  1. This is kinda dated. I took this in July of 2010. Since then I've taken down all the regular jerseys and left up the alternates/retros to make room for a lot of the minor league ones I was missing at the time. Now I'm only missing the Alternate Helena Braun, Indianaoplis Uecker, Indianaoplis Rowdie, Attanasio, Hall Track Suit, 2004 Bernie, and a couple of last years Brewers SGA's. Maybe later today I can get a better picture up here.http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/6095/bobbleheads.jpg
  2. My take on cutting it open is that if it doesn't work, it's not worth as much as if it does. However, if you can find a way to make it work, even by cutting it open it will be worth less. In the end, I think it evens out to be pretty close to the same amount. I wouldn't mind having one that's been altered to work, and one that doesn't as a reserve. When they first came out in 2009, they were selling for near 300. that price has come down, but I can see someone pulling the trigger in the last few minutes if no one else has bid yet. I also think that the overall value of Brewers bobbleheads have gone down about 15 - 20% in the last few years outside of maybe the Attanasio, or Bernie Brewer 2004 birthday.
  3. someone on here sawed theirs open and after some tinkering got it working again. he said the wiring was super shotty, and the wires themselves were not very strong. at any rate, I got one for like 40 bucks awhile back that didn't work. the same week one sold for 35.
  4. i posted it on the other thread too. i'll take the Money.
  5. I got dibs on the Don Money. Soundsfan, inbox me yer paypal.
  6. sounds fan. check your inbox. thanks!
  7. SO %^#*@^ SICK OF RETRO BOBBLEHEADS. I have a feeling that the Morgan alternate is gonna be an expensive one to come by.
  8. Anyone got one for sale? Inbox me. Thanks!
  9. I've updated the "master" list on the top of the message board with this years crop. I'll tweak it more when I know for sure who will have alternates (I'm guessing all but Uecker and the Italian).
  10. I was just checking when the next card show is gonna be, and from http://my.execpc.com/~pjsports/SHOWS.htm and only Serb Hall shows are listed...is Gonzaga done doing shows, or is there a better page I should be looking at? If you've been to both halls you probably know that Serb Hall isn't really anything to get excited about.... Thanks
  11. I get that...BSC, there's just other all fan giveaways to be had. Anyone would take a Brewers shirt with whatever sponsors logo on the sleeve, or the back...I know none of us on here will change anyone's minds in the promotional offices. They know that people collect all of these, they also know that there's tons of fans that are happy having one or two sitting on their desk at work.
  12. Bob Uecker did television ads for the Admirals sometime around the mid 90's...in 2006 they had a jersey like the sportscoat Ueck is wearing in his bobblehead.
  13. With Ueckers more recent health issues, this year is a better choice. No one knows if he'll be in the booth next year or not. Obviously, you pray he will be, but it's not a given. As far as "Brewers that made history" the lasting result on Marcum is that he's the guy that pissed away the playoffs for us. I'm glad that Braun didn't get one to be honest. He has two already, and since these are promoted to kids as well, they shouldn't promote "making mistakes." I've written to the Brewers the past two years with suggestions (mostly to get rid of the retros, and if they choose to do alternates, to mix up the other jerseys. I've never seen a team that lost a championship so celebrated.) Also to give them away during the week, since they'll sell out or come close to it on weekends no matter what. I got a reply last year, not this year. I still think they shoulda had the 10 year anniversary of the All Star Game with Bud Seligs shoulders shrugged, and a 25th anniversary of "Team Streak" with a Juan Nieves no hitter bobble. In my opinion, they shoulda dropped it from 6 to 3 years ago. But whatever, flood the market, it'll be like the 1990's baseball card collapse of Milwaukee.
  14. Here's the thing about this that I don't like: Corey Hart was drafted by the Brewers, and this is a giveaway by a Tampa Bay Rays affiliate. Bowling Green is where he grew up and played high school ball. Since it's not given out by a Brewers affiliate, I don't see the need to get it into my collection. Especially at the 70 bucks or whatever the cost may be. I felt the same way about that Randy Ready bobble that Fort Wayne, Dale Svuem Altoona Curves, or Laynce Nix Roughriders? You gotta draw a line somewhere. Otherwise, whats next? Get every bobblehead of any player that appeared in a Brewers uniform?
  15. i emailed em and told them to do away with the retro jersey, and instead of doing everything in the home white jersey, to mix it up with the navy or gray jerseys...so far they have not listened.
  16. at first i thought it was identical to jason kendall. then i went and looked at it, and there's some differences. it looks pretty good. still praying there isn't a retro. even if they do an alternate (which I'm not a fan of either), i hope it's a navy or gray uni.
  17. Turborickey has been waiting for this day since July 29th
  18. This mighta been the best On Deck I went to. One of my buddies was strapped for cash this year but had been going in years past, so he was willing to give me a hand. I also had all the bigger names already so I viewed this as a "karma" day to help out a seperate friend who had never been....As I got stuff for myself, and my buddy helped me out, I was also able to help out my other friend, and BrewersSuperCollector helped me out and I was happy to return the favor. In the rummage I scored a Betancourt jersey for BSC, a Betancourt ball for myself, a Doug Davis gamer bat, a Rogers gamer jersey, and a Don Money signed jersey. In the auto lines I came out with: Ramirez, Uecker (County Stadium Ball), Mark A (2011 Division Champs inscription), Lucroy, Bradley and Jungman (Both with 1st Round Draft Pick inscription), Gonzalez, Narveson ("Narvdog" inscription), and Green. The only downer in the auto lines was that Narveson was given a blue pen, he held it while signing my ball in black pen. Whatever I guess. I also was able to get Scooter Gennett, Khris Davis, Corey Hart, and Taylor Green on bobbles for my buddy. Also found out that the home brew we made for Nyjer Morgan and delivered to the office for him called "T.Plush Pale Ale" NEVER GOT TO HIM. The people involved in that were pretty bummed, but we'll make more and deliver it to him in person this season. Hats off to the Brewers for continuing to tweak areas, and keep this an event that's affordable and fun and for those interested in this kinda thing, and also it all goes to a great cause
  19. Whatever. He shaved his awesome beard off and got corn rows. It's like I hardly know him anymore anyway.
  20. For Uecker, will he do a bobblehead then?
  21. whose line do you think is gonna be more crazy? uecker and attanasio or ramirez? i wanna hit the rummage sale and get ramirez, but i don't think there's any way i can do both...but we'll try, i guess.
  22. WSSP just texted me saying Braun will not be appearing Sunday due to "sensitivity" issues.
  23. Assuming Prince can do what he did in Milwaukee, they'll retire his number and he'll go in the Hall of Fame as a Tiger. Neither thing his father did. Eclipsing his father's legacy in Detroit ten fold. Giving Prince the final laugh.
  24. My band played in Denver once. We didn't have much time to mess around because we were on tour, but the guy who set up the show got us pizza from a little dive type place called Two Fisted Marios, and it was excellent. It's in the uptown area. That's all I got.
  25. This is extremely sad news. My thoughts go out to him and his family.http://eye-on-baseball.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22297882/34468077
