Thames to DL.....Woodruff recalled from AAA
markedman5 replied to markedman5's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I would say TrW is probably pretty accurate in his timeline -
Brewers twitter 1B Eric Thames has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a tear of the UCL in his left thumb. RHP Brandon Woodruff has been recalled from Triple-A @skysox.

If a bad team wants to give you a game it is rude not to accept.......
-
Best at bat of the year.....I am in awe
-
Once they wild pitched Shaw to 2nd they were going to try and get Thames to chase. Red hot Sogard spoiled that strategy!
-
I wish he would stop hitting bombs so we could DFA him already!
-
Nice to have the gang back together.......and mashing!
-
Hammering Hank......
-
Don't have to use Hader now which is nice.
-
Runs.......lots and lots of runs..... I like it!

Starting to think Medeiros might end up being worth the long wait

2018 Rule 5 Draft Eligible Players
markedman5 replied to Greenleaf1's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
Ok so if a guy isnt protected the only way we lose him is if another team keeps him on the 25 man roster all year? How does the minor league portion of this draft work exactly? Could we lose unprotected guys to another teams minor league system? I guess I just don't see a guy like Gatewood being on somebody's 25 man next season so why protect him? -
I know I'm late to the party but who would have thought before the season that Thames would have been internationally walked with runners on 2nd and 3rd to get to Yelich? He has just killed the Reds but I'm still taking my chances with ET over Yelich. With a base open at least try to get him to chase. It worked out for them

Braun's calf is bothering him again.....not a scheduled day off
-
Ortiz 6 innings 2 hits 1 run 2 walks and 10 ks! Gave up a run in the 10th and too, the L.. ....still nice to see the strikeouts.
-
Yelich not starting so they are easing him back in.

40-man roster discussion (part 2)
markedman5 replied to djoctagone's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Brewer twitter account RHP Alec Asher has been claimed off waivers from Los Angeles and optioned to Triple-A @skysox. With his addition, the 40-man roster is at capacity. -
Nottingham looks like he has some pretty good wheels for a catcher.
-
Well the Oliver Drake era has been fun while it lasted......but I hope it's over
-
This offense without Yelich, Braun, Thames and Pina is really hard to watch. Suter has struggled but our offense has been pretty putrid all season.....thank goodness it is very early
-
Hader thinks he is better in the bullpen....at least for now
-
No it's not..'..he's had 2 days off....we need this win with a loss probably coming tomorrow.... 3 runs can go in a hurry......as we have seen. Maybe they let him finish.....which would be ok too
-
My goodness...
