This may be worded poorly, but during the game, my friends and i were debating if and when they changed from an all star jersey during the game to each representatives team as they do now. Any clarification?

Lunch with Uecker would probably be a major let down since he is just a grumpy old man. He'd probably leave you with the bill and not say much making the entire situation awkward.

What are the chances that CC does an autograph friday this year? I have the entire team on a bat with the exception of Hall, Bush, Kendall, Rivera, Counsell and Branyan. I intentionally left a good spot for someone incase we made a big move. Obviously it'd be nice if he did sign. It's gonna be a mess getting to him though.

Im gonna try to go out there next year, so I'll keep those tips in mind. Tito, Evan Gritzon lives out there now. But he said you can get tickets dirt cheap on Stubhub because the team is so lousy this year attendance is very low. Try looking there. He told me he got descent seats for around 12 bucks each. Usually if I have a beer it helps. Not throw down a 6 pack and get wasted, but if you nurse a single beer while watching tv that seems to help. I listen to talk radio too 1130AM with Greg Norry isn't bad, 1250am is good too. Othertimes I try to think about random things that I enjoy. I also get the 1000 things racing through my head at night, that seems to block it.

At Cooperstown, all those guys signed for 50 or less. Musial I can't say for sure but Carew and Gibson were both at 50, inscriptions may have been 15 or 20 per guy.

Riverwest is where I live and I've never had a problem more than the occasional guy asking me for change. All the crackheads respect their neighborhood and cross the river into parts where the rich kids live http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend. There's really nice condos right by the Lake Front Brewery, but I'm sure those don't come cheaply. I love the riverwest area and it's cheap to live here, so that's where I live. You just have to be smart about walking alone at night and you generally don't want to leave anything like your iPod in your car. I have friends that just leave their windows down in riverwest, at least that way they won't break your windows just to find nothing. The east side has had its recent problems, especially right by campus. Working at Patty Burger, I know they just got held up less than a week ago. It happens everywhere, the frequency just may not be as high as other places.

I don't think I can make it this year, though it sounds like a blast! How often is something like this in Chicago? I wouldn't mind going to one of these things. Is it mostly card dealers? I'm not a big card collector, but I love memorabilia in general, how does signed stuff price out as far as comparing it to eBay or something?

yah, that's just funny on all accounts. I'm pretty sure I know who you guys are talking about. He's always in line for the Uecker seats. The way he presents himself is some hotshot (which turns me off entirely), but acts like a total moron in general. I can vouche for pretty much everyone by the lot before games that they are in it for themselves. As said, most get photos from the Friday's autograph nights signed, and the others that get bobbleheads or balls signed to me sound like they are doing it just for their rec room or bar collection. From my expereiences they're all very friendly, and will even give you a Friday's photo if someone signs and you don't have anything for them. Overall very nice guys in it for themselves, not a business.

BillyHallFan, are you referring to Annoying Nick? Cuz most certainly he was getting signatures for a guy at a card shop. He says he just collects for himself now, but it's still hard to believe the way he talks about the sigs he's gotten. There's probably a few others out there, but for the most part, the guys in the lot all get the autograph friday photos or cards signed, if they are doing that to sell em they're idiots cuz if they wanted to make a living off of it, they'd have balls signed...checking stuff out on eBay I know that signed cards, and those photos are worth barley anything, but signed balls and bats can spark some interest (though most of the more seeked out players don't even come by the autograph goers with the exception of Suppan and Fielder and the occasional Hart or Weeks, heck, even Counsell won't sign in the lot and I promise his eBay demand isn't very high) Edit: I dunno if this was brought up, but Shouse won't sign in the lot anymore cuz someone got him to sign a buncha balls one the sweetspot and then sold em as Ben Sheets (Its easy to make the 51 look like a 15) I got Rickie Weeks last friday, and the other time I went to the players lot this year I got Corey Hart. So Hart DOES still sign in the lot. However, there was only me and three other guys (one guy was in his 40s and the rest of us were near or in the 30's) You'd thnk that if guys signed all the time everywhere their value would decrease cuz the autograph would be much easier to come by. Ask Bob Feller for an autograph and he'll reply "Your kidding! How do you not have my autograph?!" and you can generally find a signed ball of his right around 30 bucks on eBay, and he without wartime he coulda been the best pitcher in baseball but missed 4 years because of the war, during his prime. As far as Legends of the Field goes, I'd rather take my chances on getting a guy off eBay for 30 bucks cheaper than whatever they charge and taking the gamble it isn't authentic. I highly doubt there is someone out there figuring out a way to forge Corey Hart's signature. If someone was really going to go outta their way to do that, you'd think they'd figure out someone like Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, or Sandy Koufax, but maybe that's just me.

The one ad I hate the most (more so than all the other garbage ones that everyone else rattled off) is the "Are you living the HARLEY life" ones. Again I dunno if these are on during the games or just WSSP, but god awful. "You in the closet?!" Maybe I'm overthinking this, but it sounds like a blatant homosexual reference even though the guy is into Harley Motorcycles The other ad they had going was telling a guy he was "On Harley life support" even though he was going to one of Harley's biggest motorcycle rallies of the year instead of seeing the Love Monkeys (or whatever stupid cover band) play in a parking lot during some sale. Shouldn't anyone associated with Harley support going to Sturgis? I dunno, I don't own a motorcycle, infact I'm scared to death of them, but to me it doesn't make sense. The other thing that bothers me is that Harley and Miller are the two biggest companies in Milwaukee, and Harley is ripping off Miller's ad campaign. The Harley commericials get me so hot and bothered I'd seriously like to punch the Harley Life guy, and the guy who decided it was a good idea to rip off a great ad campiagn by Miller. Vomit. I'm pretty sure they play it during games on the radio, I know they play it constantly on WSSP, but that George Webb commercial. It's on all the time. "Some of those famous George Webb's eggs and hashbrowns sound awfully good about now...ehhh, maybe that's just me" I think it's that last part that bugs me the most. I hate commercials that end like that. The Good Feet store one with Bill Schroder saying maybe he coulda batted .250, then says "ehhh, maybe not"....or that other commercial with Bob Uecker going "tell em I sent you...ehhhh, maybe you shouldn't" terrible and annoying. It really seems like anything local should not try to be humorous in their commercials, it never works. NEVER.

So i got there, and my friend from Huntsville and I figured we could make it into the game and get em and then go to the music fest...I got 12 tickets keeping all the BFers in mind along with a few other friends...THEN after getting the tickets and paying, they informed me that I had to be there after the game, not before, and it was one per person, not ticket. since i was down there for a music fest, i couldn't be there after the game. At first the lady wouldn't let me get my money back, and after pleading and putting up a stink about how a buncha friends and i were only gonna come in and watch the first few innings before leaving, some guy finally got tired of listening to me and gave me my money back (60 bucks). So yeah, no bobbles. Sorry everyone. I did get Matt LaPorta to sign a ball for me though, cept he wouldn't sweet spot it for me, and then insisted on making it personalized, which was fine, but if he was gonna make it out to me, it woulda looked much nicer on the sweet spot. When he gets to Milwaukee I'm sure he'll SS then and I'll prolly just get him again. Didn't have a chance to get Mat Gammel but my friend got one of the pitchers phone numbers.

i dunno if the game is sold out or not, but i'll be at Thursdays game, I might get tickets for Saturday and just get the bobbles...I'm going down there for a music fest, so it really depends on what time everything is happening at, but i'm down for that trade provided i can get one corey

geeze, de ja vu is aleady gone? i remember it was the big thing, but never got to ride it cuz the 4 times i was there when it was up it was always shut down...i used to go to six flags for free when i did camp counselling...i guess de javu made sense cuz every time i went it was closed....what was that other ride that six flags used to have that was always closed? dejavu took it's place and that was always closed too...the eagle and viper are the best rides there cuz they're wooden, but i love raging bull...giant drop is also pretty sweet...i haven't been there since superman opened...i dunno what people have to even pay for a ticket these days....i remember when twickets were a dollar, now i hear they are 20?!?! that's a joke...get the half day pass and get there after work...all the kids groups are gone and you can hit every ride without much of a line, besides, after 5 hours yer prolly burned out anyway!!!! great america = money pit!!!!!!!

most of you prolly missed out on the brewers on deck near the end of the rummage sale...i got 2 branyan signed baseballs for only 10 bucks!!!! steal of the century...now yer wondering why i didn't buy the other 20 or so that were sitting there? and that's because i love bf.net so much i was hoping you also could get yer mittens full of gold those things don't grow on trees ya know!!!! if i ever get married, that extra ball might just go to my best man, also a huge 3TO fan also, I don't think it was his longest homerun at the Keg, maybe his second though...but the moonshot he hit against the marlins in 2004 that looked like it was going to clear the scoreboard (it took off so fast, and WAS above the scoreboard), only to completely pummel near the warning track, yet still hit the middle...god did not want his name taken in vain by 35,000 plus in unison, that's seriously the only explanation why it didn't get over. seriously.
