  1. Are we 100% positive Gallardo is going to get shut down or his innings are going to limited? I know this has been discussed over and over again, but is there a chance that the current situation might dictate Gallardo pitching an extra 30 innings this year. I understand the big picture, I am just suggesting the thoughts that management might change their plans.
  2. There are more Cub fans scattered across the country then any other fan base (maybe besides the Yankees) National media would be crazy not to cover them as much as possible. Yeah, it's annoying to us brewer fans but if you aren't interested, I suggest just turning the channel or just taking it for what it is.

  6. Bill Michaels just said on WTMJ that one of the players told him "We aren't waiting for Ned Yost, we are going to have to win this thing ourselves". I guess that statement could be interpreted in a number of ways. but it was interesting. If this is true, than I think this is huge. If the team has turned on him, time to go Ned.

  8. What is considered average for OBP with most people? Does that average change for most people when taking into consideration SLG percentage?
  9. If the Brewers win the division, the excitement and nervousness that August and September will bring will be well worth it. Starting today we are tied in the lost colum with the Cubs with 9 weeks of baseball to play. I can't wait for the stretch drive....this is going to be fun, and yes I am confident we will come out on top. There is no other team I would rather be competing against for our first NL Central title.
  10. There are those of us who like Yost and those of us you don't. Fans are also looking for specific examples of why he is good manager or why is he a bad manager. I think it might benefit all of us if we ridicule him or praise him in one thread where we can look back at specific examples of his decision making. I honestly believe he is the only manager in baseball who would have pitched to Pujols in the 7th inning last night in a 3-2 game with a runner on third with one out. To me that was unexcusable and mind boggling to say the least. I know Yost is going to take the blame for things beyond his control and will never get enough credit when the team wins....but isn't a big part of his job, trying to give the best possible chance for his team to win the game? Was pitching to Pujols really giving his team the best chance to suceed? Granted we probably wouldn't have came back and won anyway, but 12+ hours after the decisoin, I still can't get over it. Then to see him smiling in the dugout when the camera man had a close-up of him in the 9th inning caused me to upchuck a little bit.
  11. By Friday? With the rate this ridiculously crappy team is playing, Cubs will have the division by Monday. Well, no Playoffs this year boys. I didn't realize crappy teams led divisions in late July. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=30473
  12. According to rotoworld, the Cubs would be getting Payton for a couple mid level minor leaguers.....Matt Murton also might be included in the deal.
  13. Are you the same guy who said we would be out of first place by August 1st? A win today guarantees first place on August 1st.

  15. Does anybody have a link for this? I have not heard or seen any news on this.
  16. The Brewers are going to win 3 of 4 in St. Louis while the Cubs lose 2 of 3 in Cincy and the lead will be at 3.5 by Sunday night.
  17. Looks like the division lead is going to stay at 2 games. After reading the ingame thread I thought our lead would be down to 1 after tonight.
  18. Runner on third, one out, Puljos up, no runs.
  19. True the Brewers face the Phillies but we only get them for 3 games while the Cubs get them for 4 games.
  20. Well, it's probably working. People are dying for something to happen. I just can't see anything big happen this year.....at best an average middle reliever is all I see happening.
  21. If Glavine wins tonight, he will be going for #300 at Miller Park on Tuesday.
  22. I thought I heard Dessens was almost finish with his rehab assignments and joining the big league club soon
  23. Who goes down when Dessens comes up? My predictions Dessens for Balfour Gross for Spurling
