  1. "that is as bad as the Brewers have played all spring long" - Bob Uecker
  2. I dunno, I get all my Brewers stuff signed at free signings. Billy Hall signed for free last year a few times, and I got him 4 times in an hour at the Fan Zone. I got Prince there twice for free too. Keep a lookout at the Brewers Dugout (Brookfield Square) and the Fanzone for those places are free signings. I don't necisarilly want to pay for someone's autograph unless it's a HOFer. 25 bucks for each of these guys can get you someone like Bob Gibson if he were to come to town (that's what I payed for him at Cooperstown). The only guy I might do it for would be Sheets, then I know I'd get it on the sweet spot. Is he pretty good about signing the sweet spot if you request it? I was in line for him once for a team ball, and saw him sign a ball, then realized the guy was wearing his jersey, and signed his jersey for him too without the guy asking, I thought that was pretty cool.
  3. Is there a way to look back at your inbox to read messages besides the 6 that are listed or do those just get deleted? I'm trying to find an email address for someone to paypal them money for a bobblehead, and i'm pretty sure they sent it to me, but I can't really check...thanks
  4. how much money did all that cost? it's pretty neat though, i'd make a shrine with those cards in there
  5. Here it goes, I need to get a better shelving system for my bobblheads, but it looks like I'll be moving in June, so I'm not gonna build anything until I find out what my living space will look like, I'm pretty impressed by everyone's collections...I want that Bernie Brewer bank Jason!!! http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/3249/allro0.jpg The quality of lighting isn't that great in my basement so the names are hard to read/recognize, I've got a lot of HOFers, but my prized baseballs are Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, Stan Musial, Bob Gibson, and my 1990 Brewers team ball (the first ball I ever got, which I won in some drawing) http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/7237/baseballs1zu6.jpg http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/9900/baseballs2xt6.jpg http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/8929/bobblesqc5.jpg My dad collects beer cans and gave me those Cubs ones, I didn't go outta my way for those, but I don't wanna get rid of em either http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/3382/windowuz4.jpg My dad recently gave me those two cards, one was for Warren Spahn's 2nd no hitter (which my dad saw on his birthday), the other is for Spahn's 300th win http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/7131/bravesdf9.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/6741/braves2jm0.jpg http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/6307/jerseyssd0.jpg My dad just found all of these that he had saved, if anyone has these or can find the article for game 7, all the writers basically already were handing the series to the Brewers because Sutton was on the hill, even the other pitcher said something to the effect of "It's a huge mismatch, but anything can happen" http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/2811/papersmj3.jpg http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/4654/picsnk8.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/8638/robinnolancv4.jpg These are the scorecards from Nolan Ryan's 300th win, and Robin Yount's 3000th hit http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/3910/scorecard1cp5.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/4828/scorecard2ln3.jpg This is a homemade scorecard that my great uncle made for the 1958 world series, Spahn Vs Ford, Spahn was dealing! http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/5615/scorecard3wo9.jpg The scorecard from Billy Hall's walk off on Mothers Day, I asked him to add "Clutch" on there http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/4630/scorecard4mi0.jpg http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/1605/scorecard5wv3.jpg This is the scorecard from the Yankees Cubs game where Wood and Clemens faced off as 20K guys, both going for milestones of sorts (Clemens 300w, 4000k's, Wood looking for win 50), best baseball game I've ever attended http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/7169/scorecard7dq2.jpg Brewers socks! There's also a 45 with the calling of "The Shot Heard Round The World", and that piece of paper is a betting slip my friend found in a book he got at Half Priced books, it's from Game 5 of the Brewers and Angels series, there's no value or anything to it, but it's still pretty neat. http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/2627/stuffet3.jpg
  6. He was also confusing Orlando Cabrera with Miguel Cabrera...I had to check the lineup online on that one...I was thinking "WHEN DID THIS TRADE HAPPEN?!?!" I still love the guy, how can you not?
  7. Corey Hart throws out Pedro!!! Man, I missed The Uke...this is gonna be the best Sunday I've had in awhile
  8. Is the game on 620 or just online? I thought the official title was: The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Near Disneyland In California On The West Coast Of The United States Of America On Earth
  9. Pogo, I can help ya out!!! Lemme know what you think, and you can inbox me if you want more stuff, I can probably give you bands all day you might not have heard of, and I don't wanna take up too much of the boards space, hah Most of these aren't straight up punk rock like Rancid, but I'm not 15 anymore and either are you, so I'm sure you'll appreciate em all the same Right now, I'm all about (with links so you can check em on myspace!) The Marked Men Thomas Function The Epoxies Toys That Kill The Briefs Scared Of Chaka This Is My Fist! The Ergs! Some GREAT Wisconin bands The Leghounds Chinese Telephones Catholic Boys FINALLY, check out my band, these are rough mixes, but we have a 7" due out by the end of February... Louis Tully
  10. pogo, I have the Scientists album on CDR somewhere, it's really good...the track that stood out for me the most was Bet Ya Lyin' Check out the Carpettes, there's obvious Clash influence...my favorites are the Starjets, 20/20, the Beat, the Plimsouls, Elton Motello, and the Keys...there's a bunch more I can't think of right now, but try to track down any of those, you won't regret it!!!
  11. For the most part, the only music I ever buy anymore is vinyl. Sometimes I'll buy cds from my friends, but mostly I just have someone burn something for me. I'll buy local releases (Goodnight Lovin, Beach Patrol, Chinese Telephones, Bear Proof Suit, Catholic Boys, Quest For Fire, The Kind Of Jazz Music That Kills, Get Rad, Call Me Lightning), but besides that I generally only get an album by a touring band if I know it'll be hard to find down the road and they really blow my mind. I've been pretty broke the last year or so, so I take my chances downloading bands. None of em are at any type of level like Metallica that would sue, so I'm not concerned about that. With that being said, the only albums I think I got this year are The Ergs! - DorkRockCorkRod Marked Men - Fix My Brain I got used stuff on vinyl, mostly all power pop
  12. Are the Sox 100% committed to giving Papelbon a starting job? I know he had a shoulder problem late in the season, and that he would rather be a starter, but, has there been any for sure update on this? If he is going to be a starter, I think we could get Pena for less than Cordero. As said by many, Turnbow and someone else could get it done.
  13. I'd be for this as well, however, the Marlins will not put that kind of money down on either Sheets or Jenkins. Jenkins is too inconsistent, and I'm sure the Marlins organization would be too worried about his health to chance putting a guy with his recent history on their team. They're a young scrappy team, and next year could really shake things up in their division. Hell, they almost made it this year.
  14. Can someone lemme know how to pronounce Yo's name? I would believe it's Guy-Ar-Doh, but any clarity would help. I'm excited to see this kid in the near future, he's all I heard about last year, I just pray he doesn't get any injuries or breeze through the Minors and then completely fall apart as another 40 man guy on our roster.
  15. This is good for a laugh...lots of good wii malfunctions... Wii Have A Problem
  16. whoa!!!! i personally would love that deal if it wasn't too costly...if we landed him, id definately try to keep up with teh Baldelli deal
  17. Since there is talks about Baldelli already, and for the sake of boredom, what do you think would it take to get both these guys? Im sure the Rays have no interest in getting rid of Kazmir, but if we could make a deal they couldn't turn down what would it be? Same deal for Baldelli plus Weeks and Jenkins is that too little?
  18. From Rotoworld: The Phillies are showing interest in Kevin Mench, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The paper speculates that Jon Lieber could be part of a deal for Mench. Mench has also been the subject of trade talks with the Orioles, but Baltimore is now reportedly more interested in Geoff Jenkins.
  19. I would imagine that the O's haven't given up on Daniel Cabrera yet. I might rather see him and Maddux hook up so Cabrera puts on one helluva display at Miller Park. His stuff can be untouchable, he tore it up in the WBC. Unfortunately that didn't carry over to his MLB season. But he can get nasty, unfortunately, I'm sure the O's will want to stick to they're 6' 7" guy and hope he becomes the next Big Unit
  20. I'd love to see Penny here. He had 189 IP last year, I'm sure a few rough starts is what caused him from getting to 200. However, should we focus on trying to get a lefty? Granted a guy like Penny would take the place of Vargas and be a 2 or 3 guy in the rotation, but right now, we have 2 lefties in the entire staff. Cappy and Shouse. Zach Jack is coming up maybe he'll be here by the end of May, who knows? But should we try to fill the void we lost with Davis by finding a solid starting lefty? I'm not saying we get Zito or anything ridiculous, but some guy to put near the back of the rotation with a 4 ERA , and a descene WHIP. Would that be more important than another righty starter? I'm pretty sure with our OF cluster going on, we'll get another lefty or two in the pen, but how important is it to have 2 lefties in the rotation?
  21. So what does Zito get being a lefty? 17? 19? I really shouldn't have quit little league to play soccer in 8th grade.
  22. I walked away from the game when Cappy Jr gave up that bomb to go to the bars. I feel I made some good posts on the major league forum, including my new found "man love" for Corey Hart. I've got about 12 high lifes in me, but I'm really happy I got Corey's autograph at Spring Training 2 years ago cuz I'd like to feel someday it will be worth a fortune, especially the way he's hitting the ball right now. PS, I heard Davis, Hall, and Cirillo like to go to the Y-Not 2 after losses when they don't play a day game. Maybe that shouldn't be givin out, but I know a few people that have seen them there a few times. A buddy of mine ran into Weeks, Hall, and Cirillo at the Hi-Hat one night, but none of them would accept a drink from my die hard Brewers fan buddy (which I can respect, cuz these guys can afford their own drinks and don't wanna deal with drunken fans for the rest of the night)
  23. Is Bill Hall hurt?!?! I was grabbing dinner and then Powell said he's down...Say it ain't so!
