  1. Someone recently told me that Chris Gardner (Pursuit Of Happyness) drives around Chicago with a Ferrari with the plates NOT MJ that's pretty good
  2. I got this idea from Pitchleague's post...but what are some of the best plates you've seen on the road? my mini van has VANARKY on it...other ones I've seen and liked are GETOMAN BRWRSFN NOTMINE any that you guys remember that stick out?
  3. I would love in, any day is fine with me!!!! Thanks for doing a drawing Pedro!!!
  4. most of these bands have only put out 7"s, but they totally rule and are well worth checking out on myspace...I've really only been buying 7"s lately, it's my favorite format, but can be annoying when yer trying to do something while listening to records...anyway this is all i can think of for now, i'll add some full lengths later, but I haven't really gotten anything from this year Tuff Bananas "Candy" 7" and "Dance To Rock N Roll" 7" Thomas Function "Vanity Lights" 7" and "The Insignificants" 7" Future Virgins 7" (I can't remember the title) Blotto/Drunken Boat split 7"
  5. I saw him at the Cactus Club last year, and loved it. The first time I heard him I hated it, but htat was 10 years ago. The cough and then spitting loogies into his drink is a schtick most people won't copy as well. "Any baseball fans out there? Have you heard about Barry Bonds chase for the record? He's about to break Janis Joplins record for most injections"
  6. Social D is a great band. I'd like to hear a few of the hits from Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell. I'm sure I'll hear Mommy's Little Monster and Mainliner, two excellent songs. Does Mike Ness have any original guys backing him up? I've seen them twice before and I thought I heard besides the other guitarist/bassist(?) who died of a brain tumor or something that the rest of the guys were back, can't confirm that though. Less Than Jake is gonna be the best show of all of Summerfest, I hope they bring back their crazy stage act with a circus going on while they play, that'd be perfect for a show like that
  7. Didn't a team do this last year as well?
  8. It's an mp3 that my friend sent me. I have no idea where to store it on the net.
  9. I found this baseball song called Homerun by Gary Private. It's pretty descent for a powerpop song, but I have no idea how to do html or upload it for others to hear it. I know some of you guys get a kick outta hearing baseball songs, so if it's easy to do, lemme know and I'll try to get it up here. Otherwise if it's easier I can email it to someone and they can throw it up. Inbox me or something. Word.
  10. BHF, what are you getting that yer selling all this stuff? I never sell any of my baseball stuff, I want the biggest collection I can get...I hope you found a good deal on a Babe Ruth ball or are bidding on a Honus Wagner card or something
  11. they're the BP jerseys, go to brewers.com and shop around there, i bet you can find something
  12. Also, be sure to find out exactly what you need to take right away. UWM screwed me for at least a year of classes I didn't need. There's a lot of electives you need, and be sure you don't take the wrong one. That's where they got me. For your arts credits, beginner guitar is pretty much the easiest A in the world. Take it with Bev, I don't think she's ever given lower than a B+ unless you skipped the final.
  13. This is from Wikipedia, so while a good theory, I dont know if I buy it, but I kind of do... The reason I could buy into this, is that Meadow opens to door and she looks startled for that brief second before the screen went to black. I liked the build up to the ending. I wasn't sure what was going to happen, especially with all the shots of various people that were looking at him. It seemed like everything was alright. Then the sudden ending. If Tony did get shot, that they would have showed it. I know that's what they were going for, but it bothers the hell outta me not knowing for sure.
  14. i wanna know how they are gonna get this is getting on the radio...i'm still trying to get "Lets Hear It For The Brew Crew" on We sent the demo to Mark Attanasio, maybe we shoulda sent it to someone else in the Brewers PR department. I have no idea. That was about a month ago though, and still haven't heard anything. Even a "thank you, but..." would be nice
  15. Or they are Brewers fans that are just waiting for another let down. I'm not one of them, but I still know lots of people that keep saying "I wont believe this team is for real until the All Star Break, or maybe even August"
  16. Anyone know how well houses are selling right now? I'll be putting my house up on July 1st. I'm basically broke now and I'd like to sell this thing as quickly as possible. I live in Wauwatosa's northeast side if that helps at all. I'm just curious so I know what to be ready for. Realistically, I'd like to move in with my friends August 1st, but we have a friend who's moving in September/October that will need a place for a month or so, who would take my spot in the lease of the place I plan on moving to eventually. Thanks
  17. I got Braun at Friday's after the game Friday night, he was signing after his interview with the Unit. He signed my team ball and an individual ball on the sweet spot. He seemed like a really nice guy and after I thanked him he said something like "I can't thank you guys enough for the support, it means a lot" Maybe someone can answer this for me. Just before he came into Friday's, a guy behind me caught him walking in and asked to sign on the sweet spot. He replied "sorry, i'm not allowed to" but once he got in, he signed for everyone on the sweet spot. My question is, once he's inside Friday's and know he's doing a signing after the interview, is it in his contract to sign on the sweetspot, but before he gets in, or right after he leaves, he's not allowed to? I've heard the same thing about Weeks, Prince, and JJ no longer signing on the sweet spot, but didn't have any problem getting them to do it at a Brewers On Deck or Autograph Friday's signing. But if you catch em at a bar or restaraunt, or even in the parking lot, are they still under a contract with some agent? Sheets is the only guy I know of that won't sign on the sweetspot, he likes to sign right under the MLB logo because "I have to face that guy." Maybe it's superstition, or maybe he thinks he's a hollywood star, I dunno
  18. Yeh, I'm with Peavey, I too am missing a bat for my Carlos Lee bobblehead hit up the inbox if got a hook up!
  19. I didnt try to put the bat in since I'm moving soon and won't be displaying it till then, but mine has a dried up paint glob near his eye, anyone else have that goin on?
  20. The lyrics are good, and kinda funny, but they end every line with a change in their tone...i dont know if it's to be funny or what...it gets annoying after the third line...they shoulda just did it straight up, i'd like it more i think "sheeter with the HEATER", "hall hits the deep BALL"
  21. The season Kolb was our closer I used to bring a sign that read "What's cooler than being cool? ICE KOLB!" I really wish that woulda picked up more, Darron Sutton used it a few times live after I talked to him in person and made the request, but it never really stuck. I wish Danny the best of luck on trying to get back to the bigs.
  22. About 4 summers ago I lived on 29th and National. Not necissarily the best neighborhood, but my roommates had all lived there for years and never had any problems. For the year I lived there it seemed pretty much like a family neighborhood without any problems. About 3 weeks before our lease was up, I went to bed, and woke up in the morning not knowing where my shorts (with my wallet) were at all. My dad had given me a blank check to get books, and I found that on the kitchen table. Then my roomate noticed the screen was messed up. I went outside and sure enough, there was a chair sitting by the window. Someone was not only in my house while we were all sleeping, but someone was IN. MY. ROOM. while I was sleeping. Then they took the time to go through my wallet and leave the check behind for some reason (I wish they woulda left my license too). I only had an ATM card at the time, which they tried using 10 times before the card declined after they couldn't figure out my pin number, but that freaked me out pretty good. I basically stayed at my parents house until my lease was up, and the only two times I did stay at that house I slept with a baseball bat next to me. (Not that it woulda done much good cuz when whoever broke in, I didn't wake up in the first place)
  23. thanks guys! that worked out really well and only took a few seconds to get the wax hot enough to come out...there was a descent amount so i was pretty worried thanks again
  24. try american science and surplus...i'd call em first, but I would think they have that stuff...get yer wallet ready though no matter where you go, I don't think it's cheap
  25. Anyone got any tips? I was cleaning my house and there's an area on pretty new carpet with wax on it. I need to get it out before I put it up on the market. Any suggestions would help a lot! Thanks!
