  1. Of course you do....but what you or I think makes no difference its what MA thinks that counts. No evidence to suggest that he will go to 100 Million but I guess we can always hope.
  2. That pitching staff is scary bad..............
  3. " So for Greinke we would get nothing. " Since Greinke will be with us for 2 years before he hits free agency we would still be compensated.
  4. The reason is obvious. Halladay was the best pitcher on the best team. "Valuable" equates with winning for many voters.
  5. Last off season Green was an unknown coming off an injury and the organization had moved Gamel from 3rd to first because he couldn't play 3rd and they knew they would need a first baseman when Fielder left. Mcgehee was coming off a big year and was cheap......maybe we should have sold high on Braun after his rookie year? Hindsight is always 20/20. Last off-season would have been a great time to trade McGehee ... unexpected big year and Green and Gamel waiting in the wings. Hardy's trade value was much higher earlier in his career than when we ultimately traded him, and we knew we had other SS options. Hall was traded at a super low point, definitely missed an opportunity to sell high on him, too.
  6. Marcum, Greinke, Axford http://www.mlbtraderumors...rfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  7. Braun's only natural position is in the batter's box with a bat in his hands. Weeks would be a disaster at ss.
  8. Chen will be much cheaper then Wolf so not sure that comparison holds water. No way Chen gets 2 years 20 million which is what you would pay Wolf over that span. Not to mention getting someone as a free agent is always interesting because you don't have to give anything up. I think you would be underwhelmed by the return we would get for Wolf.
  9. Brewers meeting with Barmes's agent on Weds per Mccalvy
  10. Mccalvy aslo says that Wilson/Stetter will not be back and that Melvin strongly hinted that Gamel will be the first baseman. https://twitter.com/#!/AdamMcCalvy
  11. Is he even healthy enough to pitch?
  12. This is just Olney speculating that the brewers could be a fit for him. No rumor no story.
  13. So Larussa said "Motte" but the guy heard "Lynn" (who TL said before the game was unavailable)?..... Hard to keep stories straight when you are covering your ass.
  14. Oswalt will almost certainly resign with Philly at a lower number. 2 of those isn't very possible. Lidge could certainly be had....Reyes is very unlikely.
  15. The Rangers held them down both games in St Louis as well. If you honestly think that Holland with his dominating stuff didn't pitch better then Marcum and Greinke tonight then you are kidding yourself. http://twitter.com/#!/SI_JonHeyman/status/128316967286353920 The Rangers are pitching better then the brewers did and it has little to do with the umpires. All umps miss pitches.
  16. Brewers may have had an agreement with him(when they gave him the 500k) that he would decline arby.
  17. Not sure what you are saying? The Rangers pitching has controlled or shutdown the Cards in 3 of the 4 games. Last night was ugly but it was only 1 game......
  18. If we can't afford to sign Prince we sure as heck aren't going to be able to sign Pujols..................
  19. Why would Atlanta trade one of their good young pitchers for Hart when they could just sign Cuddyer(for less momey) and keep them both?
  20. I think Melvin just continued to defend himself by praising Yuni. He took tons of heat for choosing to fill the SS hole with Yuni and he's not going to say "I should have gotten somebody better".
  21. Melvin says not going to happen
  22. Hart isn't moving to first http://twitter.com/#!/Haudricourt/status/126725408640077824
  23. Hart is showing signs of decline as an outfielder not a hitter. He could always be moved to leftfield or first base.
  24. When you are down 6 runs and your season is coming to an end guys tend to sit down. If the Brewers were winning I have little doubt the cards would have been sitting down in the dugout and the Brewers would have been on the rail.
  25. Never thought I would see any pitcher dominate Braun the way Dotel does even if it is a small sample.
