  1. Kudos to whoever predicted this earlier!
  2. Well, maybe another inning? 97 pitches, coming off an injury (albeit a minor injury)... I'd pull him.
  3. Holy crap, good base running abounds!
  4. When he was drafted, he threw in the low-middle 80's, IIRC. Can only assume he's added a few ticks since then, but I don't know for sure.
  5. The probability to go 0-30 then would be (.7)^30 or 0.00002. That's pretty good odds for a zillion dollars. Russ, can I get in on this action too?
  6. I don't think the Twins are going to be in it this year, and they have a number of good bullpen arms. For better or worse, the Twins are stuck on Joe Nathan, so Juan Rincon will have to be dealt pretty soon as he starts to get expensive. He could be had for a very good group of prospects. I'd also be more than willing to look at Matt Guerrier, or Silva as a reliever.
  7. I hope the kids put themselves to sleep and I hope they ate something. Are you talking about your kids or the Brewers? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. -Every team in the organization is in first place. Check. -Yo and Braun are dominating AAA. Check. -Inman is turning into the second coming of, well, Yo. Check. -Angel is back. Check. -Palmisano, Moss and Nelson are showing what for. Check. -Parra, Jones, Harper, Narron and Perkins are all healthy. Check. -Two of my favorite pitching prospects, Garrison and Hinton, are dominating. Check. -No major injuries this year. Check. How much more could you want? It's a great year to be a Brewerfan.
  9. Somewhere in Florida, Will Inman is still pissed.
  10. If we win tomorrow, I'll be happy, but also kind of weird. Might sound selfish, but I wish we weren't the team after the fact.
  11. There's the Carlos Lee I remember.
  12. Some of the same people who critique Vargas' 0 runs given up and label it as a 'bad' outing will be the same people who will defend our 'ace' Sheets when he gives up 6 runs And some won't. Your point?
  13. Trying to say he was bad is just wrong. No, that's a subjective opinion. So is saying that's wrong. Wait, you're allowing us to voice our opinions again? Yay!
  14. Relax, its going to happen. OK... just let us know when it's alright for us to talk about a bad pitching performance. I wait breathlessly.
  15. Man this board is hard to please. I come home to read some of the thread and you would think we are getting blown out and Vargas has given up 10 runs. What, we aren't allowed to voice our opinions if our pitcher is pitching like crap? And yesterday there was some real tough comments in the thread. We got blown out, for chrissakes!
  16. This game is giving me palpitations.
  17. Imagine how Astros fans must feel right now. Oi vey.
  18. What in the hell is Vargas thinking? Throw the ball at JJ. Look and throw.
  19. Here I thought Doug Davis was left-handed.
  20. Groundball. Groundball. Groundball.
