  1. I think Murphy is getting a little too much blame for this loss. The bullpen guys he used should have been able to win this; they didn't. Yet I realize the Dbacks can easily score multiple runs in an inning. Yes, I would've liked to see Devin pitch the 10th. If he had taken the loss, what else could you say except "It just wasn't meant to be."
  2. Understandable. But then, there have been plenty of games where the pitching bailed out a lack of offense. This game happened to be the other way around. Disappointing that the usually (but not always, of course) reliable bullpen guys couldn't nail it down today. Tough to lose a game that initially looked lost early on but then suddenly looked like a win later in the game -- until it wasn't.
  3. Good game for the Brewers' offense. Not so much for the pitching. That said, the Dbacks have some darn good hitters.
  4. Well, if they hope to win a World Series one of these years they're going to have to find a way to at least partially refill that tank come September.
  5. I would think the Braves or Mets, but probably not by much. At least, I personally would "favor" either team based on the Brewers playoff exits the last few years. Hopefully that'll change.
  6. Probably because we know it's very unlikely the Brewers will win the World Series this year.
  7. I'd be far more confident if they were winning these series as opposed to losing them. We know they can score runs. but this would be a bad time for them to go into a prolonged offensive slump.
  8. It is indeed hard to figure out. But now that he has his money, there's no real incentive for him to improve. An unwise decision by the Browns organization to give him all that guaranteed money.
  9. I dunno. I think Murphy sometimes takes a little too much heat for his decisions when they lose. I may not like every one of his decisions, but many times it's the players just not playing/executing well.
  10. Pitching has been pretty good, but the offense -- yeah.
  11. Yep. Unless they somehow really get hot in the next couple weeks. Not very likely, though.
  12. I don't think anyone on this forum believes the team sucks and/or are morons when they lose games. Far from it. But, yeah, we perhaps get overly frustrated when they're not playing well on a given day. And unless they win the World Series this year, the disappointment will likely be palpable here at the end of their season.
  13. Disappointing that the Brewers have lost several series to mediocre/inferior teams. Yet the Cardinals have been playing better against the stronger teams as of late.
  14. Why did they not? Asking price too high?
  15. My biggest concern is the Brewers going into a prolonged offensive slump in the next few weeks.
  16. The upcoming games against Arizona scare me a bit. They're playing well. So are the Phillies, of course.
