  1. Sierra Nevada sells what they call an "Extra IPA" by the name of Torpedo. Give it a try if you like hops. It's almost too intense. I have never been a Sierra Nevada fan. Torpedo was ok - but there are hundreds of better IPA's to be drank. I don't know what hops it is, cascade I think, that they just use way too much of.
  2. Was up in Seattle this past weekend and had a couple great IPA's. Mack n Jack's was great - a little more bitter than fav's but damn tastey. Then I had Manny's. This beer freaking rocks. Bitter, citrusy, big huge hops - it was awesome. Also went to Pikes Brewery and Pyramid and they good. Pyramid Thunderhead is a pretty good IPA. The Hefe was weak in taste and reminded me of Miller Lite.
  3. It seems like it's been that way for a while--at a certain point, even a great burger just isn't worth it to me.I have found that if you go to Kuma about 2 or 3 in the afternoon you can get a table fairly quickly at Kuma. What really hurts Doug's is the limited hours. I had the Lair of the Minotaur - fantastic!!!
  4. I am a huge fan of Kuma. I just hope it doesn't end up like Hot Dougs where it takes you 2 hrs to get food. Plus Kuma has a great beer selection.
  5. also, for every dollar spent on baseball you must match that dollar with a woman's sport.
  6. I would think nuts are an important part of a Vegans diet. (Lots of peanut butter sandwiches!)The issue with just nuts is you don't get all of the amino acids you need. Soy (tofu) is the only non-animal product that gives you what your body needs via food. Even as a meat eater with a very healthy diet I come to really enjoy soy (tofu, edamame) - especially in Thai, Indian and Chinese cuisine.
  7. I have had two very close friends get 4.35 30yr fixed in the last 2 wks on their mortgages. If you have the right credit you can get a great loan.
  8. All this Danny G American Idol crap in Milwaukee. Who is this clown anyway? A glorified karaoke singer that transvestite Cher impersonators think is a talentless tool is really what he is. I cannot stand this tripe. People saying he has done so much good for Milwaukee? What the hell has he done that has affected the city in one way? Honestly - people make me sick!!!!!
  9. Anyone ever been to this place? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9N4Y1DpTxs
  10. I am more appalled that Wendy's puts Mayo on their burgers. YUCK! Mayo is the best thing to put on a burger as it makes a great sauce when it combines with meat juices. On a sort of related note, I'm also kind of grossed out by the fact that they claim to not freeze their burgers. What do they do, leave them out to rot? They use fresh meat that hasn't been frozen, but rather refrigerated.
  11. I recently just framed my "Greatest Moments of County Stadium" poster matted and framed and had my ticket from the last game embedded. You might want to look for that poster. I will post a picture tonight after I get home from work and the game tonight. It looks pretty sweet if you can find the poster. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y102/muspe02/countystadiummoment.jpg Edit: Added photo.
  12. Double double with cheese animal style from In N Out wins hands down. It is not even a contest and isn't close. I do like the Sourdough Jack from the Jack in the Crack. The fried egg option from Fatburger is great too.
  13. Had two new beers and an old one last night: Magic Hat #9 - Interesting beer that is very smooth. It could have used more hops IMO. Boulder Brewing Mojo IPA - This was a very drinkable yet dry IPA. Not as citrusy as I like my hops but really freaking good Also had a New Glarus Crack'd Wheat - love this wheat beer. Hoppy yet wheaty. It is good! Lastly, if you live in the Downtown Milwaukee area, Blatz Liquor in the Blatz Condo's is going to begin carrying sixers of Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA which is one of my 5 favorite beers ever.
  14. Having a Furthermore Fatty Boombalatty. Pretty darn tasty. It is just a hodge podge of styles which doesn't surprise me coming from them. It is Belgium White crossed with a Pale. Damn this is good. I really am starting to think Furthermore is the most underrated brewery in the state.
  15. I wish youtube and camera phones existed when I was in college...that table breaking scene reminds me of so many college type parties when you and your friends just do stupid stuff because it is funny. College? We are 28 in that video and all doing professional level jobs. Scary I know.
  16. I am in this video but I am not the table breaker. " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355" allowScriptAccess="never" >">
  17. I will be right in front you just over a few seats. Also, I have had to start jobs when I had something coming right up. I am going to assume you get the job - just give them the heads up right when you accept & I haven't had an issue or even an odd question once.
  18. Oddly enough I used to hate getting up the morning and would never really start getting into a groove until around mid morning. Then about two months ago I started working out in the morning (I go to the gym from about 5.30am-7am since I am not in the office until 8.30am) and found I am productive right off the bat and stay that way all day. I have no idea why, but working out in the morning now just helps me focus. It has also helped with my diet and sleeping patterns as I am usually in bed by 10.30 at the latest. Just my two cents.
  19. I always have found the 400 level to much more of drunken debacle on opening day which is why I chose the the LF bleachers.
  20. You also get a lot Pac 10 and Big 12 sports in HD. Every Thursday night Pac 10 game was in HD this year baring a conflict.
  21. Don't touch a moldy house ever. It is very hard to get rid of and very expensive. Houses sometimes have to be leveled because of mold. Just don't do it.
  22. I went to Ghana in 2000 to study. Absolutely loved it. Watch out for spiders - one bit me and could have killed me. But do it, you won't regret it.
  23. .I recently spoke to someone at the brewery and it should be here by mid April. They will have Fat Tire, Mothership Wit & 1554 here.
  24. I lived in Tucson when I went you U of A and that is pretty much the city. Not really a place a ton of people stick around too. One of my best friend is from Albuquerque and he always talks about going back. I have visited Austin and would move there pretty quickly. The people are very nice, night life is awesome, there is a lake right there and the weather is supurb. Pretty much Madison but not quite as many lefties in a hell of lot better climate.
  25. I personally like Organic Peanut Butter for the taste more than anything. There is no sugar in it so it actually tastes like peanuts. I get generic Roundy's Organic Peanut Butter.
