  1. I can't believe the prices on ANY of these. Most notably is the Iceman bobble. Are these people stupid? If I had an Iceman, I'd sell mine now no matter what, no way it holds that value. Side note, Bernie Stich N Pitch is already coming back down. I was debating selling my extra, but I'm gonna hold off. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bernie-Brewer-and-Fang-Brewers-Wisconsin-Timber-Rattlers-Bobble-Bobblehead-SGA-/380384441585?pt=US_Baseball_Fan_Shop&hash=item5890adf4f1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BERNIE-BREWER-Mascot-Milwaukee-Brewers-2012-Bernies-Chalet-not-Bobble-Head-New-/140901919814?pt=Vintage_Sports_Memorabilia&hash=item20ce68ac46 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kent-Iceman-Meyer-Milwaukee-Brewer-bobblehead-/261142713637?pt=US_Baseball_Fan_Shop&hash=item3ccd519525 http://www.ebay.com/itm/NIB-2007-MILWAUKEE-BREWERS-COMPLETE-SET-13-BOBBLEHEADS-White-Yount-Molitor-/221177270419?pt=Vintage_Sports_Memorabilia&hash=item337f315093
  2. Yah, there's a lot of garbage signatures out there. I don't mind if it's not perfectly legible, as long as it makes sense. Rickie Weeks sig comes to mind for example. Segura's is terrible, and apparently so is Taylor Jungmans
  3. Do you have a link to that? I don't have any intention on bidding, just wondering what schedule magnet lots go for
  4. I didn't see any other link to this, so if there is, please lock up this one. Have you been following it? Is it more or less a spring training game to you? Personally, I love it. To me it's meaningful games, though the pitch count can be a reason to grumble. The Dutch taking out Cuba is pretty exciting, as is Italy advancing to the second round. The bench clearling brawl between Mexico and Canada was the best I've seen. I just haven't seen anyone else on the board talking about it, and thought since its once every four years it'd get some more recognition.
  5. In other words a commerative bobblehead featuring the entire 2002 roster!
  6. I still don't understand why the Brewers didn't just give out 10,000 Ice Man bobbles instead of those silly Miller Lite ones that year when he was voted for best vendor. Still coulda been sponsored by Miller Lite. Win Win.
  7. Just like the Streban or Ozzie last year? Give it till the off season.
  8. I don't plan on getting those or to include them or the other religious based ones in my collection. I know some of you no matter what will get these, and may also to go get the other ones now too. I'll include them on the list if you feel it's necessary, but then I should add the other ones on there as well. However, I was continually ridiculed until I included Lou Gherig though that bobble doesn't have much to do with anything Stars/Brewers, so I think I'll put em up there. There's 5 other ones I given out from 05-08. I'll add them at some point today. As far as Sheffield goes, how many players that made it to the Brewers play for Helena and didn't just skip over it and go straight to A ball? Don't forget, Sheffield got a Ports bobble too. Something tells me that people in Helena don't know/care that Shef was a prick in Milwaukee (and the other 7 cities he played in), they just know he hit 500 homeruns and got a few rings on the way. I like the Dickey selection, why not showcase a Cy Young Winner? I don't think Sounds fans really pay a ton of attention to the Brewers (just like I don't pay a ton of attention to the Predators, though the Ads are here).
  9. 1. Game 162 to go to the Wild Card 2. Game 5 of the NLDS 3. Yount's 3000th Hit 4. Nolan Ryans's 300th Win 5. Easter Sunday Miracle (My mom and I were driving home from my Grandparents and she had to pull off the road we were so excited) Honorable Mention: CC's first start at The Keg Any of the three playoff games I attended were great as they were all wins, but for regular season, I think those are the ones I'll remember most.
  10. If he stays healthy and gets off to a good start I don't think it will be an issue, but Rickie Weeks could be the guy that most media and casual fans will get tired of.
  11. I just want to bump this since I prefer the Price Guide thread to be only for a reference site, not a conversation thread. (Especially since posters don't delete their posts upon request and I have to hunt down a moderator to do it). Not trying to be a jerk, it's just annoying...thanks.
  12. Record 82-80 Division: 3rd (Reds, Cardinals) All Stars: Braun, Aoki Disappointments: The pitching staff Surprises: Segura World Series: Nationals over Blue Jays
  13. Go to Central Park. The American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan has entry on donation. Take a train to Coney Island and get a hot dog from Nathans, ride the cyclone and the ferris wheel. Swim at Coney Island and buy an empanada or 3 from the locals too.Pizza at any of the infinite places. If you go to Times Square the Toys R Us is worth checking out, even if you have no interest in buying toys. Get a 40 of Balentine Ale from any corner store. Take the Staton Island Ferry. Go see the Freedom Fountain. Go see the Ghostbusters firehouse. I've spent a half dozen weekends in New York (staying with friends), and as BrewersSuperCollector said, you can do it on the cheap if you game plan it right. Depending on where you stay the subway can take awhile to get to Queens or to Brooklyn so plan your time accordingly. Finally, despite what any person or song tells you, it is hard to reach, and you will NOT be able to hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach. (But 53rd and 3rd is pretty easy to get to).
  14. MLB opened up its vault. Lots of great videos, including Bob Ueckers HOF and statue speeches http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/52052/mlb-opens-its-vault-to-destroy-your-productivity
  15. now they sell em for 50. 75 signed.
  16. I have a guess. And knowing what they charge for bobbleheads it was under most likely five bucks or less. Don't get me wrong, getting that Hall bobble is great, but the Sheets jersey was probably THE find. The closest thing I ever came to a huge find I had I was shut out on. I dont wanna say I missed out, but I was held out of a Sheets signed gamer and a Yount game used signed jersey at the On Deck the year of the blizzard at Brookfield Square. I got there early, before it was cancelled, and then they cancelled it right after I got there. I went over to the rummage and I was ready to get both jerseys and a guy was checking me out ($50 for both!!!) when a lady told me "we cant sell these, it's unfair to those who couldn't come out because of the weather" I tried pleading my case since I drove through a blizzard to get there and have the money on me, it's the price they were asking for, blah blah blah, but the lady wouldn't budge. I was pretty bummed out. Fast forward to last year and I managed to get a signed Betancourt signed jersey for BrewersSuperCollector. So I guess it evens out
  17. Honestly, I don't see why anyone wouldn't just buy a 10 pack. Everyone knows the price for Opening Day is expensive just for one game. If Opening Day is gonna be around 100 to get in, why not spend 80 more to get 10 more games? Or go to Opening Day and sell off your other tickets? I started doing this when the Arctic Tailgate became too much of a hassle to attend and I haven't regretted it for a second. Also, you won't be in the same predicament if/when the Brewers make the playoffs. You'll get a shot for at least one NLDS and NLCS game (No World Series games for 10 game packs though)
  18. That guy was a fool to take the bobble over the Sheets jersey. You'll eventually have another shot at the bobblehead, you prolly won't ever see that jersey again. The Pilots helmet is probably the best thing he got. That rules. I've been pretty fortunate in the rummage sale. I go right to the jerseys, then to the bats. You won't find Sabathia, Greinke, or Fielder there, but I got Wolf, Marcum, Morgan, and Gagne. This year I had a Bill Hall bat litterally taken out of my hands. There was a buncha people around, so I couldn't see who took it. It was a bush league move, but I let it go since it wasn't a Prince Fielder bat or something.
  19. I believe Miller Park doesn't do group rates on Opening Day anymore, so you'll be hard pressed to find any bar that does a package. With all the 10 packs, 20 packs, and season ticket holders out there that get Opening Day included with their packs, there isn't much room left for group deals. A lot of bars will do an outing the day after or the first weekend following Opening Day. Stubhub or eBay might be your best bet. You can also talk to friends that have ticket packages, I've noticed that as ticket holders get older, they aren't as interested in Opening Day as in the past because it's too much about the party, and not about the game for most so they are likely to sell them (for more than face value, but not as much as eBay or Stubhub would charge ya) Hope that helped. Good luck!
  20. I heard rumors that the alternate versions of the Braun bobble are signed by Tony Bosch!
  21. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1982-Donruss-Milwaukee-Brewers-Team-Set-27-Cards-Robin-Yount-NrMt-Mint-/310510782125?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item484be286ad http://www.ebay.com/itm/1982-Fleer-Milwaukee-Brewers-Team-Set-25-Cards-NrMT-/310510782160?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item484be286d0
  22. I'll double what that guy on eBay just sold his for.
  23. Just sold a polish for 31 and a chorizo for 34. I'll go and get one, and prolly pay for my friends to get a few extras for some trade bait, but if you miss out on one, yer best bet is to wait it out. Prices will come down from 50 by the offseason. I'm gonna hold onto the other couple of each I have and see if they bounce back when the season starts...
  24. thablingster scored a T-Plush bobble from the rummage sale inventory, proving "them" wrong in at least one case. *like button* I prolly shoulda picked up a few bobbles. I didn't even ask about prices on em when I was told that. I'm trying to reduce my collection, so I stayed away.
