  1. So if Santos gives up only 1 run in the first 3 innings, and he's only lasted about 4 innings lately, is that a quality start? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. wow, that's an incredible shot if ya can heat it anywhere close to those purple seats
  3. I am far from being a fair weather fan with this team...there is a definately a lot of die hard fans on this board that think/know we should be winning games we've lost. We've also pulled out a few where we shouldn't have. It's so frustrating to see this team do remarkable things one day, and then look terrible the next. It's depressing to watch this team beat the crap out of the Nationals, and then see our ace give up 10 runs to the Rockies. I'd say most anyone that posts on here has a right to be upset because of this team and their inconsistencies. I hardly believe that majority of the people on here are fair weather fans. If there are fair weather Brewer fans, then so be it, it's not like we're the Red Sox. If people wanna get hyped up about Milwaukee baseball, let em. They'll help fill the seats, and wether they know what they are talking about or not, I can't remember the last time so many people have been excited about Brewers baseball. A few weeks ago I was at Leff's Lucky Town and the whole place was goin crazy about the Crew. I've watched plenty of games there, and been there many weekend nights, and that Mets game that we lost was the loudest the place had ever been. Even though we lost that game, I felt Brewermania was coming around, and it ruled. If people wanna support the Brewers let em! Milwaukee shouldn't take a franchise for granted, but, I'd much rather see people be fair weathered to a home team then caring more about say Cleveland.
  4. Vgmastr, I am jealous of you. I missed EVERY single one of the kids first homeruns live cuz of other stuff goin on. Today, I'm kickin myself the most though. My friends and I were goin to play baseball at 4. I wanted to stop and get a Gatorade. I pulled into the the gas station as Hart was coming up, and considered listening to his at bat. I was running late and went in, as I was walking back to my car, my buddie text messaged me "COREY HART!!!" and I knew I missed it. Great win tonight, myself and Grotzoro's hard night of drinking as we fell into "Brewer Depression" paid off. Here's to an exciting week on the road.
  5. if we don't get a run here, my monitor will be thrown out of this second floor window.
  6. Get Capellan ready...he can get his first major league hold.
  7. 104 pitches for Davis, 73 of em for strikes He'll get an ND too, jesus.
  8. We can get another run back Griffey's stroke is as close to perfect as ya can get. Last night this guy we tailgated with said he thought Griffey was a jerk. That's silly, to me he's among the classiest in the league.
  9. Did it look like Doug slipped or possibly pulled something on the way to third? I hope it's nothing.
  10. I love watchin games on Telemundo Davis is .140 at the prom, I woulda killed to have those odds in high school.
  11. Davis has got it goin on today, and the shadows are gonna help him out a lot later...we better get him some runs early. Granted it's very early, but we can't let this performance go to waste.
  12. Hudson also posted an ERA close to 8. Pitchers ERA's againt the Brewers mean nothing I've realized
  13. It's Overbay bobblehead night. He'll light it up. I'm 0-4 in my last four appearances at Miller Park. This could be because the last time I saw Turnbow get a save at the Keg I got one of his player tees. I've worn it to every game since, and he hasn't had a save opp. Tonight, I will wear my Podsednik jersey, which can't jinx anything, except the White Sox.We're also playing the Reds. Everything above points to victory and turning this bus around. Either that, or this team will quickly turn me into an alcoholic.
  14. Are the Brewers just Milwaukee's version of a dirty trick? Seriously, if you were at the game, it was the most depressing thing ever. The crowd was intense in the 8th, then suckerpunched by 3 guys, all to the jaw. It was brutal. I love Turnbow, I go nuts for him no matter what, and when he came out, I didn't even care. Can those jazz guys outside play taps when we lose, especially like this? What a joke.
  15. I just got back from the game, and read a lot of this thread before deciding to reply, everyone agreed we gotta keep mistakes to a minimum... 1) Top 2: Weeks error, didn't matter, we got the DP to get out of it. 2) Top 4: Weeks got the cutoff from Clark (I think, I couldn't tell who threw it, I was in the RF Bleachers), then just kinda lolly gagged the throw to 2nd, could have gotten Pujols easy if he just turned and fired. That's the idea of a cutoff, right? It cost us a run. 3) Bottom 4: Bat Magruder with the bases juiced?!?! I read a lot of people saying to save yer better hitters for later. You think runs are gonna come easy against this team? You gotta take every opportunity to score runs no matter what inning it is. 4) Top 8: Clark needs to forget the runner and go to the cutoff, it led to a second run scoring and taking the crowd out of the game (except those yelling at Clark in the bleachers). It led to a run. 4.5) Bottom 8: This one can be argued, but I hit Hall here, Branyan will try to tie it up, Hall looks for the base hit to score Hardy. I'm not really concerned with batting Durrington in the top of the order, if he reaches, he's a threat to steal second. I just hope we can rebound and win tomorrow. I have faith in Sheets on Wednesday. On a side note Eveland did a nice job in relief, but used a LOT of pitches that first inning, something liike 28. He only needed 9 or 10 in the 6th.
  16. I have a fake date for the game tonight, which is cool, but she's a huge Cards fan, which is not. I'm gonna have a great time hecklin her if we can pull this off. If Santos can throw 6 quality innings and not make many mistakes, we can beat Morris. That lineup, no matter how used to it I am, is still just scary. Get it done Brew Crew!!! Corey
  17. Rule #1: Never get nervous with Turnbow on the hill. Let's hope Santos can keep us in there tomorrow. I really wish Wednesday's matchup could be at night...I really wanna see Sheets take on Mulder. We don't gotta face Carpenter in this series, I think we can be in good shape the next few days.
  18. Great outing Ohka!!! GET THE BOW READY!!!!
  19. What are the ribbons for today? Boys and Girls Club? Sidenote: Derrek Lee is now second in average under my guy Miguel Carbrera...keep it up Miggy
  20. rough night for Cap, i'd be amazed if he can get a no decision out of this somehow, but tonight wasn't his night.
  21. These guys just seem very monotone and not too emotional. They don't come off with the same chemistry of Bill and Darron, no stories, no jokes, nothing. And also, the game is now tied
