  1. it's amazing how many times we fail to get a guy in from 3rd with less then 2 outs......Maybe Luc needs to hit 4th instead of 5th..............
  2. Estrada has given up the most hrs in the league......not a good stat to lead the league in.....
  3. I saw this in the paper today and it struck me as odd. So we were having great success in pitching Pujols inside and then for whatever reason(becasue Larussa plunked Braun? really?) we stop doing it and he kills us in the playoffs? I mean seriously? Roenicke then used how the Brewers pitched former St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols in 2011 as an example. "We had the issue with Pujols, where we got him out inside last year," he said, referring to Pujols going 5 for 42 against Milwaukee before catching fire late in the season. "We stopped pitching him inside, and he started killing the ball against us. "Well, we probably should have kept pitching him inside."
  4. It had to be done...now lets hope they start hitting. After years of being fun to watch this team has been boring...............
  5. Does Rickie know that fastballs on the outside corner are still strikes and you should probably swing at them with 2 strikes and guys on 2nd and 3rd with one out?
  6. it's amazing how pitchers who give up runs to everyone else are all of the sudden "on there game" against the brewers...... what a coincidence it must be.........
  7. Nothing like a 3 strike out inning against Jay Happ to get you feeling good about the offense.......
  8. "but I wouldn't be opposed to sending him down for a couple weeks- and he shouldnt be opposed to that either. " As I recall Rickie was really PO the last time he was sent down and I doubt he would feel much differently now that he has made an All Star team. I just don't see Triple A as an option he would be on board with and aren't there restrictions on doing that after you have been in the bigs for a certain amount of time?
  9. Yeah its amazing. We are 6th in the league in runs scored but we have no consistency. Cards have out scored us by 49 runs in only 37 games! On the other end of the spectrum we have given up 181 runs....in the same number of games Washington has given up 121. Even with the terrible offense the terrific pitching is carrying them.
  10. Watching these guys hit is almost as painful as watching Wolf pitch.
  11. if Peralta comes up I hope they stick Wolf in the pen.......bury him in long relief......he just isn't good enough anymore.....walks way too many guys and can't get away with mistakes.
  12. Wolf pitches just like Doug Davis now.........it's just awful to watch a guy who has no confidence in his stuff.
  13. He wanted to take the hit for his team...... http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120515&content_id=31370926&vkey=news_nym&c_id=nym
  14. wow....http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8xkwqgnxnOY/T7MJKD0wgmI/AAAAAAAAD3Y/NUkLPbSH2vA/s1600/Lawrie-Smash.gif
  15. How many scoreless innings in a row is that for Greinke? ps. Yes a hbp helps your OBP.
  16. Not sure how this compares to other teams or how the brewers have done in the past but I decided to look at how often we have had below average run production(I defined it as 3 runs or less) and how we have done in those games Not surprising it isn't a pretty picture. 18 times already(we have only played 35 games) we have scored 3 runs or less and the record in those games is a pathetic 3-15. I'm too lazy to do the research on how this compares to last year or how other teams are doing in low scoring games. ps. I took a quick look at the Cards....2-10 in games they scroed 3 runs or less.
  17. Hamilton? lol.....He will be looking for Pujols money next year. Not going to happen.
  18. Almost a quarter of the way through the season and the only position that is out producing expecations is catcher. Braun and Hart are about average for them. Everybody else either are unrpoven or marginal major league players or massively under performing. I'm talking every day players not pitchers. Throw in the horrid performance of the pen and you get the results you are seeing
  19. This is just a bad baseball team right now....no way to sugercoat this.
  20. This is like watching the Nashville sounds not the Milwaukee brewers.
  21. How many times does Hart guess with 2 strikes and go down looking?
  22. wow.....0? the top of the order has just killed us all year.......
