1. I think what will determine what they do with Williams will come down to where they believe Craig Yoho and Jacob Misiorowski fit into the picture next spring. Abner is in that conversation again as well if he comes back healthy in mind and body. Plus Trevor showed he was more than up for the task however I'd love it if he added one more pitch. Yoho looked to be almost unhittable no matter where he pitched. To me he looked like the next bigtime Closer for the Crew. He may be ready for the job from day one next season. He was sure impressive through 3 spots in 2024. Mis looks like he needs more time in the Farms but his late season move to the Pen looked pretty natural. The idea of him starting in the Bigs is probably lost given his affinity to walk to many. If he looks dialed in he could be an option as a Closer. Abner Uribe is also still on this baseball team believe it of not. His 2024 went about as bad as anyone could conceive so a rebounding 2025 will hopefully put his career back on track . Trevor Megill is fantastic and showed he can be a dandy closer when he shut everyone down while Williams was out. However if he could add a sweeper to his arsenal he could be the best Closer in baseball and he already has the arm motion down with his big Curve. I would love to see him figure out that grip on the ball. Time will tell if he ever tries it out. Saying goodbye to Devin Williams is probably going to happen. Like Burns he is worth to much to let slide. Pulling Joey Ortiz and Hall seems like we robbed the Orange Birds. Especially when you think Burke also came with the deal . Williams should hypothetically bring more than Burns brought and even if it sounds like a bad deal in the offseason by the All Star Break many will sure like the players Williams bought us. As far as Williams however he will not be defined by this playoff loss. What Brewers fans should feel about his time here is GRATITUDE. The man is one of the best I have ever watched and it was one hell of a ride for him since taking the job from Hader. I will remember him fondly and wish him well wherever he ends up. As long as that is NOT the Phillies Dodgers or Yankees that is.
  2. He got figured out . Tipped his pitches and they caught it on video from the previous night. Williams with a full offseason behind him is still exceptional and we got to see him pitch for years and that was what I can only describe as a privilege. It sucks that he started tipping his pitches this last season and sometimes teams picked up on it and it really cost us in the crunch. When you miss that much time there are always ticks to work out and he simply did not get enough season to fine tune his stuff for the 2024 affair. Choker is a bit much given his record in many pressure Saves. Williams is a great player and closing was rough across the board in the 2024 season with great closers blowing games they normally wouldn't everywhere. To be angry at Devin is natural but to smear him is not. Devin is the Airbender and when his stuff is on it is some of the greatest in baseball. I feel nothing but appreciative for what Devin has given to this Crew. I think you should take a step back and try to see past the hurt. I hope you can find some perspective on the 2024 season . It was one hell of a ride that should not feel like the same old Brewers . This was year 1 of a young teams journey. The team will still be here in 2025 and beyond . This group will win it . It is just a matter of when! There is greatness in this group of young men. They just haven't figure out how great they will be just yet. Don't be down my friend. This team has Jackson Chourio and they idea of what he will become in the very near future cure any hurt from playoff losses . All that being said I do agree with a trade. This is still OUR Crew !
  3. Forgot Robert Gasser and this team DfA Parades and the Cubs picked him up . This team under new management in retrospect was exceptional and is not "The same old Brewers". This team is built on youth development and we saw young players developing from Sal to Garrett Mitchell the team got some young talent out there in 2024. While loosing against the Mets was not great by any means it was a slight improvement on anything in previous season. To me Year 1 was a massive success even if it does not feel that way. No need to hang your head Brewers fans . This was not a complete collapse or bad management that lost this series as it was in Craig's world . No this time Williams tipped the Mets batters off the night before and carried that over to the next night. Thus blowing the game. I personally can live with that way more than any of the previous seasons under Craig who was TERRIBLE at managing playoff series. Williams failed to see the same flaw that cost the Brewers that St. Louis series. As for 2025 . The Brewers should be better. They have a next great closer all ready for the Show and making it able to trade Williams. Yoho in 57 innings struck out over 100 and looked like the next big deal Closer who can shut down big league bats in the crunch if they trade Williams that is . Abner is a bullpen arm but I just do not see him ever being a closer now . His opportunity proved much to big for him in 2024 and he blew it on every level imaginable. He has the arm to be a bigtime thrower but he will have to prove it now with little rope left. The man will be facing his most important season in baseball in 2025 and it will at least be interesting to see where it goes. Robert Gasser will be back . Will be be ready by spring ? Doubt it but he still has a place somewhere in the 2025 story if even at the AAA level again we must see if he is fixed. He sure looked to have a lot to offer the starting lineup if his arm holds out. I was left wanting to see more. Aaron Ashby seems like a mystery to me. You read about someone saying that 2024 was a terrible affair when in truth Aaron Ashby was by far the best bullpen player in September for the Brewers and finished the season with a 2.86 ERA . He played brilliantly through his time in the Pen for the Brewers. His off speed stuff was the stuff of legend and yet you would think he flopped again in 2024 if you read what was just written her and many other places . Ashby looked reborn to me and showed he can be a weapon out of the Bullpen. His future looked solid and a LOCK to be on the roster day one in 2025. How anyone could have seen Ashby negatively in 2024 is bias carried over from previous seasons. Ashby was a STUD in the push to win the Division and with Hudson being moved down to AAA it was the exact moment he was needed most that he shined. Ashby was a huge success in 2024 . Now you can replace a Craig Counsel with a Pat Murphy and the team can improve but I highly doubt they replace Willy Adames so easily. While we all were constantly frustrated by Willy and his lack of consistency at times the man was absolutely the leader of the team all season long and more so when Yelich went down. Chourio would not be the player he is nor would Contreras. Willy is an important voice of the Brewers and replacing him is more than just replacing his 30+ homers and 100+ RBI . He will be missed in many ways internally that are simply irreplaceable. However he is not a 20 million dollar player especially with the Brewers loaded with Farm ball Shortstops with skill and batting talent to boot. The Brewers will survive without him . However the magic the 2024 group had could go out the door with him . Plus the Cubs would make a lot of sense for him to go to and that has suck written all over it. 2024 was one of the finest Brewers seasons in a long time. I did not miss one game in 2024 and was glad to have been a part of every moment this team played this year. I am not upset we lost as I have been in the past . What I saw in 2024 was a glimpse of the future and for this team the future is as bright as the sun . Yoho is SPECIAL and about to take the 2025 season by storm for the Crew. The young star of 2024 will be one more year older and that much better at baseball. However there is one name that stands out beyond all as a beacon of what is coming for this Brewers franchise in coming seasons. JACKSON CHOURIO. What we saw in 2024 was the birth of a legend. Every year from now until he ages beyond the contract he penned for this franchise Chourio is going to improve. The kid will become a man with this franchise and actually probably did so this previous season. I highly expect his number to jump . Even double in 2025 . I see Chourio as a 50 home run hitter someday in the near future. It is going to be FUN to watch! Don't forget Yelich may come back a changed man. This surgery is a godsend . I looked into the actual procedure he had and it looks almost fail proof and may even provide him with more quick rotation in his trunk. Most important it should keep his back from going out and costing him so much time in the coming years. Hopefully this is the moment Yelich took his career back . We saw that in 2024 Yelich can be the best ball player in baseball again. This back surgery was long overdue and hopefully allows this team to get the most out of the investment they made in Yelich and Yelich can be terrific for the rest of his years in baseball. We also found out he makes one heck of a color commentator in the TV booth. The 2025 Brewers seem so far away now after a season that intense. It was one hell of a ride friends and I LOVED each and every minute of the 2024 Pat Murphy Brewers. This team is just getting started. Do not let yourselves be fooled . This team is going to win a Pennant with this group of guys. That is what this entire investment is all about . Letting the talent develop and winning with homegrown Superstars. This team is well worth hanging onto as a fan. GO Brewers and thank you for making 2024 an amazing ride !
  4. With a young team this Crew needs leaders like Hoskins. He will have a better 2025 than 2024 . He is never going to bat .300 but he should do better than what he did this year.
  5. Sorry Garrett Mitchell sure looked like a guy who could put up a great season out there. And I am not taking Blake Perkins down . The guy got us big hits all 2024 and with more playing time his batting average would climb . Chourio is so good he counts for 2 outfielders as a batter. The guy is the next great baseball star . I hate how negative people see this team and its players. Sal Frelick put his guts on the field and produced time and time again and still gets no respect. His best baseball is just around the corner as well . He has more power than you saw in 2024 . We saw that in game 3. This is a GOOD baseball team with one of the best outfields in baseball . Perkins and Sal are both solid players who can get hot and win games. Garrett Mitchell showed everyone that the scouts were right about how well he can contact the ball at any given time and he was just starting to peak at the end of the season. If he stays on the field he is a .300 batter with loads of power and speed. This outfield should be terrifying as it was to most of the NL through 2024 . They are all fast and can hit and at very least will run your pitcher out every time they take an at bat.
  6. Ashby will probably not go anywhere given his ability to dominate innings from the pen so far as well as the fact he is a different look than the rest of the Pen. Parades and Ashby have a similar change of pace style that no one else has in the pen. So their value in playoff action could be greatly important in matchups of meaning. I just do not know if Paredes did enough to get put onto a playoff roster despite him being fantastic in his action when up. If he had been able to stay in the rotation through this period I would be more onboard but he was not there for most of it so I assume his 2024 is done . It could be a misguided take but I am happy with either way. Forget the "cruel" conversation . This is a WONDERFUL problem to have moving into Fall Baseball. The Brewers have so many great pitching options that they might have to thin things out . I can think of worse issues to dwell on. GO CREW.
  7. I believe he was speaking about the 3rd time through not him as a relief pitcher. Since he is not a starter anymore his 3rd time around argument is lost on me and anyone else for that matter. Wilson is not going anywhere. No matter how much the Talking Heads like Ashby .
  8. Better than Griffey JR across the board stats . T
  9. In 1989 EVERYONE who watched baseball knew they were seeing the next great player come to the Show. Yet even Ken Griffey Jr did not win the Rookie of the Year award that season despite EVERYONE knowing at that time he was the best thing to come to baseball in decades. The same seems to be true for our young Star Jackson Chourio who seems destine to loose the award to a young Star Pitcher(Skenes) in the same way as Griffey Jr did with Gregg Olsen winning the award in 89' and much like 1989 no one can deny that Chourio like Griffey Jr IS the future of the game. So I will compare stats to make my point and get back to the live action of the current Cards series. Ken Griffey Jr. 1989. Games, 127 ,AB 455, Runs 61, Hits 120, TB 191, Doubles 23, Triples 0 , RBI 61 , HR 16 , BB 44, IBB 8, K's 83, Stolen Bases 16, Av .264, OPB .329 SLG 420, OPS .749. Jackson Chourio 2024. Games (as of mid game 1 of the Cards final series) 124, AB 437, Runs 68, Hits 121, TB 201, Doubles 22, Triples 2, RBI 67, HR 18(with 2 G Slams!), BB 63, IBB(Jackson just hit a GRAND SLAM as I wrote this ! So the stats get better and I had to edit EVERYTHING SO BE IT !!) IBB 1, K's 94 ,Stolen Bases 20, Average .278 OPB. .329, SLG 462 OPS .791. In 1989 no one was under any delusions that Gregg Olson was actually the most valued player of that AL rookie Class despite an historic rookie relief season that won him the award. In 2024 will the delusion of Skenes value put Chourio on the outside looking in for the same award? In my mind Brewers fans know which player held more value to his team through 2024. The Crew look like this is THE year and Skenes is about to finish a season at the bottom of the NL dumpster as a team so value of position and production tips to Chourio and Skenes is just a great pitching story in the end. Time will tell but Jackson Chourio is MY Rookie of the Year and his impact on the Brewers will carry this team for most of the next decade or more . No rookie is more valuable than Jackson Chourio to their team in 2024 ( I know about Jackson Merrill and think he is just as good but it does not fit the story if I include him.) In my book Jackson Chourio is the best player to come into the MLB SINCE Griffey Jr and the stats sus that out as well . BELIEVE IN THIS CREW 2024!
  10. There are 2 paragraphs in the story . 2 topics Blake and Sal and believing in the Brewers . But hey you are a perfect Cubs fan.
  11. WAR is the stupidest stat line one can use to examine a players usefulness and I condend it was a stat invented by ****** who do not watch baseball yet still want to sound smart . Sal has put the Brewers in the lead with a hit ....(WILLY JUST HIT 13 RECORD TYING 3 run HOMERS AS WE SPEAK !) .. I lost my train of thought. Anyways if you want to hate players of the level of Sal and Blake you should be a Cubs fan. Sal is a player this team cannot afford to loose. Blake was out 10 games and this team struggled without him. You can use your paper stats to define these players but it like the Brewers as a whole does not tell the story of the 2024 group and it sure as hell leaves out the actual success that Blake and Sal bring with them as players. The Brewers have two young STUDS in those players and it is time people like yourself started watching the games instead of just watching stat lines to define a player. Sal and Blake are like most of the 2024 roster for the Brewers . They BOTH irreplaceable pieces of the team that is about to win this whole damn thing that I would not trade right now for anyone in baseball. BET . The construction of the 2024 Brewers is a mix that will bring us and ending for the ages . Blakes .301 Average against Lefties is currently the best in baseball in 2024 for all switch hitters. He is hitting .442 against Lefties since July 1st and .395 as a whole over the past 40 days . He also has 10 outs above average as of today. If you have a problem with those numbers you should have your head examined. So maybe WAR is not the most important metric to prove a point as the most objective stat line ever created that has almost 0 to do with reality and only is there to put shade on players like Sal and Blake and make the News Paper Reader seem connected to the game. You can have your WAR stats . I would not trade either player for anyone currently because it takes players like Sal and Blake to win a championship and that is what this Crew is about to do.
  12. Cooper Pratt is the answer if Willy is not resigned. That is also the best thing about the future for this franchise. It is LOADED with guys who can play infield and out. Absolutely not necessary to shop to replace Adames outside of the Farms. They have the next star Short Stop on the roster and we have yet to actually see him yet. Cooper Pratt is why Willy won't be resigned more than his cost value. I think Oliver Dunn also has a bright future . As far as Black and Mona I was a huge Tyler Black fan but each time he has been given a shot in the Bigs this year he has progressively gotten worse. They have put a lot into Black to develop his defense but the truth is his time may never come at this point. As far as Mona the guy is a backup who can play all positions beside Catcher and Pitcher. May not be the star of the rest of the team but Pat loves him and you need guys like Mon to get through a long season. He is just a roster guy but one the team LOVES and that is all you need from a backup . Officially this will be the last time I speak of 2025 until the 2024 season is over. This ...THIS is OUR year! The focus MUST be put on the 2024 season by all involved because we can really win this thing ! Even without Yelich this is the best team in the NL and all of Baseball when it comes to how it is set up and what they can do in a fall ball setup . I will worry about the 2025 SS issue in 2025 . Until then LETS GO CREW !
  13. Because you are a high school teacher grading papers? you have fun cheering for them Cubbies !
  14. I think Pat is without a doubt the odds on favorite to win the award. I love the upgrade from the Cubs manager who is where he belongs. Those Cubbies have sure found their bats these days though. If they had not Craig might have been looking for work at the end of the 24' Show. I think this push the Cubs are on will save his job though it will do nothing else. Pat is the best thing to happen in Milwaukee since 1982.
  15. This summer I have like many Brewers fans been glued to the action and LOVING it as any fan of this team should. However now facing a real possibility of a 1st place finish in the NL and a actual shot at winning all of it I keep hearing the same chirpings I have listened to my entire life as a Wisconsin sports fan and it is time this negativity STOPS in Milwaukee because it is the bad attitude of fans that is the last major hurdle to climb before this team wins it all. There is no sports fanbase more skeptical than the Brewers fan and it all ways it is an earned opinion no one could ever disparage as this team has won nothing real at any point since 1982. Now however with an actual contender in place it is this is a mindset that must dissolve if this team ever hopes to win anything real. As fans of a team who have never won much worth winning it is hard to convert our collective mindset to a winners mindset but this is what must happen if the Brewers and the fans ever wish to be champions of American Baseball . No team can win with a fanbase who does not believe in the team they follow. If you believe this team is doomed to failure it will be as has been the case for all time so far. Somehow that is how sports works and it have always worked and even if it sounds impossible it seems to track and it really has something to do with being a winning franchise through history. The faith in the team fans follow does matter and it is time we had faith. A team is only as good as the fans who cheer for them. If they are considered losers no matter what they do they will always loose. So it is up to us as fans to help take this team the rest of the way! Even if we are ultimately disappointed and we get hurt by that outcome it is better to believe and fail than be a sceptic and fail. A full buy in is required to bring the extra push a team needs to win fall baseball and it that lack of faith that has kept us from winning in the playoffs forever. So as a fan of the 2024 Brewers who truly believes this is the year that WE can win a Pennant and World Series I am asking the rest of Brewers to BUY IN! Buy in so we can feel what it is like to be part of American baseball for the first time in all of our lives. This team has enough to win all of it and this is most likely the best Brewers team in our lifetime with the best shot at the Show's greatest prize than it has ever had in its history. So given that . We need to be there for this team when it matters most(which is RIGHT NOW) in the coming weeks through the end of this season and beyond. If we buy in the prize is OURS and this team will be remembered as one of the greatest Wisconsin sports teams of all time when the smoke clears. So get out there and believe in this team and help us take this thing to the highest highs! You will never regret it! In my opinion buying in starts by recognizing those players who got us here and in my mind two of the most important players on this Brewers roster right now at Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick who are almost constantly disrespected by this fanbase yet who are two major pieces who carry this team though more often than not. Between the fanbase and those who cover Brewers baseball for a living I hear almost 0 good reporting on either player despite them playing lights out through the entire 2024 season and in previous season for that matter. To all of you who love to bash Blake and Sal it is time we stop downplaying greatness because both of these players are GREAT and need respect attached to their names. Sal and Blake have had career seasons in 2024 and by all accounts are ascending players who have not yet even touched the quality of player they will become as Brewers. It time we stop demonizing these men who have come through time and time again for this fanbase and franchise and give them the respect they have earned as Stars of this league . Sal is batting .268(as of Aug 31) and Blake is batting .264O(same) respectively as of the 31st of August and look like they are going to carry a very hot bat and their exceptional defense into the playoffs and help this team win the biggest games of this franchises existence in the coming weeks. So in my opinion it is time we stopped treating in the way fans speak of them constantly and realize that the Brewers have 2 of the very best outfielders in the game today on this roster and there is no need to correct either player as they are glue guys who make this Brewers team go as much as anyone on the roster today. I have been in conversations online this season frequently with Brewers fans and so many times I hear these fans bash Sal and Blake and make them sound as if they have no place playing in the Bigs. Why they believe that is still a mystery to me as most of them have no answers when you present the stats these men put out and love to downplay just how effective these players are in truth and I simply will never understand it. In the past 7 games Sal has won games for this team with his clutch bat and defense and he is hitting .346 in his last 7 games and has several weeks of this season where he is the hottest batter on the team . Blake over the past 30 games has a .395 batting average and is one of most versatile batters on the roster as a switch hitter who blasts pitching of both varieties and yet is considered by many who follow this team as a replacement piece. However in my estimation and by comparisons Blake is the BEST Center in all of Baseball and I do not need him to hit 40 home runs to prove it. His defense in the outfield is truly second to none. Not only on the Brewers roster but all of the MLB and anyone who sees him play would have to agree. So next time you evaluate this team and its less celebrated Stars remember this Brewers team is LUCKY that it has players who hold it together while the streakier Star Bats of this team are between hitting outburst Sal and Blake are always going to be there getting on base and keeping hits from happening on a regular basis until they get hot again. Sal and Blake are some of the very best of the best players in the league in the outfield and they are also great hitters who seem to get hits even when the rest of the players on this team do not which leads to more wins for the Crew and that is really all that matters! WINNING and Blake and Sal help us win as much as Adames and Contreras do they just do it in a different way . Great hitters do not have to hit homers to be great hitters(someday they will BOTH hit more HRS) as long as they play gold glove level defense and that push scores in with a constant bat and put themselves on base when runs are needed most and Blake and Sal do that in Spades. Champions are teams with the right mix of talent and the 2024 Brewers have that mix because of players like Blake and Sal and it would be nice if the fans saw that truth. The story of the 2024 Brewers is a mixed bag of skillsets and abilities from top to bottom. There are lots of players contributing at a high level to put this team in the position is in right now and is giving this team its best chance at winning a World Series since its induction. I know that at the very top of that list are Blake Perkins and Sal Frelick and it is time all fans not only "buy in" on them as legitimate Stars in their own rights but BELIEVE in this team as a whole so we can win things we only ever dreamed of! GO CREW !
  16. Tobias Myers came back from his last down to AAA and immediate back up and turned it up to 11. The guy is by far the finest pitcher I have gotten the joy to watch this season. I think he is learning and his Velo is hitting 95 pretty regular these days . His rising fastball is as good as you can throw it when he is on things and he is in all ways pitcher of the month . Reliever however is completely WRONG . AND I LOVE Hudson! So do not get me wrong. You could not really be called wrong (Though I am doing it) for picking him as his 2024 has been as good as anyone's in baseball. HOWEVER.. Jarod Koenig is one of the most incredible pitchers in the league in all of baseball in 2024. The hole in the rotation left since his arm resting period has been noticeable without him as Joel Payamps seems to be getting much more work than he should in Koenig's absence and the Brewers are losing games they would have won with a better pitcher in those situations. While Hudson is getting all the attention with his spectacular rookie year with the Crew, Jarod Koenig is truly the best reliever in baseball in 2024 and the Relief Pitcher of the Month. Second to no one including Brian Hudson. Brian Hudson in his last 15 starts has an ERA of 1.67 with 24 K's in 22 innings pitched . Koenig in his last 15 starts has an ERA of 0.52 and has 24 K's as well in only 17 innings pitched. Jarod Koenig is well overlooked in the Media and even by the Brewers own hype machine. He belongs in the All Star Relief conversations as much as Brian Hudson and together they gave this Brewers team the ammunition to take 1st place into the All Star Break. His 98 MHP heat combined with sweepers that equal Hudson with impressive movement and placement make him the more dangerous reliever that batters will face against this Crew. Koenig is not only the Relief pitcher of the month he has been the most critical reliever in the entire Brewers Pen and the way we know this is by seeing how many times he has put away other pitchers garbage. Inherited runners that have not scored because Koenig took the mound and shut it all down is the most impressive thing with Koenig making him the true high pressure Pitcher for this franchise even if Hudson gets all the credit for the job. Wherever either of them came from the Brewers had no way of actually expecting this kind of Bull Pen success from these two young relievers. No one could have. However they now give this team ACE level relief that can shut down even the hottest teams .
  17. I get the Canada connection but if there is something I have learned about Canadians living in the USA is the last thing most of the ever want to do is go back to Canada. Tyler Black has so much invested into him now that trading him right before his bell is tolled seems like a huge waste of resources. Not to mention Hoskins will probably opt out next year and Jake Bauer could be gone as soon as the trade deadline but is gone no later than the end of 2024. So Black's current lack of fitting in is not permanent and the guy is really really good even though we have only gotten a small sample size. The Brewers do not have a great 1st base in Nashville beyond Black currently so it would be right back to the drawing board in development if they just traded off Black now. Garrett Mitchell to me seems like the hype guy they are going to get looking good right before the trade deadline. They have one of the best outfields in baseball without him and the White Sox said openly they want guys who are almost ready for the spotlight and Mitchell would fit that OF need they are so desperate to fill and leave the Brewers with more than enough with the current state of the outfield to carry the 2024 season and even well into the future. If it takes Garrett Mitchell and some AAA, AA and A players in a package to acquire Garrett Crochet then so be it. All the other trade prospects do not give this team more than it could acquire from a healthy DL Hall who has so much more to offer the Brewers than he has shown so far. Just watch his Baltimore stuff from last season . The guy can rock it out at 98mph and if healthy can instantly give the Brewers a strong 2nd half.. For me there is only 1 starting pitcher being shopped around the MLB before the trade deadline. That is Crochet and the Brewers have more than enough to make this thing really happen but to out do the Dodgers and Padres it is going to take a player like Mitchell to sweeten the pot enough to pull things this direction. Even Tyler Black would be someone I would move in a deal for Crochet . Crochet is the only pitcher worth trading for. The rest are just in the way by next season with Woodruff and Gasser bound to be in the starting group along with Freddy and perhaps even Myers . So unless it is a guy with the impact Crochet brings the current plan with Hall and not trading anyone would be the best course of action in my mind. Stay the course if you cannot get someone truly impactful . Crochet would be truly impactful .
  18. Blalock is to close to a stud to do that. Blalock has good stuff . I really do not want to lose that guy. Yoho and the others in that Biloxi group are the real future of the Brewers as Nashville seems laced with place holders currently . Hall has yet to show us who he can be yet but that guy really has stuff if he can get his body right. 98 MPH all that so maybe some of those guy can be expendable.
  19. I think they do not have enough to trade for Tyler Black in Toronto and who will be important moving forward to the level of Black. Tyler has not been given enough AB in MLB action to get in any kind of grove. He should not be dealt before you actually get to see the investment pay out . Tyler Black has over 1000 AB in AAA. That is a lot of development to just throw out the window because you happen to have 2 players currently playing 1st base who are both 1 and done players should not mean you are willing to trade off Black . I would move Garrett Mitchell before i move Black really . A
  20. destructive trades are not the way to take a 1st place team. You do not trade away Yelich period. Not unless the amount in return is so massive and instantly replaces his .320 bat the damage would be impossible to overcome and would sabotage the entire season. Trade Mitchell though. He sounds like just the guy the White Sox say they need to get to come off Crochet. Crochet would put this team in a bid for big wins later.
  21. I think he would be wasted at 1st given his speed and range that make him a perfect outfielder but the same could be said for Black really. I do not hate your lineup. I think build up hype for Mitchell and use him to get a pitcher in a package for Crochet. The outfield is set up fine and one of the best groups in baseball as it stands and they are all very young and will continue to get better if left alone. Mitchell is the exact type of player the White Sox said they wanted for Crochet and the Brewers current outfield is pretty good as it stands with a high end future without Garrett Mitchell and the pitching help Crochet would bring to this starting rotation would be worth the loss. If he can temp the White Sox into trading Crochet our way and give us a trophy piece at pitching that is the best possible direction for G M and the Brewers, , I think Sal probably can do things infield but also believer Oliver Dunn is pretty good and will become a solid 3rd base with a season more development as hitter.
  22. Sal is batting .267 and is one of the heart players on this roster. I highly doubt Sal ever sees AAA again. Frelick is not a trade piece he is one of the players who this organization has put a lot of effort and time into and will not be going anywhere. The guy gets on base all the time when he is most needed. Garrett Mitchell can come back and be part of the rotation in the outfield and it would not take sending one of our best players away. He is in no way blocked and no one is playing everyday in the outfield and we play matchups against pitching so rotating Yelich into a DH heavy roll would probably also be a smart move that would not take away anything from the roster. Trading Sal would be really stupid . I would trade Mitchell before I would walk away from Sal.
  23. I have enjoyed Myers all season long and saw him as just as good as Gasser was when they were playing at the same time. Gasser was the one with the hype but Myers looked about the same to my eyes and I have enjoyed every single start he played for the 2024 Brewers and even in his White Socks action that got him sent to AAA I did not see a good reason to send him to AAA Nashville. That White Sox game birthed a completely different guy and I can say right now the best pitcher on the Brewers over the past 3 rotations is Myers and the numbers really show that. Before his rebirth Myers and Gasser were pitching timid and did not trust their fastballs yet. Myers having his first MLB fastball drilled for a home run really stuck in his mind and he was not able to control his pitching opportunities because he felt his best pitch was not good enough. His last send to AAA will be his last from what I can see. The guy came back from AAA this time with a completely different mindset . He did not come this time worrying about what might happen if he failed. He came back knowing he was going to throw his entire life into his pitching and worry about what happens down the road later . He stopped being afraid of AAA. Myers told himself if he was ever going to get another shot at a Big League mound he would not be holding back and has let his talent lead him now for three games. When you see a young player take that mental step you rarely see them wither from that point on. Myers has learned that his pitching plays well when he throws his stuff with confidence. Myers realized he does have what it takes to be as good of a pitcher as the Brewers need and one who can not only hold a rotation spot but be a star in that rotation. Watching it happen with Myers is the grandest of surprises as Gasser was the one who was expected to become that guy and not Myers. T I think Gasser and his weak and puny UCL underdevelopment in the end became a Godsend to the Brewers . Gasser would have closed the window to Myers coming back to the Bigs had he not been injured. Gasser is every bit as good of a pitcher we thought he would be and was about to take the same steps Myers has taken to become a top MLB pitcher. So Myers got to have one last shot at the Bigs at Gasser's expense and it could give the Brewers a young upper tier talent who can help this team win for years. Myers is legit and is never going back to AAA.
