  1. The biggest difference between last year and this year: Last year we could actually get out #3 each inning. Good grief
  2. My thoughts exactly. Also along the lines of silver lining: thank the Lord we've gone through this stretch pre-trade deadline and not after we made a stupid trade to attempt to improve this team
  3. With pitching this bad, and nothing on the horizon, realistically how much hope is there for next year? You hope we can sell off players like Looper, Hoffman, Counsell, Kendall, Lopez?, and Cameron and hope it helps to add pieces for next year.
  4. That right there is exactly my thoughts. They're still just livid over Brauny "undressing around the basepaths". Anyone with a brain knows that's what the Brewers do; they untuck their shirts. Couple that with an astronomically huge grand slam, and you've got a celebratory Braun untucking his shirt frantically. Get over it.
  5. "To wait two or three months... I don't understand that." Are you kidding?! Wasn't this all started because Braun got nailed after his "undressing" after his walk-off LAST SEASON? They can hold a grudge over an entire off-season, but we can't hold one during a season?
  6. I would love to see a video if someone would be so kind to upload it. And I agree, that's a perfect HBP from Smith. Karstens should really take notes.
  7. I've been preaching on DiFelice's side for a while now. He can't be worse than some of our current options... Last year he had a 3.22 ERA in AAA as a starter.
  8. Yeah this crew really has struggled today. Hopefully the next two games are better...
  9. This really stinks. You know we're going to finish our half of the 5th and then the rain is going to start coming and it'll be game over. This is shady as heck
  10. John Jaha? Probably Matt Wise too
  11. http://www.fangraphs.com/tgraphs/20090615_Brewers_Indians_0.pnghttp://www.fangraphs.com/tgraphs/20090616_Brewers_Indians_0.pnghttp://www.fangraphs.com/lgraphs/290617105_Brewers_Indians_131515583_lbig.png Now I love the series outcome, don't get me wrong; but I think if we never had a series like this again my heart would be one happy organ.... or at least less-pissed.
  12. Man, I'd be going insane if I were an Indian fan right now. Lewis was so obviously gassed and ineffective it wasn't even funny. That's just leaving your pitcher out to dry.
  13. Hall make some phenomenal plays out in the field; but he's also good for a few bone-headed plays every once in a while. I'm not ready to say he's "great" in the field. He's a slightly above-average fielder with a knack for the spectacular.
  14. Pleeeasseeee Bill, just do what you did last AB Edit: Atta boy Billy
  15. Man; after the corked bat and now steroid positive test, I don't think Sosa should get in the hall of fame. And he's a Cub; that doesn't help his case either.
  16. Ahh, I think you're right; I didn't look at the back toe at all. I thought my eyes were just deceiving me.
  17. Just looking at all the video clips of this time for the millionth time, but isn't McGehee out on this play: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=5063339 The second tag McGehee isn't touch the bag at all is he?
  18. What's Parra's excuse? Or Suppan in April? They both had the legendary Kendall catching them. It's just one of those things, nothing to worry about, imo. Bush has been pitching poorly lately. Unless he's hurt, I expect he will start pitching better at some point.I'm not, by any means, placing any blame on Rivera for Bush's pitching as of late. Rivera doesn't call for hanging curveballs and cutters over the middle of the plate. I'm just saying, that it sure doesn't help his cause when you've got a below-average fielding catcher behind the plate, compared to an above-average fielder in Kendall.
  19. Sigh...I will never understand why managers make these types of decisions. You're kidding right? Maybe because you have the best closer in the history of the game in your bullpen? Lefties have a career batting average against of .133 against Stetter. Even the hall of famer Trevor Hoffman can't compare to that
  20. I agree with most of what you say brewdude, but I just can't say Gamel is under-performing. I can't expect a rookie to come up and produce instantly. Sure he's not playing how he did in AAA; but did you expect him to seamlessly make the transition with no hiccups?
  21. At what point do you let Bush get caught by Kendall? It sure doesn't seem fair to have games like today where Kendall may have gotten 1 or 2 more outs than Rivera did. Not to mention the whole "calling of the game" that Kendall supposedly does better (not sure I buy into this reasoning all too much).
  22. Please Macha, if you're going to use splits; use lefty/righty splits, not player vs. pitcher splits...
