  1. Quite possibly. We'll find out for sure in the next few weeks,
  2. I realize it's still early, but at present this team doesn't look like a playoff team, let alone a Super Bowl contender.
  3. Crushing loss. It would've been somewhat easier (though still disappointing) if the Brewers would have lost big in this game.
  4. I assume you're referring to black walnuts that, according to Wikipedia, are "typically hairy on the underside."
  5. I think he was brought in with two outs and bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th. Things obviously didn't go well for him.
  6. Two bad innings -- one worse than the other. But, heck, all it takes is one bad inning to lose a game.
  7. True. Let's face it: we'd be very disappointed in anything short of a World Series victory.
  8. One of these years they'll get over the hump, hopefully.
  9. Some sloppy play on defense and two relief pitchers who've been solid and reliable in recent times -- but not today. Also, Freddy did give up three runs, so he certainly wasn't lights out.
  10. I think I got it, too, although -- embarrassingly -- it took me about 15 minutes to do so.
  11. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/41422039/eliminated-pirates-dfa-veterans-rowdy-tellez-michael-taylor Apparently Rowdy was only four plate appearances short of a 200K bonus before being DFA'd. The Pirates deny finances were a factor in the timing of the DFA, of course. Hmm...
  12. A very nice comeback win! I was pleasantly surprised.
  13. Hopefully the Brewers will be on the positive end of that random baseball-ness very soon.
  14. On one hand, I can understand the "letdown" after the other day's celebration. OTOH, the Brewers aren't feeling pressure to clinch a playoff spot, so I don't think they're pressing. They're just not hitting very well, albeit against some top pitchers.
  15. Very nice win! A good day for Milwaukee sports!
  16. If and when we play the Phillies in the playoffs, I guess we have to hope that Nola and Wheeler have bad games.
  17. That's why I was so relieved the Cubs lost today.
  18. Ah. I wasn't aware of that. Makes sense. I just "know" him from the 1994 O.J. Simpson murder trial.
  19. True. Although I fear this game may have been the same had the Cubs won today.
  20. Is Kato Kaelin truly a Brewers fan? The tweets I've seen of his have been rather vulgar and full of ridicule. Just curious.
  21. 9-2 would be fantastic, but, yeah, I don't see it either.
