  1. Corey Knebel will be activated this weekend, per Counsell. He threw Monday and yesterday. "He felt good, good results, velocity was up from the Monday outing," Counsell said.
  2. Is a hitter coming off the DL soon? I wouldn't be surprised if Vogelbach is gone by the end of next week. Like I posted before, this seems like a claim just to have a guy on the roster they can easily dump when they need to. Not that I'm aware of. Anybody you claim at this point can be easily dumped........If all they wanted was a guy who was easily dumpable they could have just kept Smoak. They are taking a flyer on a guy who is younger and under control so if they see something they like they have an option to keep him without paying him 4 million next season. He may be gone in a week....but if he is it will be because somebody else became available that they wanted to take a look at.
  3. Sogard plays vs righties.......this move will have no bearing in him getting more playing time. The only guy who we know will get more time is Gyorko.....which is what many people were asking for anyway.
  4. geez, that is just great... Sogard will play but certainly not nearly every day. You will see Arcia, Hiura and Urias covering the infield along with Jedd against lefties with Braun at DH. Mathias can also play infield if needed. Sogard will play vs righties just like he was before is my guess.
  5. He got what he could for Aguilar....unless you know of better offers that he turned down?..he had no options left and was slumping so bad that he wasn’t playing for us anymore. He was designated for assignment by Tampa after the season ...nobody thought he was worth trading for so he ended up going to the Marlins on waivers.
  6. He did have a 16.5% walk rate last season .......behind only Trout, Bergman and Grandal.
  7. Shows how misleading small samples can be.........and yet we fans fall,in love quickly when a guy has a good 30 games and give up on guys just as quickly when they don’t. Especially this year.....lol
  8. He’s been worse then Smoak this season........
  9. I swear Narvaez could tell them it was coming and they couldn’t hit it
  10. 9 walks and 2 hbps.........so many chances to blow this one open
  11. “ Smoak doesn’t have that great of speed” Understatement of the century
  12. Why are the Tigers trying to hit the edges against our lineup? Any ideas?
  13. The lefties continue to kill our right handed starters ....especially Houser and Lindblom.
  14. Nothing gives a struggling offense hope like getting down early in what seems like every game
  15. He’s not on the IL because anybody that they would bring up isn’t good enough to play and with the DH the extra bench spot isn’t critical. With the off day tomorrow he might be ready to go as soon as Friday for all we know.
  16. From the thread yesterday......I would say Gyorko has worked out!
  17. You have to respect the honesty Josh Lindblom: "To be frank, I thought I sucked tonight. I don't know if I was ahead in the count the entire night."
  18. I will be very surprised if they end up being one.
  19. Like I said early in the thread.......I can’t believe the Brewers were a -200 favorite in this game.......
