I hate this and honk at people that do it. Granted, I honk at a lot people because I think they are not paying attention to anyone else on the road and it bothers me. Move people!

My friends and I all had the exact same discussion on the drive home from theater. Hopefully they can cast it well.

I have to see my favorite part of Wii was getting it modified so I can play the NES and SNES emulators directly on through the Wii on my TV. Because of this, I now have 700+ NES games and 500+ SNES games. I usually only play Techmo Super Bowl, Dr. Mario and the Mario series but have had some post bar nights with friends playing Ice Hockey and RBI Baseball.

I didn't go to Marquette, but another Jesuit school and I have to say that I completely did not understand what being at Jesuit school meant. This is not at all meant as a disparaging Marquette/Loyola/Jesuits/Catholicism. I actually ended up really liking the whole experience and learned a lot and got super involved in service because of Loyola's Jesuit teachings, but to start out on campus as someone who didn't have any experience with it, it was a little overwhelming. If you're not from a Jesuit HS, I think you'll find it very different to begin with. I went to a public high school and I was completely not prepared for the Jesuit/religion thing to come across so strongly. Maybe that was naive of me. I had never been in a place where so many young people were so strongly religious. Don't get me wrong, it certainly wasn't like I was getting hit across the head with religion every moment of every day, but the basic Jesuit teachings like Ad Majorem Dei Glorium, education of the whole person, and service come across in pretty much every on-campus activity. I'm worried that I'm going to turn people off by saying these things, but let me add that I am not highly religious, nor Catholic and I was at school for 4.5 years and never felt uncomfortable. I found the experience so wonderful that I considered joining the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. But I do wish that I had known these things before I stepped on campus because I found it very off-putting at first. And the Jesuits are the most liberal of Catholics too. I loved my time at Marquette and wouldn't change it for anything. I transfered to MU from the University of Arizona and even though the weather change was a shock, the education was fantastic. I majored in Marketing and Finance with a Poli Sci minor and found the education to be top notch. Marquette (as does UW-Madison) has a top 50 undergraduate business program. I liked the smaller class sizes to be helpful and the ability to intern while in school to be great. To me, the smaller school was better than the entire big campus expiernce - minus the weather and woman in Zona.

I only highlighted the public schools, but if we included private than Marquette would be on par with the tier two schools. It's not nationally recognized like Madison. You really underestimate Milwaukee though, it has a really great business, engineering, and architecture school. Actually Marquette is tier one according to all rankings. So is UW-Madison. UW-Milwaukee is a tier four school. Those are just the facts.

Many of these workers lived in the city. These are the bright and talented 27-35 year old talent that Wisconsin loses a lot. It is this type of thinking that expedite the "brain drain" that Wisconsin experiences.

UW-Milwaukee is actually a tier four school. UW-Madison and Marquette are the only tier 1 schools in the state.

All that I have spoken with will be moving to Chicago. Most are not from Milwaukee but moved here to work for Miller, though some are from the area but will be leaving as there are not jobs that pay like Miller in Milwaukee. Also, the new jobs being created are all blue collar and not equal to the value in terms income.

the jobs lost have an average income in the six figure range. miller was one of the few companies left that could attract top marketing talent to the city. there isn't much left to do but move to chicago if this is your field.

then why look anywhere but near the lake???? read his orginal post. lol. west is cheaper and closer to work. he may value that over amenities and the night life. night life is about 4th on my list after being able to walk to the grocery store, parks, restaurants and then bars. also, if you are smart you can find nice places on the east side for a reasonable amount. my one bedroom with heat, water and underground parking is only $640. i personally find living anywhere but the city to be dull. growing up in new berlin and waukesha has left me scared for life.

they are going to be sharing some brewing responsibilities. ie Miller Lite being brewed in Golden and Coors Light being brewed in Milwaukee. They are also merging all of the administrative and sales team members. There still will be separate brand teams for each brands. It is just not a distribution tool even though 2/3 of all Miller distributors also distribute Coors nationwide.

You can get High Life, but only on draft. The reason behind not having Miller High Life in plastic bottles is pure economics. Miller High Life does not carry a price point, other than in Milwaukee, to be able to cover the costs of producing the product in plastic. MGD does carry that higher price point.
