  1. with patience you can complete that set for much cheaper. the Charlie Moore was a tough one to get for awhile, but that's come way down. for the most part all bobbles have. I wonder how my extra Beloit Prince will do on eBay these days for Detroit fans.
  2. This is a little different than the SGAs. They know people are buying these for their collections, but they are meant for people who knit (ie women). They are probably pretty alright with having the sausages as part of their collection. I don't think I mind the Sausages for Stich N Pitch so much, it's the other set that I'm not a fan of. I still think they shoulda did Bonnie Brewer last year. Oh well, nothing beats having 4 sets of the sausages to display.
  3. they also added a "2011 Central Division Champs" flag/banner/sign to compliment the other playoff appearances. I know that that's probably so obvious it was left out, but an addition nonetheless
  4. Looking for either a 2002 Sexson, or 2002 Ben Sheets Also looking for that Promo girl bobble from the Timber Rattlers. I am pretty sure someone was selling one on here recently along with some other ones. Let me know if you can help me, ASAP. Thanks Corey
  5. we need another robin yount bobblehead like we need another 106 loss season. just sayin'
  6. He did sound nervous. But I'll give him some time. Remember, it's his spring training too...
  7. It's a little late for this, but on the way back Grienke coulda been still around, as well as Yo (depending on how much you wanna invest in him)...that way you got yer Brewer and the best guy off the board. IMO, Miggy was the right choice. He may be ineligible at third for the first week, but then move him right over there. 1st is a lot deeper for power hitters.
  8. Things have become different over time, but pitchers should still be hitting in high school regularly. Many play two positions if they go to college as well. I'm sure that baseball will eventually go to the DH, but it's a stupid move that'll make NL teams pay 8-10 million for a guy that can hit, money I'd much rather see go to pitching. Nottso, you may be onto something, but the union would never go for it. How is that gonna go over in the playoffs when a guy like Big Papi gets to bat in the top of the first, and then yer pitcher can't get an out in the bottom half and is immediately replaced. Now you've lost one of your best hitters. (and a guy that is paid 13 million as well). Remember when Prince punched Manny Parra? I could see a lot more of that happening.
  9. Before reading I figured the top 5 would be the Yankees, Dodgers, Giants, Red Sox, and Cardinals. I wasn't too far off. Articles like this are just boring, and I don't know who finds his little jabs about a team or cities past funny. I don't even know why I'm on the computer when I'm sure I can be watching reruns of Happy Days, Step By Step or that 70's Show.
  10. *MMM HMMM COUGH* Catcher In The Wry. You've probably heard some of these stories numerous times from Ueck, but there' ones I hadn't read before, and does it really matter? They're always good for a laugh. I've been searching forever for Catch .222 but can't find it for the life of me. (Also, you will not go wrong with Ball Four)
  11. I know some of you are pretty good at making McFarlanes. Have any of you tried to do a bobblehead? Let me know. Also lemme know if you'd be interested in making some cash. Apparently you need 4-5 months to order one online. I have a little less than 3 months. #wedding Thanks Corey
  12. Players first appearance/start? I might be able to help you to some degree...I have kept all my tickets to games I went to in the last 6 or 7 years....I can't promise they're mint. I know for one season I wrote the final score on them, and they might be kinda bent up from putting them in my wallet.
  13. The H8ers shirt is way better. That other shirt is pretty played out and stupid. The "Priceless" campaign started probably 10 years ago. I can see a 50+ year old man or woman buying one because they're just out of the loop on what qualifies for clever, but that's about it.
  14. yah, i got a ben sheets or a craig counsell mini when i went to spring training years ago.
  15. got one for 30 bucks last year. flipped it the next week for 85. not bad. the next week I spent that money to get into Fenway Park. All in a days work.
  16. anyone know when the promotional schedule for minor league teams will be announced? outside knowing the rattlers opening day bobbles, no other affiliate has anything listed.
  17. BHF, if you ever wanna get rid of some of yer stuff...please contact me first!!!
  18. it wasn't a bobblehead. it was a "wobbler" it had a rounded base, that kinda, well for lack of a better term, wobbled. think of those punching bag things kids have where you hit it, swings down, and then pops back up. i'll try to find a picture. EDIT: I'm almost certain Bobble Brian has one. The site that I thought may have a picture, doesn't have one.
  19. Classic. http://eye-on-baseball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22297882/34959079
  20. haha hawing...I didn't just mean staying home on a friday, just indoors in general on a Friday night...though I find myself more domesticated as of late...getting older is boring.
  21. the Charlie Moore mini was given away during a Cubs game. For a long time (and quite possibly still) was the most sought after of that series because so many Cubs fans just threw them away or broke them. I could see Chicago fans holding onto a Yount or Molitor, but they don't know who Charlie Moore is. I don't think Chicago fills the seats like they used to though, so it could be different this year.
  22. Got my Don Money today too. Also got a Sounds team picture and a Marcum Blue Jays card. Thanks again!!!
  23. I did this from 2005-2007, and was first and third in line the second of the two years. it's a lot of fun if yer in college, or fresh out with a garbage job that allows this kinda thing. The past few years I've been pretty happy being a little older and staying indoors on a Friday to get hammered, knowing my tickets were paid for in December.
  24. There was a student in my class, and though he was a freshman, had striking resemblance to a young Prince Fielder. Pausing that video and showing him right after the strikeout always got a good laugh from him and his classmates.
  25. From my understanding, Prince is no longer vegetarian.
