Let Ashby leave feeling good about himself and get some work for Williams and Boxberger, who haven’t pitched for a few days, and Hader who is returning from his Covid break with only 1 mop up inning. Is it still a requirement in a 7 inning game for the starter to go 5 innings to get the win? I think so but not sure…….maybe they cut it to 4?

BA does National games on the weekend so you won’t see him much on Saturdays or Sundays. Rock,is 63 now and has had some recent health issues…….I think he is just scaling back his schedule to include some time off during the season now.

I never assume anything…….Reds have an easy schedule and are playing well. Realistically the Padres should be a lot more nervous then the Brewers…….at least right now.

I remember when they were trying to get the funding for Miller Park……and of course these things always are difficult…….there was some discussion at the time to not do the roof to save money……and my thought at the time was…..” Then just don’t build it” It was so obvious to me that the roof was a game changer……especially in this climate.
