Anyone else go to the Fergie Jenkins signing at the Madison Mallards game today? I was FAR from impressed with Jenkins, and am very glad he wasn't a player that I really looked up to. He seemed like a complete jerk. He had 2 handlers on each side of him. You went through the line, and he made you hand your item to the first handler, who would then hand the item to Jenkins, who would then hand the item to the other handler, who handed it back to the person. I was towards the front of the line, and wasn't sure what was going on when I got there. He had a stack of 8x10's he was signing in blue marker, and I had a ball I wanted him to sign which I didn't want signed in blue marker. So I handed my ball to the handler, and asked if he could sign with the pen I had. He wasn't paying attention and reached for my pen, and put a huge ink mark across my ball. He said "Oops" before continuing to not pay attention. I was not happy about that. Then he handed it to Jenkins, who signed it and handed it to the other handler. I said "thanks a lot Mr. Jenkins" and he never acknowledged me or even looked at me. Jenkins may be the nicest person in the world, but I walked away thinking "What a jerk!"
