  1. "I haven’t seen many hit that high on the scoreboard. One from Prince and one from Russell Branyan come to mind, that’s about it. Sexton had one way up there too I think. For the media attention. We blew a lead just last year and blew one what 4 years ago much bigger. Cubs are very good and only 1.5 games out. It is what it is, just keep winning. It all kinda just sucks we're in the NL, even with this great record they're only like 5 up on the WC." I think it's mostly because we have a bunch of no name guys. They just aren't going to be impressed when you're lineup,is filled with waiver claims and triple a call ups.....no,matter how good they are playing.
  2. Why would you question that? I have no idea......lol This guy has been unhittable......this is amazing
  3. I remember how pumped up everyone was the first time we called Saladino up......lol
  4. It's kind of scary to think of how much better the Astros could be than they already are. So,I guess this is how non big market teams get top,of the rotation starters......you trade for high upside guys before they become aces.
  5. The guy has ace written all over him. Mid first round draft choice that the Astros traded away in a package for Gattis
  6. Even Thames making plays......most outfielders would have caught that without needing to dive but I'll,take it.....lol
  7. Surprised they were giving up the line for Freeman.....must not pull the ball much
  8. Beasley signed per Brewers PD Final draft signings: Turang (1), Howell (12), Olson (13), Matulovich (20) & Beasley (24). Total players signed: 30. 22 drafted players signed and 8 after the draft.
  9. Will they boo him like they do Braun?
  10. So this is at least 3 first rounders that didn't sign this year.......not such a sure thing after all that everybody signs It's official. No. 8 overall pick Carter Stewart did not sign with @Braves. Mississippi State recruit, as is unsigned @Dodgers 1st-rder J.T. Ginn. @MLBDraft
  11. From the "silver lining" dept, Suter's injury is only muscular. Doc told him UCL is fine. Muscle tightened up on him on a pitch in the 1st inning of his latest start. He said it's minor but could get worse easily if they push it. He's disappointed to have to hit the DL though.
  12. Diamondbacks first rounder also not signing........https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/07/dbacks-first-round-pick-matt-mclain-wont-sign-college-ucla.html
  13. I think it is probably his injury at play. He is on pace for 21 HR, 19 SB, 98 R, .830 OPS over a full season not including the DL stint which made him miss over 10% of the season. He maybe didn't take the step up people thought he would be he is at least on pace for a normal year. Not sure what people are expecting. 830 ops would be 2nd best of his career, He is on pace to tie his career high in hrs, BA and OBP right at his career average. Seems pretty good to me And add in that he is an excellent base runner and a very good versatile outfielder
