    Braun needs the maintenance, even if he's the best option. I imagine Cain is still dealing with that thumb a bit, at the very least it's probably sore from the injections still. I'll be curious how he looks after the all-star break. I imagine it will be better before then, but he'll also be able to give his body a rest. And Braun is 2-11 against Archer with no XBH. Probably figured if they were going to give him a day off at some point in the next 3 games might as well be today. Ps Cain with 1.100 ops vs Archer in his career

    Can’t say they didn’t give Shaw enough time to straighten himself out. Saladino to replace Cain on the 25 man? Cain to IR? I agree.....they wanted to give Shaw every chance......I'm ok with that. I think the Cain speculation makes sense......he didn't look right again today.

    He basically said we have 2 guys that helped us win a lot of games the last 2 years.....1 was an all star and 1 has hit over 30 homers twice.....we want them to succeed.....we need them.....but they have to produce......if they don't then changes will be made. Not sure why anyone would have a problem with what he said......

    I was excited about Burnes.....not so much on Peralta.....but I agree....I'm not second guessing too much....it just hasn't worked.....it happens....I thought Burnes was going to be good.....and he was awful......I'm not blaming Stearns at all for that........Hook worked well with all those guys in the minors too.......hard to make sense of why Woodruff has blossomed but nobody else has.
