So you think both Hiura and Rowdy are going down leaving us with only Jace as a first baseman and backup infielder? That doesn’t seem likely…….maybe JBJ will turn an ankle or something but other then that I just can’t see 5 outfielders……unless a pitcher gets sent down?
Some @Brewers injury stuff: - If the weekend goes well, Lo Cain returns next week in Pittsburgh - Boxberger (shoulder) is “good to go,” CC said. - Williams (elbow) throws a ‘pen tomorrow. Trending well. - Shaw (shoulder), Vogelbach (hamstring) begin rehab assignments next week.
Every season there seems to be at least 1 crappy team that we can’t beat…..even if we are good. Good thing we only play the Royals once more. The numbers don’t show it as far as ops but it sure seems like we struggle more vs lefties…….could really use another right handed power bat at first base. Oh well…….Go Bucks!
1st-rder Sal Frelick signs w/@Brewers for $4 million (pick 15 value = $3,885,800). Boston College OF, one of top hitters in @MLBDraft class, plus-plus speed & quality CF too. Batted .359/.443/.559 w/13 SB this spring, ACC defensive player of the year.
Seeing that they are playing the Royals, I'd bet Cain is activated today, and we'll see him out in CF. After playing nine innings for the first time on rehab, Lorenzo Cain is going to continue to play at Triple-A Nashville for now. "He's doing great health-wise," Craig Counsell said.
What a great weekend for Milwaukee sports fans. Reds had gotten themselves close enough after the last series to be dangerous……..Brewers step up and sweep them……7 game lead sounds really good.
