For anyone who has ever met Lenny Dykstra this is no surprise. Probably one of the saddest individuals I have ever come across. -
My question is, if he was only going to let DeFelice pitch to one batter (if he didn't get him out) why wouldn't he just brought Coffey in after removing Stetter. Letting Suppan hit in the 7th was not a smart move at all. So far, I am not impressed by Macha but I guess anything is better than Yost.

Is Zimmerman from Auburndale? If so he would join Mark Tauscher as the second professional athlete to come out of that town. That is amazing to me.

Congrats to North Dakota St. For those who don't know Saul Phillips (one of Bo Ryan's top assistants) is the head coach with Bo's son Will an assistant on the staff. They reached the tournament during their 1st year eligible in Division 1. Fellow Brewerfan poster Luke232323, your brother Mike had a great game! Congrats on the victory.

I have a hard time understanding how someone can complain about their "extra" opening day tickets. The demand for opening day is higher than it has ever been. They would easily be able to sell 3 times the capacity to opening day this year. The Brewers offer so many different type of season ticket plans with opening day as an option, if opening day is that important to you why don't you purchase a plan with opening day in it? Like the memo said, if you aren't happy with your seats, you can return the seats and get a refund. There are plenty of people out there that would love to have those obstructed view seats in the section 404.

Still not out of it yet. 8-0 is still a possibility. Just win tomorrow. I hope to see each and everyone of you at Miller Park for the playoffs in two weeks. The Phillies are going to get swept this weekend....I still like our chances even if we don't finish 8-0. And don't worry there will be no new username. If this is my last post, I just want everyone to know that no matter how frustrating this season has become, you all better be back next season. For how much time we all devote to this team and this site, it would be a real shame if we lost even 1 fan this season. The Crew still has a nice future and when opening day rolls around next year....the next pennant race will begin. Doug Jones, I think it is really sad how negative you are. If you can't even enjoy your favorite baseball team why even watch the games? It's pretty easy to be positive when things are going good...Hopefully you will enjoy this team sometime again in your lifetime. Only 1 team can end the year on a high note and since I am not a Packer fan, I have never had a chance to experience that yet with any of my favorite Wisconsin teams. When that day comes it will be worth it. -

Brewer Fever, thanks for the offer, but I would not feel right taking your Weeks autograph jersey when the Brewers make the playoffs. At that point everybody around here will be so happy I wouldn't want to take any of that enjoyment away from a fellow bf.net user. Just enjoy the ride and see what happens. And for all of those who think I will re-appear under a different screen name, that is not going to happen. I am confident in my prediction, I will have to deal with the consequences if that prediction falls short. Life will be different without brewerfan.net but I honestly don't think I will have to worry about it. -

This is not some thread I am starting just to try to give myself a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season. I will put my reputation on the line. This season is going to end special and it starts tomorrow night boys and girls! Get on board and enjoy it. We are finishing this season 8-1. Trust me on this one, the regular season will end on a high note. One game at a time......lets rally behind the troops and get this done. Edit: The only threads that get "official" titles are those official threads which are started by a Brewerfan moderator, or previously approved as official by a Brewerfan moderator. This thread, being neither of those two, is thereby not "official." "Official" removed from title. - Toby Edit 2 and 3: I can't spell/punctuate.

I give Gagne a TON of credit for getting out of the 8th inning with the game still tied. Guys are going to give up home runs. I would rather have him serve up a solo shot then to come in and walk people. I just don't get why people get so worked up that he is making 10 million dollars this year. It is not your money paying him and its not like having Gagne on this team prevented us from signing any other free agent. We took a chance with him, he has had his moments. Maybe if we can score more than 2 runs a game against the Padres we wouldn't even be talking about this.

Lets all put this in perspective. If all we care about is winning the wild card, then we just accomplished a lot in the past two days. We broke even with the Cardinals, Mets and Phillies. 2 more games out of the way, maintaining a 4 game lead in the loss column. What is disappointing is losing another game to the Cubs. Can't really get more than 6 games back if we want to win the division. Hopefully the Phillies can win 3 out of 4 this weekend in Wrigley and we can win 2 out of 3 in Pittsburg.

If the Phillies sweep us, they will pass the Mets. We will not finish behind both the Mets and Phillies. These games are a lot more relaxing when you start to realize, we are going to the playoffs this year.

I agree, falling 6 games behind the Cubs is the killer in tonight's loss. The wild card race is over in my opinion. The Cards are not good enough to catch us and the chances of both the Mets and Phillies catching is is pretty low.

A win tomorrow or a loss by Washington elimates the Nationals from wild card contention.....one team down!

That 10 pitch at bat by Counsel might have led to Braun's home run. Come on Rluz, I am not a Counsell fan at all but having a 10 pitch battle early in the game like that does indeed have some value. More value than a 2 out single with nobody in base.

I have a lifetime subscription with Sirius for $500. I hope with the merger I get the baseball package added to my list. Sirius radio is one of the best creations ever!
