  1. my house was broken into over the weekend. a laptop was stolen, among other things. i have log me in on the laptop. i have an IP address that was used to access the computer at least 3 times since it was stolen...same address each time. all i have been able to determine from my limited computer knowledge is that the IP address is an AT&T address from Milwaukee. is there anything else i can do to determine where this computer is? MPD seems to be occupied with other things to call me back about this.
  2. his last local show was real good. his guests are top notch. i also like his idol reviews because i tend to agree with him 95% of the time. dont judge the man by his MNF performance...i think the radio gig is better than PTI. by the end it was pretty obvious he had no interest in MNF.
  3. most people also lose boyhood status when they decide to make babies. if not they better grow up quickly
  4. story i heard is that the stand was geared for kids but was ravaged by everyone...thus they eliminated it. i think the stand walker is talking about is the one previously discussed near the playground, but the final product added the cookies
  5. Probably not that much considering Football is one of the only sports that is self-supportive and brings money in to the university. They get paid oodles to go around the country and get beat up by D1 teams in the non-conference schedule. i dont recall UW-L playing any D-1 programs in football.
  6. i think all the prime quarter restaurants are closed...at least in milwaukee
  7. the first couple of these in the series were pretty funny. i was excited to see what they would say about wrigley, and it left lots to be desired. the MP one was less than stellar also. http://deadspin.com/tag/why-your-stadium-sucks/
  8. a 7-month old is fairly easy to take to a game. get a snugli if you dont have one and it is a breeze.

  10. Dock Ellis http://www.snopes.com/sports/baseball/ellis.asp
  11. the entire athletic department functions from basically 2 revenue sources...ticket sales and donations. i have a badger fund book around here somewhere that breaks down the operating costs and where funds come from...i wish i knew where it was. EDIT: found this list of endowments for the athletic department for last year. interesting... http://uwbadgers.com/badger_fund/endowed_8909.pdf EDIT AGAIN: found the charts i was looking for online http://uwbadgers.com/badg...fit_information_5023.pdf
  12. and if that is the case it will be gone in a couple years if there is no plan to sustain the program. everyone wants bud selig or someone to give money to start the team, but what happens what that money runs dry??
  13. i think this is a tired topic. most everyone would like to see the UW have baseball, but is not an economically smart decision for the athletic department.
  14. if it was anything like my basement, i got more water in the second round than the first round
  15. the thing i took out of that video was the quality of the video...real nice!
  16. saget has been the way he is forever http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/bobsaget/bobsaget1.html the scene from half baked mentioned in the rider is classic.
  17. sure, but its not like brewers tickets are impossible. bucks played to 82% of capacity and the brewers were about 85% (give or take) last year. besides a couple games a year, the brewers are a fairly easy ticket. That 82% attendance is the paid attendance, meaning the tickets were already purchased via season tickets and other outlets. I went to about 5 or so Bucks games and if they had more than 8000 there on any of those nights, I would be shocked. The Bucks are having a hard time giving their tickets away, so it is no surprise that they are offering up the store to keep their season ticket holders. But it is cyclical, the Bucks we be good again some day and all of the cheap (some times free) tickets will be gone along with the jerseys, concession money, ect. so enjoy it while you can. That or they will move to another city and we can all enjoy a movie at the local iPic. If you looked at other MLB clubs, you will find the Brewers have some of the best season ticket perks. it is still 82% of tickets that are not available for purchase from the ticket office. i was just trying to point out that the brewers are not a difficult ticket short of a couple games/series. nearly any night you can walk up and get tickets

  19. Section 425 / Row 16 2 for $20 or 4 for $30. Pick up in Tosa Saturday morning/afternoon or Bay View Saturday night or Sunday morning. temke@yahoo.com if interested. thanks.
  20. compared to the bucks, the perks offered to brewers ticket holders are really not much. http://www.nba.com/bucks/tickets/newssns_0910.html
  21. he is really beating the dead horse with this one. most people are on the same page with this one...great idea, but logistically difficult. college athletics is a business. businesses need to make smart financial decisions. baseball in wisconsin in april and may is not a smart financial decision...without a roof. someone could donate the money to start the team, but it needs to be sustained also.
  22. she was on a couple soap operas after SBTB. not sure what since then. the video is definitely worth a watch. getting screech to the reunion may be difficult. his rider is on smoking gun and he is really weird about screech...though he had no problem using the connection when he was broke and about to foreclose on his house a couple years back.
  23. there were a couple last year on the south/southwest side of milwaukee. i would assume they will move to the south suburbs in the future. there was also one at sherman park last year. i wonder what the JS people were saying about that one
  24. in honor of grace they should call it the "slump-buster" seats.
