  1. This makes me sick. Succcessful teams like the Angels, Red Sox and Rays getting extra picks. The whole free agent thing should be reworked.
  2. Is it possible they are looking at Biddle for the second round? Baseball America has him listed as their 114th rated prospect. Has his "stock" risen that much?
  3. They should try to come up with some ideas to better prepare the starting pitchers to be able to go out and be effective in the first inning.
  4. I wonder how this would have gone if it was Carlos Zambrano instead of Gallaraga!
  5. He should have to take Bernie's place for the rest of the season.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  6. Also 1-7 at home. Opening day plus and Saturday plus packages have one win. Caught the nice 3-0 series in AZ though.
  7. Sorry about your desert. Uhh, yes I remember what baseball was like. I had 20 or 40 game packages the whole time. And watched the games on TV. I consider those that accept sub .500 as successful to be "wrong headed".
  8. Two seasons of over .500! One playoff appearance. Thats successful? Ok, I get it, small market teams will never compete. Small market teams will never compete.... I have to keep repeating that to myself, because Im one of the idiots that buys tickets and watches games thinking they can.
  9. Im not up on who the up and coming general manager candidates are. (Dont think baseball america has covered that lately). Often teams go for the #2 man from successful organizations. Several former Red Sox front office guys have landed elsewhere, the phillies already promoted their #2 guy, and the former Cardinals GM is in Cincy. Dean Taylor probably got noticed 'cause the Braves won so many division titles. It looks like the Melvin era is generally a failure, and they should start over. I would assume this will happen after the season, so that ticket sales dont drop too far for next year. Its all about giving the fans that false hope that they could contend.
  10. Coffey pitching the 9th? I guess you have to have Soup 100% to relieve Davis in the 5th tomorrow.
  11. Is he hiding an injury? Yeh, the same neck injury Jeff Suppan had.
  12. Why are there people on here totally dismissing the idea that Hoffman may be done. Right now, it doesnt matter to me that he is the all time saves leader. I was hoping this was a playoff team. Lets let that dream die eary because our closer is a future hall of famer? We might as well be happing with present day Tom Glavine in our rotation then. He pitched a year longer than he should have too.
  13. I found it interesting that all 8 (or so) pitches that he saw...including the 1-2 pitch for a homerun were NOT strikes according to the tracker.
  14. Cant see the FSN graphics showing balls, strikes, outs, score, etc on WMLW
  15. My GF is trying to find it on Time Warner-Racine, with no luck so far.
  16. Morgan wanted to make this racial. He was trying to say the twins were a small market team when Tori Hunter was a free agent, but not when they signed Mauer.
  17. why counsell in that spot? Dont you want someone with more than warning track power?
  18. He pitched at Miller twice last season. At the time, I meantioned that it looks like he balks. His feet are always moving after he is set. I thought of him last night when the MLB network guys were talking about the Marlins releiver that was called for a balk yesterday.
  19. I got three out of three people to beleive a simple "Brewers released Suppan!" text today!
  20. Will be in AZ 13th-28th. Last year was the first year the Ice Man was there. I wasnt happy to hear his tired routine. Then i had a glimmer of hope that he had actually retired and wouldnt be at miller park for the regular season. I of course was wrong.
