  1. I will also admit to being a semi-avid Days of Our Lives watcher within the previous 8 years. I don't watch it any more, but if you get into it a little, it is addicting.
  2. Bush is good but not even close to irreplacable and the Brewers will have to thin out their starters via trade at some point anyway. But can you get a better deal once Bush gets better, like many think he will?
  3. Rehabbing LHP Mitch Stetter's ready to head somewhere from Maryvale soon, too. He's going back to AAA, or at least he should. And I don't think they would have promoted DiFelice only to send him back down, because there isn't anyone else on the AAA roster that should be sent to AA. Stetter might go on a further "rehab" assignment, but longterm, one of those guys I listed deserves it.
  4. It is truly remarkable how bad the AZ Brewers have been since their inception. They've had like what, one winning half in about 6-7 years of play? It is getting to the point where I think the Brewers should re-open an academy in the Dominican, ditch the AZL team and get either another short-season rookie ball team, or field a short-season A-ball team for the first time. The AZL team seems worthless to me. Good progress has been made at every other level in the system. What's the best thing to come out of Maryvale in July/August? Hernan Iribarren, who was overmatching the league anyway?
  5. Welch, Wahpepah or Stanczyk would be the three guys I'd guess would be up for promotion.
  6. Wow, what a genius! I was totally caught by surprise that they were actually good. Who's Gallardo?
  7. Anybody interested in starting a petition to get the Cubs on the Young and the Restless? No self-respecting faux-Hollywood fake Wisconsin town would ever employ an actor who would even pretend to root for the Cubs.
  8. If Gallardo is kept in the bullpen for the rest of the year, he'll be able to go with the Brewers to the playoffs. Depending on his total innings, they may be a little careful with him in the first and/or second rounds, but if he's at 180 IP going into the World Series, they might be able to push him an extra few.
  9. I'm listening to the new Interpol right now, and it isn't good. Seems to be a case of diminishing returns with this band... "Turn On The Bright Lights" was near-brilliant, "Antics" was merely very good and now this album might best be described as average.
  10. That's sort of bizarre. I hope the Brewers got a nice chunk of change for him.
  11. Saltalamacchia has some character issues and isn't a top tier catching prospect IMO, but like Pogo said, that's a heckuva haul for Dave Bush. Damien Miller is gone after the season, and I'd really like to have someone that could push Estrada. If Salty could play LF for the time being, he may even allow us to trade Mench+ for bullpen help. I guess I'd have a hard time turning this down, what with Gallardo and Villanueva spinning their wheels (albeit in a valuable way for the team) in the bullpen. Having Parra and Oxspring as viable bottom of the rotation options in AAA makes this even more palatable. In the end, I guess this comes fown to how much you value Dave Bush. Do you think he can get better, to the level many of us think he could pitch at, say a 200 inning, league-average ERA guy, or will he always just be that unlucky guy?
  12. Well, she is hot. My feeling is that, if you're willing to put yourself in the position to be in the public light, to some degree you have to accept where the public light may take you. Of course if she's being harassed that's another matter entirely, but some public exposure that no one but her will remember in 2 years probably isn't the worst thing that will ever happen to her.
  13. The sole two reasons ESPN interests me is American Gladiators on Classic and the HD live sporting events, namely baseball. Their HD cameras made Petco Park look absolutely magical on Sunday. Occasionally I'll watch BBTN just to see if the Brewers are getting any press, but otherwise the station is worthless to me. I do have to hand it to them, tho. With the advent of broadband internet and access to more information than ever on the computer, ESPN has managed to stay legitimate and somewhat relevant without many forays into such things as that celebrity show they had last year.
  14. Ulrich Snidjers has a sweet name. That's all I got for this link report comment.
  15. Rob Bryson has been extraordinarily impressive. I assume he's in the pen to keep his innings down but he might be the next "guy" in WV next year.
  16. I think it's time that we admit that some cartoons arent really kid movies... I'm with you.
  17. Rachael Ray and Giada DeLaurentis on the Food Network, for sure. I like Giada more, but I'm an Italian food geek. I like watching infomercials sometimes too, though I never buy anything. You never know when you're going to see a flashlight/laser/pepper sprayer, or something that cleans out your colon. Yay!
  18. The last 3 minutes of tonight's episode had me in stitches. I was trying to figure out why the episode had the "Nudity" warning, and then, well, there it was.
  19. Another solid show tonight, but I really am left wondering where the show is supposed to go. There doesn't seem to be any sort of endgame (not that there needs to be 5 episodes into a run), and they keep introducing new characters each show. The thing that bothers me most outside of the stilted writing is Shaunie Yost... the actor that plays him is either playing the part completely dead, or the actor is just plain horrible. De Mornay and Greenwood try to act off of him, but nothing happens.
  20. U know i was just thinking Please refrain from "AOL Speak" as outlined in the Three Strikes and You're Out guidelines: p092.ezboard.com/fbrewers...5500.topic
  21. It really just takes a few seconds. Type what you want, and then click "fuchsia" on the "color>>" menu, highlight your post and click "set font".
  22. Have to wonder exactly how bad he'd have been without "illegal substances." Who says losers don't win?
  23. BTW, to post in pink, select "fuchsia" in the menu bar right above the text field, type what you want, highlight it, and then click "set font."
  24. This isn't pink, but it is pretty close. Everyone should post in this color. If we can't beat the Nationals with a pink IGT, IGTs aren't worth having.
