  1. So Verlander has now set a career high for strike outs..... At least it took him 6 innings to do it..........http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif Wow are we pathetic.
  2. Good thing Verlander's not a strike out pitcher or I would be worried by now..............http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif How many pitchers have to get season high for strike outs before Schroeder or Anderson entertain the possibility that it might have something to do with our hitters? I will say Verlander is impressive but other teams manage to get 3 runs a game against him somehow. Right now I'd settle for 3 hits.
  3. Fielder has started every game but one this year. Ned doesn't seem to feel he needs a day off. Why give the kid a day off after an off day when he has been hitting the crap out of the ball? If you want to give him a rest in the field he should be DHing. Outside of Prince he has been our best hitter since he has been up. There will be plenty of time to give him a day off when he goes into a little slump...no need to do it now.
  4. This just in.....things have been going bad for a month now.
  5. make that 5 more solo homers......... I don't mind watching crappy baseball for a week or 2 but this has been going on for over a month now. At least we can count on Ned to tell us that everything is fine after the game. Cappy was just a little off. Billy Hall will break out any day now....yada yada yada......
  6. As long as Prince hits 3 more solo homers we have a chance...................
  7. The Brewers have this nasty habit of making bad pitchers look like Roger Clemons in his prime. If we struggle to score against this sorry pitching staff June may begin to look like May.............http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Hardy is offically in a slump. 4 for 27 in June............yuck.
  8. Does Vargas know that there is no rule in baseball that the lead off hitter has to get on every inning? I mean just get him out once on awhile will ya?
  9. At least if we struggle to score we won't have to hear "we faced a pretty good pitcher tonight" from Ned. Hard to beleive that this is the same team that started 24-10. Bone headed defensive play by Prince and bad pitching again by Vargas.
  10. Ok so its only one game.........but BOY WHAT A GAME!
  11. Just another example of the myth that fielding percentage is a good indicator of good and bad defense. Weeks messes up 2 double plays yet because an out is made no error is charged. Last night Lee is playing so deep that he can't get to what should have been a routine fly ball and when hardy can't make a somehat difficult over the shoulder catch what should have been out becomes a double. This is really a bad defensive team. I'd like to hear the rational on why the brewers play there outfielders one step off the warning track as a normal course of business? Are the number of singles that we give up with the ball falling in front of our outfielders really a more effective way to play defense because we don't give up as many extra base hits? I guess I just don't see other teams play defense that way but then again most teams have a lot more speed in there outfield then we do.
