  1. Bases loaded, one out with Fielder and Hart hitting. Needed more than just one run.
  2. With Narveson running the bases, Roenicke ought to be thinking possible bullpen use in the 7th. Hate to waste another good start.
  3. Big inning. Bats came through for more than just 1 or 2 runs when there were multiple opportunities to score. Important change from the last week or so.
  4. Winning is fun! IIRC, that keeps the no consecutive losses at home streak going.
  5. Guess neither Betancourt nor Kottaras wanted their money's worth in their ABs tonight.
  6. Can't teach speed. Love watching Morgan bunt for hits and run the bases.
  7. Time for the offense to pick up Wolf. Tempting to have him hit for himself to lead off the inning. (Guess not for Roenicke.)
  8. Nothing like a 7-pitch inning for Baker after escaping the 5th inning with one run and having 3-runs of support for himself. Frustrating.
  9. And there's the big-fly off a down-the-middle changeup. Ugh.
  10. Rulebook costs a run. But another drive to right by Braun.
  11. Why Kotsay instead of Kottaras? Edit: Or why Kotsay at all?
  12. That was infinitely better for Marcum than the last 1st inning he pitched.
  13. Twins have hung an 8-spot on the Giants. Bumgarner didn't make it out of the first inning. Looks like they are moving towards white-hot......just in time to face the Brewers.
  14. This team really does need some "Jeff Cirillo/Mark Loretta" type hitters. Looks like Green and Gamel may have that potential. Unfortunately, it will be 2012 until they get playing time in the majors.........
  15. Because he asked Roenicke for more high-leverage situations to pitch in. Obviously Hawkins didn't know the trick about promotions/assignments: Always ask the supervisor for the opposite of what you want.
  16. Heaven help Betancourt if he doesn't produce a run here.
  17. Lucroy with the bomb! Too bad it was one batter too late in the order.
  18. So much for bringing in the ROOGY to end the inning. The wheels have fallen off the wagon.
  19. If Rosenthal's tweet is true, then Pujols' injury has the potential for a 7-8 week effect on his play. Figure on 4 weeks minimum to heal the fracture + 1 week minimum for rehab assignment/getting timing back. Then there's the question of how much strength might be lost and what effects the injury may have on his swing. I'm also curious about any injury concerns with his shoulder. If it takes 6 weeks to heal and 1 week to get back to "major league readiness," then we're looking at the beginning of August for Pujols to be back.
  20. Will the laid back Roenicke melt down over the strike zone? It's been brutal all series.
