The part where teams don’t change the lineup but play even better in the 2nd half anyway. If we add someone great…….if we don’t it doesn’t mean the season is doomed. You left out another option…..a team is down 2 at the half……coach changes defense and decides to replace a player who had a tough first half…….and then they get blown out in the 2nd half. hypotheticals are fun but they don’t mean anything. let’s see what happens……I have faith in Matt Arnold…….we all should.

Or the team is winning at half time…..goes into the locker room……coach says we’ve played well but we can play better if we do this and this …..and then they come out in the 2nd half and win the game. Both things happen…..but only one fits your narrative. ps and halftime isn’t over yet……2 1/2 hours to go.

Other teams aren’t looking for “ iffy prospects “ for the kind of upgrades people want………….its a sellers market. Im sure Arnold is willing to give up some prospects……but that doesn’t mean other teams are willing to give us what we want for those prospects.

No he’s a person that will take calculated risks but wants to be smart about it. Big market teams can afford to unload prospects and then just replace them in free agency……….we can’t do that. If Arnold has proven anything it’s that he usually knows what he’s doing. Lets see what happens.

lol at comparing Henderson to Small …..just stop……..Small was never good……Henderson has excelled at every level im not saying they shouldn’t move him……but let’s at least be honest about what we are moving. 6 years of control vs 2 months. Ps there is the other end of that spectrum too…….Suarez could struggle once acquired and then leave…….its happened many times before with trade deadline rentals. Plus he’s a poor defender.

Yeah I see no chance they are moving Sal……he’s been great and the whole chemistry thing would be horrible. I agree that if they somehow got Kwan it would be to move Collins to 2nd and Turang to SS. There just is no way they are going to give up significant pieces to replace Collins with Kwan…….Kwan is very good……but Collins has been fantastic…..and he’s a switch hitter. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Come on with this……every manager is taking him out with Suzuki up there and PCA on deck…… If Yoho walks Suzuki and then PCA runs into one against Trevor people would have been calling for Murphy head. I was ok letting him pitch the 9th…..but walking 2 guys on pitches that weren’t close with the meat of the order coming up made it an easy call going to Trevor. fortunately he only had to throw 3 pitches

I haven’t given up him…..his stuff looks really good…….but as of yet he just can’t be counted on to throw strikes……..and if you can’t throw strikes you can’t be a relief pitcher in a pennant race. I think he will figure it out……but I just don’t trust him yet.

I wonder if he fact that he threw on Saturday and got hot again yesterday made him unavailable tonight……that’s all I can figure
