  1. Latest is that Cain will not be activated Weds.
  2. Millers defensive shortcomings showing n that inning......very lucky it didn't cost us.
  3. What will Broxton's defensive runs saved count be after tonight? My goodness
  4. That hurts This team scored a bunch against the Cubs too.....at some point your offense has to show up
  5. Pitched great last outing but ended up giving up 4 runs after they got to Hader.
  6. Cubs offense on fire now......Brewers beat up, not scoring and giving up runs in bunches from our b/c team bullpen guys. Lead down to 1/2 a game. Need to get Cain and Yelich back quickly
  7. I was hoping for a split when the series started........looks like that's what we'll get. Freddy was due for a clunker
  8. I'm sure some of you saw this play but wow...... https://slate.com/culture/2018/07/vince-velasquez-left-handed-throw-the-phillies-pitcher-is-hit-by-a-line-drive-but-throws-the-runner-out.html
  9. I think Peralta and Burnes both have top of the rotation upside. Even with Degrom we are far from the favorites to win the division much less the World Series which should be our ultimate goal. Next season we could have a terrific rotation with Nelson, Peralta, and Burnes in it and the lineup should be so much better with Hiura at second base. Looking at the big picture we will be much better off in future seasons by keeping the system intact. Hiura really looks like our only impact bat even close to the majors. We just cannot afford to give that up. Yes Degrom is great but he has a lot of tread on the tires and pitchers get hurt so often that the risks of trading a potential star bat like Hiura plus Peralta and Burnes is just too risky. The Yelich trade was much more understandable because he is a young position player with 5 years of control vs 2.5 of Degrom. I don't understand this need every time we are decent to go all in. We aren't losing anyone important after the season and have a potential star in Hiura plus some nice pitching that will contribute next season. Bottom line to me is just stay the course. Go out and get good rentals like Asdrubral Cabrera and a bullpen arm like we did last year with Swarzak. Those rental deals cost us nearly nothing last year and we can do that again this season without mortgaging any of our future. Well said
  10. Degrom was selected in the 9th round. Corey Klueber 4 TH round. Neither one of those guys profiled as a TOR starter when drafted but they ended up there. Lots of Hall of Fame pitchers were not drafted in the top 10 picks. You find TOR starters before they become TOR starters......especially when you are a small market team.
  11. Nottingham with another big game tonight. I wish we would give him a shot up here now that he is healthy again.
  12. Rosiak Craig Counsell said Zach Davies had to leave his rehab start at Class A Wisconsin tonight with a lower-back issue. He won’t be joining the Brewers in Cincinnati tomorrow as was originally planned.
  13. Back to 15 games over for the 6th or 7th time I think. Can they get over the hump and get to 16?
