    The Ramirez deal is a double option so my guess is they will wait until the season is over to talk to AR and see what he is thinking. He might want a multiyear deal which would complicate things.

    RR..."You know Holmberg had really good stuff. Changed speeds and kept us off balance. I know we only had 2 hits in a game we really needed to win but I really liked the approach of our hitters. I thought the home plate ump made it really hard on our guys...calling strikes when the ball was over the plate."

    Our offense continues to be just brutal....4 runs seems like an explosion instead of just an average game

    Tony C got hit in the eye..that is why his career was never the same. His vision was affected. Looked to me like it hit on his cheek, just to the side of his nose. If it caused a cut on his cheek, facial cuts would bleed that much as well. You have to worry about both guys mentally going forward. Stanton won't feel to easy stepping into the box again. Makes me think of Conigliaro (sp?). I sure hope this isn't a career altering injury for Stanton. Loads of talent for that kid.

    RR "You know Penny had good stuff........really got the ball in our hands. We hit some balls hard but they didn't fall in. I really liked our approach" "Yo left some pitches up and they hit him pretty hard but I thought he threw the ball pretty well....other then the 3 or 4 home runs.....I kind of lost count of them to tell you the truth" " I really liked our effort......we'll get them tomorrow"
