  1. If the Brewers finish the season under .500 will you renew your season ticket package next year?
  2. 4 games under .500 with 3 games against Pittsburgh, 4 games against Washington, 3 games against Atlanta and 2 games against Houston. That means we need to go 8-4 over the next 12 games. If we can right the ship and get to .500 by June 1st, I will feel much better about things. I am not ready to give up on this team. For the record, I do believe this team will make the playoffs this year, although Yost will never manage a team in the playoffs...so hopefully the decision is made tomorrow and we can move forward. Personally I think the best time to get rid of Yost should have been after the first game on the doubleheader yesterday.....
  3. This thread is turning into a joke. The whole point of the thread is to SUPPORT your Milwaukee Brewers. Instead we have people who feel the need to critique and criticize other Brewer fans for trying to rally the troops. The Brewers and Cubs are on the brink of becoming one of the top 5 rivalries in all of baseball.....lets have some fun with it.
  4. How does Eau Claire not make the list for best cities for someone under 30? Also Jeffrey's Tavern in Dodgeville should get some recognition for top 10 spots in Wisconsin
  5. Since 2004 here is how we have done in the last 4 opening series. 2007: 2-1 2006: 3-0 2005: 2-0 2004: 3-1 Yes its the Cubs we are playing so it will be a "little" bit more important but it wont be the end of the world if we don't win the series. Imagine what are record would have been if we wouldn't have won the first series of the past 4 years. I think this series is just as important to the Brewers to win the division as was the last series in Wrigley last season. Every game against the Cubs is a 2 game swing in the standings.
  6. I would be very surprised to see Villanueva in the rotation to start the season Sheets Gallardo Suppan Bush Capuano
  7. Villanueva and Counsell (I don't see craig getting one hit this year)
  8. Just the title of the thread makes me shake me head. As little as calling a group of poster's kids to prove your point is tasteless in my opinion.
  9. My vote goes for the 1982 Brewers. Enough already.
  10. Isn't that important Russ? Whether we agree with the rankings or not, they should still be taken seriously if it leads to player compensation.
  11. Isn't that important Russ? Whether we agree with the rankings or not, they should still be taken seriously if it leads to player compensation.
  12. I would definately give up Bush to get Abreu. 1 year at 16 million is worth it to me.
  13. Seems like a lot of guys are getting released from their teams. Aren't there any brewerfan.netters who have left their team because they fulfilled their contract and went for greener pastures?
  14. Sheethead, I hope you are kidding. I can only imagine how difficult the process is going to be to refund everybody. I think you are asking too much by expecting it to be done the first day after the season is over. My guess would be that everyone will be refunded by next week.
  15. Boston over Angels (5) Yankees over Indians (4) Dbacks over Cubs (5) Rockies over Phillies (4) Yankees over Redsox (5) Dbacks over Rockies (7) Yankees over Dbacks (5)
  16. I can't wait. I wonder what color tie Scottie B will be wearing.
  17. That's bold. If you are not an extreme insider, I don't see how anyone can be that sure. Taking a step back an evaluating the situation and how the season played out down the stretch I don't see how they can bring him back. He has proved that he can't handle pressure situations, will be constantly outmanaged, and has a fragile psyche. He will never be able to lead this team to where we - including Mark A. - all want it to go. I am sticking by my 100% guarantee. Yost is coming back.
  18. If 90% of your fan base thinks a manager should be gone, then I think it is safe to say that he should be gone. With that being said, there is 100% chance Ned is cominng back. I can promise you that.
  19. I agree that Yost isn't winning any brownie points with me by continually putting down the fans and acting like a "fan" has no clue about the game of baseball and how to manage a game. When you have 90% of people hoping for a decision to be made by your manager and your manager does the opposite, I think it is fairly safe to say that the majority of "fans" get it and the manager doesn't.
  20. Lets go Cubbies. 4 more hours til first pitch. All you have to do is show up today.....with all the talent on your team and the great fans behind you, today should be a cake walk. 2007 Central Divsion Champions Chicago Cubs.
  21. Congratulations on winning the division Cubs. You and your fans deserve it. I can't wait to watch you take care of business this weekend against the Pirates. If there is one thing I have learned about baseball in my 29 years of life it is that the Cubs are a great organization who take advantage of every opportunity presented to them. Take care of business today against those Pirates, anything other than a sweep is unexceptible.
  22. Nice start tonight Big Z
  23. Actually the Cubs started losing games when this thread was created. That is why I like the idea of bringing it back.
