  1. Perkins owns Sanchez. Confounding, but true.
  2. Let that one slip away. Also a bit fortunate not to have been swept in the series by winning the bizarro Game 1. Lousy to have played regular season games in that ballpark, particularly in consecutive series also involving Colorado. But it looks like the pitching staff will get out without being extremely overtaxed. Need a good day off and get up for the Phillies.
  3. Just saying, Vaughn does rhyme with Braun……
  4. Didn’t get the RBI hit from Contreras pinch-hitting. Now what does the defensive arrangement look like without infielders?
  5. Gas Can Patrick tonight. Not what was expected.
  6. Leaving potential runs on the base paths in a tight game.
  7. Guess you can't win them all. Tough to see a fangless offense display. Despite the overall record, getting little to no offense from RF and 3B needs to change. Frelick posting WAR/OPS+ rankings of -0.3 / 70 and Rengifo posting -0.5 / 51 going into tonight's game is pointing to replacement time.
  8. No dice for Perkins. Someone was bound to make outs against the position player, but this seems to summarize Perkins’ season so far.
  9. Got a bases loaded opportunity against a position player…..cashed in.
  10. He’s in the Padres organization at AAA after being with the Braves organization in 2025. He was a minor league free agent signing by both teams. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=rodrig026car
  11. Looks like Jett Williams is having a good month of May so far in Nashville. Would think he might be a call up possibility if that continues the next week or so. Has defensive versatility, though will need to be a 40-man roster addition.
  12. Like seeing Patrick being effective from the bullpen. Seems as if he fits that role, even if he can start games. He looks like a plus reliever.
  13. Made just enough of the opportunities to notch a victory. Keep adding to the win column any way you can.
  14. Needed that double play. Pitcher’s best friend.
  15. Time for a four-run inning to set up the Ashby win.
  16. Missing with three uncompetitive pitches after getting a 1-2 count. That was very unclutch.
  17. Finished off quite a few of those games where just barely enough was done to win last season. Didn’t get it tonight.
  18. One more power arm for late game situations, assuming being in playoff contention at the trade deadline.
  19. Took advantage of what the Yankees gave them late in the game. Two wins in the series so far: one where the damage was against the starter; the other where the runs scored against the bullpen. .
  20. Good to have the right-handed bats of Chourio and Vaughn return, especially prior to facing Fried and Rodon.
  21. Good job by Uribe pitching around the error for the save.
  22. Missed a few RBI chances this afternoon so far. Only 2-for-10 with RISP through 8 innings. Need the lockdown late-game bullpen performances.
