Minor baffling the brewers so far. The shift has really hurt the Crew so far this year....lots of grounders that would be outs or even double play balls turning into big hits Marcum looks good.....get him some runs
Payroll is already at 100 million....overpaying for Greinke is not the answer. If he doesn't want to stay at reasonable contract it's Melvin's job to find somebody else. Maybe Garza can be had?
I heard Melvin on the radio today and when asked about Greinke his tone did not give me any optimism. He said that they were going to "leave it until after the season". Gave me the impression that they were far apart and it there was no point in continuing to talk. I was hoping that Zack really wanted to stay enough that top dollar wouldn't be the overriding factor. Makes you appreciate Braun, Corey and Rickie that much more.

I know many here don't like long term deals for closers. As always it depends on the money and years but I've always liked AX. Glad he wants to be a Brewer for life. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/02/brewers-axford-talking-extension.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
I can't keep track of all the new corporate names on these parks.......I honestly still thought it was called Tiger stadium even though I know its a new park.
I was watching a little of the press conference. At one point Prince was asked about living up the contract and he said...."I just want to play hard......I think thats why the Brewers......I mean the Tigers...sorry....wanted me here" I will always view him as a Brewer......hope he does great in the AL.

All he said was its possible the brewers would have still won the division with Capuano(or another decent replacment). Nobody said it was Marcum's fault that he didn't get run support or for the pen blowing leads.
I doubt braun has any interest in moving to first. Hart has some experience there and is 6'6. Bottom line....its likely that both of them will be in the outfield this year but if anyone moves it will almost assuardly be Hart.
"That's where Braun hit when he came up." My memory might be fuzzy but as I recall Braun hit 3rd almost immediatly when called up. He may have had a few at bats in the 2nd spot but he wasn't primarly the 2 hitter as a rookie. Or am I mistaken?
Cash flow is more important then market value. Nobody knows what the true market value is until a team is sold and since MLB really doesn't want the teams moving the small market teams are still going to be limited.
