  1. if they put the rink in the right spot, sight lines shouldnt be bad at camp randall. the rink placement at wrigley is horrible.
  2. this is what makes me side against TW. they had the same problems with BTN and NFL. it would be one thing if they werent jacking up prices all the time. thank goodness i dumped them...my 3 year old still gets her nick and noggin. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. i would guess they think you are more likely to buy other stuff if you are at the store. i made a second trip back just for a couple shirts as christmas gifts.
  4. shouldnt this be on the football board? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  5. agree with the scalpers...there are always tons of them outside the arena. madison craigslist has lots of tickets...but many of them are student tickets.
  6. you are correct...you need a converter. i think the government coupons are available to make them about $10 for a basic one. i would think that you can get nearly all channels that you could previously pull in with an antenna with the converter...but not totally sure about this one. the biggest misconception out there is that people with only basic cable will have to get digital cable. not true...any cable service is good.
  7. they are the gray locker room shirts that were selling for $35 after they won the wild card. only had XL and XXL as of yesterday afternoon. open until 4 today for last minute gifts!
  8. way better than the 5,000 messages i have got from the brewers.com store. they are relentless
  9. clark howard is fantastic. wish we would get more than an hour of his show.
  10. how about something like this? http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3075/2703973246_1d85c79c69.jpg?v=0
  11. the southridge location is selling everything...cash registers, shelves, tv's (42" off-brand plasma for $700), tables, chairs, desks, mannequins. really
  12. why do they do this? they do this with the bobbleheads also. its not like you arent going to be able to move the excess product. they know they gave away more than 40,000 vouchers, but only order 40,000. i understand they realize everyone wont pick theirs up, but like i said, it wont be a difficult product to move...unlike jeffrey hammonds bobbleheads.
  13. woodman's has been alright. i tend to go early evening...after the dinner rush. the registers are always busier than the stores. maybe that is because their aisles actually have space to fit 2 carts through them (im looking at you pick n save!)
  14. just like the woodman's next door, i plan to avoid it for a couple months. or at the least just do their take-out. it killed me to not go to woodman's after it opened, knowing the deals that are there from living in madison, but i just didnt want to deal with the ridiculous stories i heard from friends about how busy it was...especially considering the check-out lines are not the fastest things even on slow days.
  15. i think i have a couple. check your inbox.
  16. there is some sort of 2008 DVD that should be available soon. they gave coupons out to everyone at the first playoff game and apparently were giving out coupons to those who spend a certain amount of money at the fan zone. not sure if they are retailing these...i cant imagine they wouldnt. i want to see if they will sell the ornament they are giving away with the 4-packs. my tree needs one of those!
  17. they just opened a bw3 on howell south of rawson in OC next to the woodmans. i would assume they would have plenty of games on.
  18. i meant to post about the email i received hinting at one starting at midnight. they have been less than stellar lately. roomba up right now...$150. could be there for a while. they did sell an arcade game for $200 early this morning though http://www.woot.com/Forum...wPost.aspx?PostID=2812897
  19. the clubhouse sale is this weekend also...just a friendly reminder sweet picture
  20. I was thinking about getting a subscription for by brother-in-law for Christmas. Anyone have a recommendation either way?
  21. had 2 civics ('90 and '04). traded the '04 for a pilot when we had kids. both were fantastic. definitely check with the dealer about it being certified pre-owned. my pilot was certified pre-owned and we got a decent warranty with it...though we all know that everything that needs replacement is never covered on the warranty http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  22. unfortunately that happens before snowstorms everywhere. i got into the habit of going shopping every wednesday when i was home with our baby a couple years ago. it just happened that one wednesday was the night before a snowstorm was predicted. the amounts of people with bread, milk, and water in their shopping cart was astounding. when was the last time you remember a snowstorm in milwaukee where people were "snowed in"??
  23. my u-verse guide showed basketball on the alternate channel at the regular time. i hope that is the case!!
  24. Elsewhere on the board, I thought someone had said that only current terrace ticket treat customers could continue with that package (i.e. no new TTT accounts). Indeed, here is the post. true. i couldnt even attempt to relocate seats.
  25. youre still alive...right? seems to be fine! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
